"Sil, it's eight in the morning," Amber said before snoozing the alarm.

"We still have one hour." Silvia groaned before covering herself with the quilt

"I snoozed alarm for ten minutes," Amber said before closing her eyes

"We don't need an alarm babe," Silvia said before turning off the alarm

9:30 AM

"Why alarm didn't ring? Didn't ten minutes not over?" Amber thought before causally looking at the phone

She frowned when she looked at the time.

"Silvia," Amber shouted

"Amber, what happens? Did you have a bad dream?" Silvia inquired when she looked at Amber's red face

"Did you turn off the alarm?" Amber asked

"Yeah, I can get up in ten minutes-"

"And when did you get up?" Amber frowned

"It's just five minutes-" Silvia stopped saying and frowned when she looked at the watch

"Ahh Sil, do you want me to die?' Amber frowned

"I told you that my department has an important meeting with the big boss at 10 Am and now it's-"

"Babe, calm down okay? We still have half an hour." Silvia sighed and said

"I am going to take a quick shower—"

"Are you kidding me, Amber? You gonna take shower at this time, just change the clothes." Silvia said while removing her pajamas'.

"I will kill you if the boss fires me today," Amber said while wearing black jeans

"Babe, I will talk to your boss-"

"Seriously Silvia, he is dangerous. No one can handle his anger." Amber said

"Anyway, pass me that straightener."

"Just ponytail your hair. You look amazing." Silvia said while combing her hair

"Ahhh, I had many plans today. I even looked at tutorials on youtube for no makeup look but you spoiled everything." Amber frowned

"Yeah, I am ready," Silvia said

"I will book the cab," Silvia said walking towards the living area

"Babe, the cab is on the way. Come fast." Silvia said while applying her favorite cranberry-flavored lipstick.

"Am I looking good?" Amber asked

"You are amazing babe. Just be confident while giving the presentation." Amber encouraged her

Finance department

"Where is she? Did you call her?" A young man in his mid-twenties yelled at his team

"I called her twice-"

"Did she answer?"

When the employee shook his head, A young man frowned "I am gonna fire her today."

"It's ten and we have a meeting within fifteen minutes but the girl who has to represent the meeting is nowhere to see." The young man shouted

"Boss, she is on the way. She just messaged me." One employee said while showing him the message

"If she didn't reach here within the time-"

"Boss, Amber is here." One employee exclaimed

"I am sorry boss-"

"Isn't she Silvia Simmons?" The young man asked

Looking at Silvia, Amber said, "Yes boss, she is my best friend Silvia."

"I am sorry sir-'

"I am Noah Wilson. You can call me Noah." The young man smiled and said

"Yeah Noah, it's my mistake. I turned off the alarm." Silvia sighed and said

"It's okay Silvia, we still have five minutes for the meeting." Noah smiled and said

"Oh my god, my boss can smile too." Amber thought

"Thank you, Noah," Silvia said

"All the best babe," Silvia said before hugging her best friend

"Thanks." Amber smiled

"Isn't he the same boss whom we know?" One employee asked

"I am wondering too."

"Ms. Miller, is everything ready?" Noah asked

"Yes, boss. Would you like to check the final presentation?" Amber asked while opening her laptop

"Yeah please," Noah said

Reception

"Place the chair properly."

"Look at the mat, it is dusty." Jacob frowned

"Sweep the floor neatly," Jacob instructed the maid.

"What is happening here?" Silvia asked the receptionist

"Bigg boss is coming for the meeting." Receptionist said

"Is your big boss strict?" Silvia asked looking at the preparations going on.

"Yeah, he is very particular about things and when he finds anything wrong, he just fires within seconds." The receptionist sighed and said

"Oh god, I am already feeling pity for you," Silvia said

"Mam, are you here for a meeting?" Receptionist asked

"Ahh, I just came to drop my friend." Silvia smiled

"Okay, please have some cookies. These are complementary for visitors." The receptionist said while giving her a box

"Thank you so much." Silvia excitedly said

"Where is the exit?" Silvia asked looking around

"Mam, it's on the left side." The receptionist said pointing toward the route

"Oh, thanks," Silvia said before walking towards the exit

"Boss is here," Jacob shouted altering the employees

"Good morning boss." Jacob greeted Kevin Wilson

"Morning Jacob, is everything ready for the meeting?" Kevin asked walking towards the elevator

"Yes boss, the young boss is taking care of it," Jacob said

Meeting room

"All the best Amber." One of the employees said

"Thanks. Is our big boss strict? I mean it's my first meeting—"

"I think strict will be a very small letter for him." The other employee sighed and said

"You know, the big boss fired an employee just because he forget to greet him before the presentation." She added

"I am already nervous." Amber crossed her hands and said

"Don't worry Amber. Just be confident about your presentation." The first employee encouraged her

"Boss is here," Jacob said before opening the door

Everyone stood up from their seats and greeted Kevin Wilson.

"I have half an hour and I want you to finish the presentation within the time," Kevin said before sitting on his seat

Amber widened her eyes when she heard that. It is a two-hour presentation; how can she finish it in half an hour?

"Oh my god, she is already nervous, how can she handle it?" The employee commented

"Where is Noah-" Kevin stopped asking when he looked at Noah entering the room.

"Ms. Miller, please start the presentation," Noah said

"Boss—" Amber didn't say anything and looked at Big boss

"What happen Ms miller?" Noah calmly asked

"Make it fast," Kevin ordered

Growing up with Kevin since childhood and looking at Amber's nervousness, Noah guessed what might happened. He knew Kevin might scare her with his time.

"Don't worry, I will take care of it." Noah calmed her and walked towards Kevin.

"Kev, do you know who she is?" Noah asked

Looking at Amber, Kevin said "I have seen her but-"

"She is Silvia's best friend," Noah murmured

"What? How did you know?" Kevin asked while continuously looking at Amber
