Ruby Golem (Part III)

"Transmute!"

Runa names one of her skill. She was on top of the Ruby Golem with both of her hand touching the ruby, the core of the golem. She already released her transmutation limiter but as expected it won't break easily.

She used her transmutation with an intention to break the core from inside. Even the first transmutation required a lot of magic, but she can't afford to stop here. So once again she named her skill,

"Transmute!"

GROOOAAAARRRR!!

(Seemed like attacking the core directly with my transmutation is effective.)

Runa thought so when she heard the golem raised its pained roar. So she kept on naming her skill,

"Transmute! Transmute! Transmute!"

This time, Runa transmuted the body of the golem and lock both of her feet to prevent herself from falling over. And the rest was like before, she used it to break the core. But the regeneration speed is way too fast that she needs to use it consecutively without giving the golem any lax to repair its core.

"Transmute! Transmute! Transmute!"

Groaaaaarrr!

The golem raised its roar and, a bar appeared in front of Runa. The bar said,

"Transmute! Transmute! Transmute!"

More! More! More!, Runa repeated it inside her mind as she kept on naming her skill. She kept on using the skill again and again and again and again and again and again until a bar appeared.

But the moment the bar appeared, she can feel her whole body start to went limp. The cause is magical exhaustion, she almost runs out of magic. But she kept on naming her skill.

"Transmute! Transmute! Transmute!"

Cracks can be seen on the core. Her consciousness started to drifts away but, she bit her lips to prevent that. And kept naming her skill,

"Transmute! Transmute! Transmute!"

The fights already turned to a speed fight. It was between Runa's transmutation speed, or the golem recovering speed.

(This is bad.)

Runa thought inside her head as she reached her limit. She cannot hold her conscious any longer due to magic exhaustion.

"Runa, drink this... this is the magic potion you asked for."

"..."

It was Shizuku who said it, it seemed like the Ruby Golem is busy with the fight with Runa that the golem ignored that its movement's restricted. The golem focused itself on recovering.

But, Runa doesn't respond to Shizuku who's next to her. She kept on naming her skill without stopping. Runa's already immersed by the fight against the golem, that she doesn't notice that Shizuku is next to her with some magic potion.

Thinking it was useless, Shizuku closed her eyes trying to gather determination. The moment she opened both of her eyes, she drank most of the magic potions. Then, with a blushing face she,

"...."

Runa can feel a soft and warm sensation touching her lips. Next, something warm's invading inside her mouth and she can feel a fluid flowing into her mouth. The liquid has a sweet and fresh flavor on it, it tastes like a sports drink. Runa gulped all the liquid that's flowing inside her mouth and feel her magic power's refilled.

The thing before Arata and Yamato made the two opened their eyes wide in bewilderment. As for Runa, she ignored the sensation on her lips, she kept on using her skill without wasting any time.

"Transmute! Transmute! Transmute!"

GROOOAAARRR!!!

The cracks are widened as the golem raised its roar. Then, not that long another bar appeared as if trying to tell something,

But Runa doesn't have any lax to read the message on the bar, she kept on using her skill over and over, and faster than before. At this point, every time Runa cast transmutation her body let out a deep blue spark. Something inside her is growing.

"Transmute! Transmute! Transmute!"

Her body begins to went limp again because of magic exhaustion. But she kept on telling herself (A bit more,) as she named her skill.

"Transmute! Transmute! Transmute!"

The cracks kept on getting bigger every time Runa cast her transmutation. Crack, the cracking sound can be heard clearly inside the dungeon floors, the people around put their hand in front of their chest, praying for Runa victory.

"Transmute!"

The bar doesn't disappear. Instead, it changed the number,

Zrashhh! The core broke just like glass. Looking at the broken core, Runa undone the transmutation on her feet, then fell from the golem body. She fell asleep.

"Runa!"

Shizuku who's next to her catch Runa that is falling over from the body. She carried Runa's body and brings it down. Next, she lies the body down on the ground, and resting Runa head on her lap.

"Is there anyone that's capable of healing magic?"

Brian said it while he steps closer to Runa and Shizuku. And Vira, one of the magic guild girl raised her hand. Next, Vira walks to where Shizuku and Runa are and touched Runa's forehead. Vira closed her eyes for a while. When she opened her eyes.

"She fell asleep because of magic exhaustion, I think she'll wake up if you made her drink the magic potion."

Vira said it with a calm tone. Shizuku took one bottle of magic potion that left from the battle with Ruby golem. As expected she can't took all the magic potions she got from the Brian inside her mouth. Shizuku opened the lid and made Runa drank the potion.

After drank the potion, Runa slowly opened her eyelids. The first thing she saw was Shizuku's worried face.

"Good work."

"Yeah... I'm so worn out here."

Noticed that Runa is awake, everyone there is circling Runa with a blank face. No one able to comprehend their situation there. All of them is looking at Runa while wondering what just happen. Until Arata said it,

"Did we win?"

He said it while looking at the Ruby Golem corpse. And the one that answered him was Brian.

"It seemed so."

"Really?"

Their head at least comprehends what is happening. A smile is surging on their face as they feeling happy. Brian raised his sword upward and shout,

"We beat the Ruby Golem!"

They shout a victory cry inside the dungeon, some of them is looking at each other. Some of them is hugging each other in celebration, They beat the monster that killed the strongest man. The happiness from this fact's so big that they lost themselves for a while.

"It turned out to be fine right?"

"Yeah.."

Runa said it while looking at her surroundings that is celebrating their victory. While Shizuku kept on looking at Runa face with a smile and slightly blushing face.

"Seems like there's no need to call you Onee-sama."

Shizuku said it with her sweet smile. But Runa somewhat noticed it, (Isn't that smile a bit weird to show to a friend?) she shrugged herself while think it can't be helped. Without knowing Runa already stole her maiden heart.

"Well, I did my best to prevent that." Runa paused for a moment, she closed her eye and said, "To be honest I'd like a present for my victory."

"P-present?"

Shizuku said it with one of her hands touching her lips. The reaction made Runa wondering, and she recalls the things that happen between her fights against Ruby Golem.

Runa did not realize but, Shizuku kissed her to make Runa drink the magic potion. Recalling this made Runa eyes turned to a dot. (What on earth?) she thought inside her head.

The atmosphere around the two turned into a strange way, even some magic guild girl's 'Kyaaakyaaa'ing Runa and Shizuku. Maybe they adored the situation of two girls falling in each other.

As for Runa, she kept wondering (How the hell things turned to be like this?) she doesn't remember raising any flag with her, more like for Runa a girl fall for another girl is a strange thing. Not that Runa ever experienced love though.

"All right, everyone! Let us return to the kingdom, my men already clear the blocked path."

Brian said it while looking at the opened door. The way that's blocked by the lump of stone's already cleaned up, it was because Brian men clean the wall all the time when they're clashing the Ruby golem.

Hearing so, it made Runa get up from Shizuku's lap and tried to stand. And this made Shizuku somewhat displayed disappointed face "Aah," as she leaked out a weird voice.

"What are you doing? Let's go."

Runa stretched her hand to Shizuku while saying that. Shizuku grabbed Runa's hand and nodded.

"Un."

Shizuku's attitude is different toward Runa now. The person realized this, as she kept searching for the answer inside her head, (Why the hell things turned to be like this,) she kept on thinking until night.
