Chapter 43

Since I learnt how to paint I bought this apartment to store all the painting in here, so that in the future when I meet you again I can show them to you", He Long said as he looked at the biggest painting in the middle. It was a painting of both his family and Ming Chen's family when they were still Zhao Yang and Li Jun.

"They really care about you", Ming Chen said, he was talking about the He couple. They adored and loved their son so much. How could any parents see their most loved child depressed and lifeless. Ming Chen already loved the He couple even though he hasn't even met them yet. 

"Yes, they are wonderful parent", He Long said as she guided Ming Chen to the other paintings. Ming Chen either cried, laughing or smiled looking at the pictures, but there was one picture that was covered that he didn't see yet.

"Why is that one covered", Ming Chen asked pointing at a small canvas in the corner. He Long who had finally stop crying felt eyes dwell in his eyes. 

"We were going to have two beautiful children, a little princess and a little prince, but they never got to see the world and we neve got to see them. I already dreams about a life with them, playing with them, teaching them, feeding them, I sat down to paint with the thought of our kids and I painted this. Whenever I look at it I cant control my emotions that's why its covered". 

Ming Chen was already in tears as he heard that it was a painting of their children, he walked towards it and took of the covered, tears streamed down his face as he saw the painting of two cute little children. A boy and girl wearing Demon Kingdoms clothes and smiling. Ming Chen didn't know why but he felt like if his children were born they would have looked like that. 

The pair cried in each other's embrace. Only after some time did they leave the room and head to the kitchen. Ming Chen was still in a daze, he was full of regret, and He Long could tell what Ming Chen was thinking.

"Its not your fault, those people let greed take over them. Plus we started a new life together now haven't we, and I bet our cute little ones are already reborn and with a family that loves and cares for them", He long said as he placed his hand on Ming Chen's cheeks. Ming Chen nodded. 

The two of them had gotten dinner reheated and sat down to eat, while eating He Long mentioeded that he had started gathering information about the Ming family, but he wont make a moved on them unless Ming Chen tell him to do so. 

"Not now, I still need sometime to prepare mentally for everything, during that time just keep gathering more information ok?", Ming Chen asked He Long. 

"Of course, anything for you my love", He Long said as he kissed Ming Chen.

During the time He Long gathering more information about the First Ming branch and second Ming branch Ming Chen was working with his third uncle to find anything wrong with He Long and his nephew. 2 weeks had passed and his third uncle finally found something that could help. 

His third uncle found a trace of something that belongs to both He Long and Ye Xiaojan. Although his third uncle wasn't sure he was asked one of his friends who was a veterinarian who specialized in poisonous animals and found that it was a type of poison found in a snake. No one in China can freely own this type of snake unless they have had a special licence. 

Ming Chen had called He Long to tell him about this but He Long had asked him to meet him in the He Corporation Building. He Long insisted that he came or He Long wont talk to him. Although Ming Chen knew that He Long couldn't bare to not talk to him, he also knew that He Long would sulk all day and be moody towards other. 

Ming Chen had no choice but to visit him after all. Ming Chen took his car and drove to the He building. It was a massive building with over 100 floors, at least that's what it looked like to Ming Chen. Once he entered the building he had intended to call He Long but he saw a few people walk his way. Thinking they were leaving Ming Chen had ignored then, it turned out that they were in fact walking towards him. 

"Greeting Mr Ming, it's a pleasure meeting you", the man in front said and he bowed to Ming Chen. People in the building all looked shocked and were whispering to each other. Ming Chen felt awkward.

"Thank you, but no need to be so formal", Ming Chen said trying to relax himself. The man in front didn't seem to feel Ming Chen uneasiness.

"Mr He has told me to bring you up to his office. He is currently in a meeting and it might be a while before he can get back to you", the man told him. Ming Chen guessed that his man might be He Long's personal secretary. Ming Chen thanked him and follow the man into the elevator. It was a different one than the others, it had only one button and it was for the top floor.

"This is Mr He's personal elevator, only limited number of people are allowed to use it. Mr He had given Mr Ming full permission to use this when ever he comes to visit", the man explained. Ming thanked him. The ride up to He Long's office was silent, Ming Chen felt awkward but the other man didn't seem to be effected. 

Once they reached He Long's office, the man helped Ming Chen settle in and served him some tea, and excused himself as he had some work that he needed to finish. Ming Chen really settled himself into the office. He had every right Ming Chen thought to himself. This office was his husbands office and what ever is his husbands is his. 

Ming Chen waited for over an hour and was starting to fall asleep, that was until he felt someone touch his cheeks. He opened his eyes and saw that it was He Long, who was looking at him with love and adoration.
