A Bitter Serving Table

*Grayson Estate*

Matthew frowned when he noticed his name plaque placed next to Desmond's on the dining table. He looked around at the shuffling and noticed that both seats next to his grandfather were left vacant.

Something he found odd.

"Watch it!" Desmond hollered, as he bumped shoulders with Matthew, to advance to the table. They were the first ones to arrive, aside Mallory, who sat on Matthew's left hand side.

Matthew groaned at the thought of sitting in between the two people he hated the most.

"Ugh." Desmond groaned picking up a fork, he pointed it at Matthew and went on, "I don't understand why grandmother had me sit next to the dirty blood of the family." He reached for Matthew's name plaque, but his cousin grabbed him by the wrist.

"If you hate the idea so much, take it up with grandmother. Or are you too afraid to do so?" He goaded.
