Lillian knew of what her partner said earlier about the thing on the ground floor, also from what she heard on the radio and she wasn't about to say all of this to them.

(" I'll find Ari first and regroup and see what the outside captain will do now") Lillian thought to herself as she peeks outside the door, she motions for the officer to go and then the janitor with the help from the younger Male from earlier. She took the back while the janitor led the way with the officer, she knew they'd meet up with her partner sooner by the janitor leading the way.

" we are heading to the east wing stair well right" Lillian said the janitor slows down and two girls turn to look at her.

" we actually got separated from the rest of our group earlier" the girl with short hair said while nervously glancing towards the janitors back.

" do you two remember the way back" Lillian asked while glancing behind her and toward the front, the girl with the longer hair points to a door that the officer and janitor passed while going straight toward the last door. Lillian walks up to the door the girls pointed at and peered inside she sees a large room filled with shelves.

" I'll clear this room, if you want to come then follow, if not wait or move ahead I'll catch up" Lillian said while looking at the two girls who quickly went to her side, two young men followed suit as well.

The soldier stops rubbing his temple, the janitor grabs his forearm and shakes his head no.

" we'll leave marks for you to follow us" the janitor said pulling out a marker from his pants, Lillian nodded her head and the girls had two batons on them as they nodded their heads.

" stay close if you see or hear anything let me know and do not run off" Lillian said while they quickly made their way around a few shelves, they traveled through a maze of shelves and Lillians radio squaked. She stops and turns the volume up. A mans voice came across the radio, you could tell he was scared and in alot of pain.

" if your listening to this, certain ones who get injured by these creatures will turn cannibalistic and they do not go down unless the brain is pierced" the man said with a shaky voice, a gunshot was heard after a couple of minutes and it went silent again.

Lillian radioed to the captain outside, but got nothing but radio silence and a noise from a few shelves over caught her attention while she seen a blonde hair through the shelf.

Lillian picks up the pace jogging around a few shelves, then spots seven people.

" Lillian what are you doing in here" Ari said while the two groups move together, there girls run up to Sia hugging her tightly.

" Jennifer, Beth why did you run off, you cant do that" Sia said.

The two men stood a few feet away from them with their eyes on the beautiful blonde with the ocean blue eyes, Ari felt her blood boil watching these men look at Len with lust in their eyes.

Ari grabs her hand pulling her closer to her, snaking her arm around her waist and Lens face took on a pink hue. Her hand gently moves up to Aris hand, she gently holds her hand there and takes small glances at her.

" ok the other group is moving toward the west stair well to move up to the ground floor, we could try for the door I entered or try the ground floor. Looks of fear crossed the women faces, remembering the girl who was pulled through a small space of metal by the giant clawed hand.

" what did you run into on your way in here" Ari asked while taking the shotgun from Lillian and stuffing shells and extra mags in her jacket. Lillian pulled out two .38 snub nose revolvers and hands one to Len and then one to Sia, She hands them both boxes of shells. She handed Ashley a large Bowie knife and then hands Ari a .45 over with a box of shells.

Len takes the bag from Lillian and Ari empties shells out into her pocket handing the box over to Len. The two men who happen to be workers in the hospital sneered at the women, while one steps forward.

" wait you can't give the patients weapons and were men so it makes more sense for us to carry guns" the man said stepping closer to Len, he grabs her wrist and pulls her close to him. He runs his groin against her leg while a smirk was on his face, Ari stepped closer ready to put the man on his ass.

" don't touch me " Len said while hiting the man across the nose with the gun, he stumbles back holding his nose while blood drops down his chin.

" you crazy bitch !!!" he screamed while the other man jerks him up by his collar and a screech echoed in the room. The man pushes the other away from him while staring daggers at him.

Lillian looked up to the top of the shelves, then puts the shotgun strap around her neck and climbs up.

Some of the girls support the shelf, while the ones with the guns keep their eyes peeled in different directions. Lillian couldn't see anything from the way they came, but in the opposite direction a couple shelves were shaking.

