Potential Heroes

"Alright, let's begin. I now have enough mana to summon eight heroes. Do you have any thoughts?" Alban asked Rallmul.

Rallmul had a couple of ideas, "we should summon a financial accountant and a merchant for two of the heroes, My Lord." He answered.

"Oh, I get it. Money is tight and despite you selling the items the bandits had in the treasury, there's nothing else for us to sell. We need to budget and find ways to make money. So I think, the two of them should be from this world." Alban says.

That's right. It should be someone who knew this world and how it operates. That was what Rallmul was going for.

"I'll first summon the merchant and the financial accountant together. You will deal with their state of mind, let's begin." Alban says.

"Summon Merchant! Summon Financial Accountant!" He casts the summoning circle while thinking of the type of heroes he wanted to summon.

(Meanwhile, located in the far east kingdom)

A woman, who works for a feeble lord, is seen entering a mansion. She had average looks (the typical glasses wearing female) and a thin figure. This woman has been to a special academy for genius minds like hers. As soon as she opened the doors to enter the mansion, a bright light caught her off guard.

The visuals of seeing her there but no longer there, was seen by no one. She disappeared into thin air as if she had never been there in the first place.

(Eastern Gates, Merchant Market)

From the sky a large bird swoops down to land neatly before two, tall bronze doors that lead to Merchant Market. On top of the huge bird was a tent latched tightly to it's back. A group of fox creatures that walk on their hind legs came piling out of the tent. Each of them carried a bag on their shoulders that could be called spatial bags for merchants.

When they approached the gate being guarded by Wolf-Beast People, a bright light flashed and then they were gone. The Wolfmen thought there was an attack on the Market and went ballistic.

(Back at the Demon's Territory)

This time he summoned a human woman and four fox beast people. Rallmul already had cast the mental spell on them the moment they appeared. He also had the Magic sphere ready to make sure they were what Demon King Alban had wanted to summon.

"What's going on? Why were we summoned to such a place?" The woman, who goes by the name of Roletta, asked. She was the financial accountant with an A Rank Potential, though her profile stated she was a genius when it comes to dealing with money.

It doesn't say that much, but that's what Alban's assuming. "You've been summoned to the demon's territory to serve me, the Demon King." He told them.

"Demon King? Didn't that guy die a hundred or so years ago?" A little fox asked.

Out of these four foxes, this little runt was the most special with an S Rank Potential as a Merchant. As for the other three, their potential was B or A Rank. Either way that's amazing he was able to summon four at once without losing additional mana.

"I'm the newborn Demon King who have been awakened a couple of days ago. You can call me Demon King Alban." He introduced himself.

"It's better if you call him, My Lord or Young Master." Rallmul says curtly.

Working under a demon was not on her list of goals in life, "I'm sorry but I will have to turn you..." Roletta was about to reject but before she could the red devil was standing before her with a thunderous expression on his face.

"I will have to reject your rejection. Once summoned, you cannot be unsummoned. My Lord took you in as a commodity. Someone who's meant to be owned and not someone who can just leave as they please." He looked ready to swallow her whole.

It's not the best way to put it, but it's not wrong either. If he showed any signs of weakness here, then they will never treat him like the king he is and continue to see him as a mere child just because of how he appears to be. The woman shrunk back from the look in Rallmul's eyes.

At that moment, as if she was made to interrupt, Urayama came barging in as usual. It's becoming her habit it seems. "There you go scaring the poor thing. What are you, some kind of Devil?" She asked.

Realizing the words that came out her mouth, she smirked, "oh right. That's exactly what you are." She turned to face Alban's throne, "My Lord. May I be the one to show the Miss around?" She asked.

Rallmul glared at Urayama, "why you? shouldn't one of the servants do it? Aren't you supposed to be rolling around with those sweaty warriors or something?" He asked.

Alban sighed. Every time the two come together, they're like a married couple, "it's fine. Just like Rallmul had said, we have servants who can do that now. Leave it to them. Also, Rallmul continue with the foxes." Alban ordered.

"Yes, My Lord." They said in unison.

Urayama stayed with them because she was curious about the new summons. Once they were taken to the servants quarters she still stayed behind. "What is it that you want? Aren't you done being a busy body?" Rallmul snapped.

Alban slammed his fist on the arm of his throne, "the moment you start, I'll have you both severely punished." He warns.

Urayama closed her mouth tightly, but she was upset that Rallmul was left with the last words. That damned old bastard devil is always picking a fight.

While on his end, he was thinking the same thing about her.

"The two of you are dismissed. Whatever thing that you need, you can take it up with our accountant once she's situated. Rallmul go deal with her, she'll be a bit difficult to handle." Alban says.

Rallmul bowed before he and Urayama left the throne room.

Alban sighed once again. Perhaps it was the curtain. He should quickly find something more decent to put on. Or else no one around here will treat him with sincerity.
