How can i level up?

It's been 2 weeks since i was stucked in this unfamiliar desert. I find it strange that during my travel i didn't find any living creature.

I feel hunger and dehydration and i haven't eaten nor drinken anything since the start of this run.

You might be thinking, why didn't i just kill myself to ressurect with full satiation?

1. my real body is the one hungry, even if i eat something in this game, it won't affect the real world.

2. the hunger and dehydration debuff has already reverseed by [Negative body].

{Hunger I}– Recover 100 stamina per second. Permanent.

{Thirst I}– Increase movement speed by 1%. Permanent.

3. one of the function of main character privilege is ressurecting upon natural death but there was a punishment [Cheater] that removes my main character privilege.

Although it's a bit boring walking aimlessly in this desert, my proficiency on my skills increased too. For example, during [Snake Form] i can cast [Dark Blast] from my mouth while moving at high speed.

While adjusting to my skills, i smelled something that shouldn't exist in the middle of the desert.

The smell of burnt flesh.

Looking at the sky, i find the source of the smoke i smelled in the west and should be not far away.

Activating my [Snake Form] to double my speed, i rush to find what was happening.

"Is this the remaining knights? Why so few of you survive?" As i look at the 20 or so bloodied knights, i can't do anything but be upset. Before this shit happened there are more than hundreds of knights stationed in this town but now there was just more than dozen of them left.

"We were ambushed captain... they were fast and hard to kill especially..." A knight said while looking at the blood in his hands.

"I know... but it's part of your duty to protect yourself and you do the right thing."

I grimaced aslook at the burning houses around us. This town was a busy and happy place just yesterday, but now.. it was an abandoned town.

In just mere hours, those monsters turned the locals into monsters, infecting or eating them.

I was just powerless in front of them... Lisa, my friend, i couldn't save her.

"Listen. There were a total of 9 survivors of this town, 2 of which are children. We must evacuate outside of this town as silently as possible."

"Those monsters are atleast twice as stong and fast as regular knight. They have a strong sense of smell and hearing."

"If you encounter one of those monsters alone, you die! the best way is to don't make any noise and turn around or fight them with in numbers."

"I already found an exit and it's in the east of the town. A 20 minutes of walking and you will find a thick wall. There was a small hole under that can only fit 1 person each time."

"Each team can only make are consisted of 2 knights and a civilian. The reason in small team because moving together in large groups are too risky and dangerous."

After the discussion, the first team departed with a quick preparation. After 20 minutes, the second team also departed. This may be take a long time considering our situation now but it's our last hope of survival.

It took me almost half an hour to reach this town. If it weren't for those burnt houses i would assume this is a abandoned town.

At the main entrance, there was countless armor pieces and swords lying around. The strange thing is there are traces of battle here but there's are no blood around.

Arming myself with the sword on the ground, i decided to enter the village to know what happened and maybe level up if a threat comes.

Walking to the center of the town, there was a bell on top of a well i decided to slap it with a sword to attract attention then hiding in the nearest house.

Entering the house, i smell some nasty odor of rotten meat. Declining the urge to explore the house and decided to stay at the front door may be my best choice since i know this kind of trope.

Moments later, i heard an aggressive roar of dog and a shadow appears slowly at the edge of hall. Firing a [Dark Blast] as a warning shot, the dog shows himself this time. And i must say, that dog look nothing like a dog at all.

"Holy shit! what the is that thing!?"

That creature are 3 times bigger than a normal dog, the body shape are uneven and there was a bloody human hands and feet dangling at the like a tentacles, the color palettes are mess, and some iron pieces are attached to its skin.

I throwed the sword at the monster then it's status showed.

Looking at the thousands of Dreads gathered outside of the house and began to tear it apart. I panicked a little at those monsters because of the sheer number of them can deplete my health fast. Even if i can kill them in one shot, [Dark Blast] is only a single target skill and it may take ages to kill them all.

Jumping at the window at the back of the house, i turned into a snake and flee the area. I might be able to escape if only those Dreads are not so freaking fast!

They might catch up to me in seconds, so i began spamming [Dark Blast] at those monsters using my mouth.

Just as before they can latch at me, they stopped chasing me and I received a system notification I've never seen before.