" I don't see movement the way we came, but some shelves were shaking the way you came" Lillian said while the group started moving back the way Lillian came. They get a few feet from the door, the man with the broken nose and glaring at Len and When they move toward the door.

" let me check " Lillian said as she slowly opened the door and looked both ways flicking her light, she saw another light down toward the stairs well the others took but ignored it for now.

Lillian looks each way before entering and when the coast is clear she motions for the others to follow her out motioning with her finger over her lips.

" listen do not fire the guns unless you absolutely have too, we might be calling a few of them instead of just the one were up against " Ari said to the girls with guns, they nod their heads then enter through the door. Len, Ari and the two men are left to go through last.

" Let's move" Len said while one already went through, the one with the broken nose stands there staring at the two women.

" I guess you don't like men, that's the reason you got mad huh Fucking Dy-" the man was saying when a human centipede reaches down and pulls him up to it, several arms grab different parts of the mans body and positions him quickly to its center where a big gaping mouth is located with several rolls of teeth.

" shoot it help" the man was screaming while the others ran to the door, Ari holds her hand up to prevent any one from shooting. A long tongue comes out from its mouth, small black teeth are on the end of the tongue. When it wraps around the mans stomach, blood pours from him dripping to the floor and suddenly it bends him into, where his legs were now laying against his back.

Lillian noticed the crunching sound coming from the creature, Lillian pulled on Len and Ari quickly shutting the door.

" I'm on lead Ari you cover the back Lillian said while they quickly move toward the exit, when they see the door they all ran toward it.

" my car is there, pile in even on laps if you must" Lillian said while glancing around, she sees fires lit in surrounding buildings and nearby cars. Ari walks over to the armored police vehicle, the keys are still inside and Lillian opens the back hatch looking around seeing most of the equipment still inside.

" everyone inside now move" Lillian said while looking at Len, the girl had a look on her face as if she was about to flee. Len darts around Lillian, she manages to get around Lillian and darts to the passenger seat of the armored car. Lillian thought the girl was about to run off on her own but it seems like she wants to be close by Ari.

" this girl I tell you what" Lillian said while looking back to the basement door, her thoughts run to the group with the officer.

" wait I was with another group who went inside the other stair well, I'll leave a note on my car with a radio " Lillian said going out placing the note on a nearby cruiser with a 9mm and a box of shells then gets back into the armor car.

" move your ass Lillian" Ari said

Lillian closes the back hatch and hits the inside of the vehicle to signal Ari to move. When they pass the front of the hospital, the police cars are overturned, doors ripped off and the windows covered in blood. Len looks over to see a car she recognizes and holds her hand up for Ari to stop.

" wait that's my moms car" Len shouts, Lillian moves toward the front of the cab and shows Len pictures of her mom leaving with the doctor. Len sighs with relief. Ari reaches over to hold her hand and Lillian smiles at her best friend and seen how Len blushes with Ari.

(" they really like each other") Lillian thought to herself while looking out in the street of bodies laying ripped apart and alot of the buildings on fire. They pass a old lady who is walking naked, when they pass her and look back at the woman stomach was completely gone and had no organs left inside of her empty womb.

" what is happening to them and where did these things come from" Len said while staring out the window, Lillian points to a road up ahead.

" Evelyn is waiting at the house, we should be well protected inside. My girlfriend is kinda a dooms day prepper" Lillian said while nervously playing with her fingers, she was worried that Evelyn went looking for them.

" she already picked both our families up, I'm sure she knows that we can handle ourselves" Ari said while they take a dirt road that's hidden from the main road, about forty minutes they arrive at a large iron fenced in place.

Ari puts a code in and the gate opens they drive through while waiting for the gate to close. Sparks shoot across the 3 meter tall fence, they drive ahead until a large brick building with barred windows comes into view. Flood lights come on and a large metal garage door raises up, they drive through and park the car.
