Later that night, Nathan lay down on the bed in the new room where he was staying in a different hotel.

A while ago he had communicated with his superiors and had been given new orders.

Staying at the Front Palace Hotel would only arouse suspicion, so Nathan had to abandon his mission to keep an eye on Enarys, even though he thought it would no longer be necessary.

With such an attack against her, the security at her side would surely be greatly increased, so she would probably no longer be in any danger.

Right now Nathan only had to wait for the day of the mission he had read about in the guild of mercenaries. The approach to the castle was annoying, but there was not much he could do.

Yawning, Nathan stretched out on the bed and began to feed Amelia. In the meantime, he turned on the television and switched on the news.

Clearly, all the news programs were talking about the same thing, about the big explosion that had covered the sky with a black cloud.

According to what Nathan heard, the explosion was taken as a terrorist attack against Enarys. The motives were unknown, or they simply did not want it to be known.

Either way, Nathan had already left the place quickly and hidden most of his tracks, now he could only rely on Enarys to do her part and help him.

A couple of minutes later, Nathan turned off the TV and stared at the ceiling while Amelia continued to drain his essence.

'Those men... Who were they?'

Nathan remembered the men posing as the cleaning staff, but no matter how much he thought about it he couldn't come up with an answer to their identity.

They couldn't be from the government, and neither could they be from Khan, since they would have told him, and Nathan had sensed something strange about them. Or rather, he had not been able to sense it.

Both men, he could never sense a hint of essence from them but judging by the movements of the man who tried to attack him, they were definitely not normal humans.

'Can that be accomplished without essence?'

Nathan knew that as someone moved up in ranks, their body became more refined and stronger, but these men were too weak to be second rank or higher.

'Mercenaries...?'

Nathan kept trying to search for an answer but finally gave up and letting Amelia finish eating her essence, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

A couple of hours after the attack, Enarys was sitting in a luxurious room inside a large mansion in the center of the city.

Her several guards stood behind her in complete silence as she elegantly took a sip from her cup of tea.

In front of her, a young man with black hair and green eyes watched her silently.

"Lady Enarys, I'm deeply sorry for what happened"

Enarys lowered the cup and placed it gently on the table.

"Don't worry, Mr. Noah. That was something no one could have anticipated, fortunately there were no injuries"

Noah nodded his head slightly but still maintained a somewhat embarrassed expression.

"Thank you very much Lady Enarys, from now on we will spare no expense in ensuring your safety during your stay in Radford City"

Enarys nodded slightly and took another sip of her tea.

'My lady, the person in front of us has the same face as the man who saved you and hid his face behind a skin mask'

Enarys opened her eyes in surprise, choked on her tea and began to cough loudly.

Noah was surprised and quickly passed her a handkerchief.

"Are you all right, Lady Enarys?"

Enarys took a couple of seconds to calm her cough and respectfully accept Noah's handkerchief before gently wiping her mouth.

'Are you sure?' Enarys asked Lux.

Lux replied with some hesitation.

'Yes, but they are not the same person... a sibling most likely'

Enarys finished wiping her mouth and looked at Noah.

"Don't worry, I'm fine. Thank you for your concern"

Noah nodded his head.

"No problem"

Enarys took a breath and looked at the handkerchief in his hands.

"Can I ask you a question?"

Noah was slightly surprised and nodded again.

"Sure"

Before asking, Enarys remembered the young man who had saved her life. Then she looked at Noah and didn't hesitate to speak.

"Do you happen to have a brother?"

Noah's expression quickly changed to an ugly and somewhat annoyed expression. Seeing his sudden change, Enarys realized he had asked something he shouldn't have asked and quickly apologized.

"I'm sorry if my question came to importune you"

Noah stood quietly looking at her and then sighed relaxing his facial muscles and returning to a calm expression.

"Don't worry, it's just... you surprised me"

Noah leaned his back slightly on the couch and looked at the ceiling as if he was remembering the past.

"I had a brother... Nathan Aeterna, but he died 8 years ago"

Enarys was silent and didn't change his expression.

'Nathan Aeterna... I see'

"I'm sorry if I can't say more... it's just that it's a forbidden subject within our family"

Enarys shook her head.

"Don't worry... it was my fault for asking"

For a while longer, Enarys and Noah continue to chat until Noah said goodbye and left the room, leaving Enarys alone with her guards.

'Aren't you going to say anything to him, my lady?'

Enarys crossed her fingers and closed her eyes in silence.

'Not for now...'

A faint amused and somewhat disturbing smile appeared on Enarys' face before she laughed quietly.
