Thane served Brooke, and then himself, while she in turn poured them both a glass of wine each to go with the meal.
"Cheers!" They brought their glasses together and made a toast, beaming with smiles. Brooke sipped from her glass, while stealing glances at Thane, who had his sleeves rolled up to his elbows.
'How does someone look sexy while drinking wine?' she mused to herself, ogling over him.
She dropped the glass and picked up a spoon, she stared at the high table and realized something.
'So far, he's taken me to places I don't need to move a lot.' she thought, considering how considerate he was being, by trying to make her have a good time without stressing over her leg.
'He's a good man. The woman who marries him will be lucky.' At that thought, Thane's proposal played on her mind, and it made her cheeks flush.
