WAIVER

JAESUNG

It's Friday now and I am still not going home. I haven't told my mom the good news yet. I've been spending days here at Jae Yon's house. My parents know where am I because Jae Yon's mother called my mom and they had a conversation over the phone. For sure, my mom told her what happened.

I told Jae Yon's mother not to say about our audition to my mom yet. I want to be the one who will tell her personally.

"What's your plan?" Jae Yon suddenly asked me while we are looking at his room's ceiling.

"I don't know" I answered sparingly.

"Your dad will be going to be proud of you. I am sure about that." He convinced me.

"I don't care about him anymore. I am sick of his pressure and expectations of me. I want to do my passion and I want to be free" I answered him. We are currently lying on his bed when he turned around to face me and he pull me so I could face him.

As of the moment, he's looking into my eyes. He suddenly put his hand on my face and began speaking again.

"Your dad will be leaving tomorrow. Just talk to him before he left. Do it for me, could you?" He requested and pout.

I sighed before speaking. "Jae Yon, you know me. If I don't want, I will not do it"

"Do you want him to leave with resentment in your chest?"

"I am a bomb who just exploded. The damages are still here and I hope you can understand my situation" I spoke and pointed my heart.

"All right. I apologize for being stubborn. However, we need to pass the waiver tomorrow at the company. Can you please inform your mom about it so she can sign it for the consent form?"

"At this hour?" and he nodded.

"Fine. I think she's still not asleep. Let's go and be quick" I stand up and put on my hoodie. We slowly got downstairs and when we reached the door, we go out quickly.

"Do you think my mom will be proud of me with this news?" I suddenly asked Jeno while looking at the street lights.

"Of course! That's your mom's want for you. Our mothers know what's the best for their child." He answered.

"How did you say that?" I questioned.

"Well, I don't know as well. But they have an instinct that can detect our personality" he responded. Later on, we fully reached our house and with good timing, my mom is outside to dispose of our garbage.

"Mom!" I whispered and she immediately look in my direction. I waved at her and tell her to come in our direction.

"Jaesung! Are you going home now? Your dad is worried about you" She exclaimed.

"I'm sorry mom. I will not go unless Dad isn't there anymore."

"So, you're not going to show yourself to him before he left?" and I nodded at her.

"You'll be able to meet him again 5 years from now. He has a contract in Spain and won't be able to come home annually."

"I am not ready to see him yet. Please forgive me, mom. I am really hurt about what he said and did to me. I am tired of being a robot who always follows his commands."

"We've already talked about it and he's regretting it somehow. Please come home, our Jaesung" she said and her eyes become teary.

"I am sorry mom. I need to breathe for now. To not make you cry, I have good news for you" I get a paper inside of my pocket and give it to her.

"Jae Yon and I undergo of audition in LC Entertainment. We passed and were chosen by their CEO. Could you please sign the waiver so we can start training as soon as possible?" While she's reading the paper, a wide smile appeared on her face and she immediately hug me.

"Congrats, my son! You deserved this!!!" she said while crying. I rubbed her back and left our embrace.

"Thank you, mom, for always being a supportive parent that dad can't give."

"He'll definitely be happy with thi---" I didn't let her finish what she was supposed to say when I cut her.

"Please don't tell dad about this. I am just a trainee as of now and not an idol. We will undergo hardcore training before they will debut us." I said it to my mom while looking at her eyes. She rubbed my hair.

"Where's your pen?" a smile appeared on my face and instantly get a pen in my pocket and gave it to her. She signed the contract and parent consent form.

"Thank you, mom! I will update you on what will happen."

"Do your best to make your dad proud" she said while smiling. I can sense a dramatic sensation so I goodbye to her with a hug.

"Jae Yon, keep my Jaesung safe always, okay?" Mom asked Jae Yon.

"Of course! I am always protecting him no matter what." He responded and we finally left our place before my dad gets out.

THE NEXT DAY

After we gave the contract and consent form to the company, they oriented us about the place we're going to move to. They also said that we are lucky since the total applicants reached 20,000 people and they only picked 100 trainees.

According to our contract, we won't be able to get exposed to the public and require us to live in the dorm they've provided for us. We will allow going home once a month.

Regarding our schooling, we need to discontinue our studies in school and undergo homeschooling. It's their expense so it's okay with me but for Jae Yon, it's not as he will miss going to school every morning.

We have private services for transportation since we aren't able to be seen in public. Also, we should not have social media accounts to keep our identity private.

Lastly, I got frightened about the training hours per day. We need to be trained 16 hours per day for vocals, dancing, and homeschooling. We also need to learn other languages such as Chinese, Japanese, and English.

Our rest day is only Saturday afternoon and the whole day of Sunday. We haven't started yet but I can feel the exhaustion.

I am currently in our house to get important stuff of mine. My dad already left the past days without seeing him.

My mom is kind of sad about the company's policy. Since I am an only child, she will be the one who will be left in our house. I don't want to leave her alone but we don't have a choice though.

"You must always eat there. Don't let yourself starve in hunger. Okay? Always send me a message about what's happening to you. I will worry once I haven't received any message from you every day."

"Yes, mom I will not forget to do that…"

"I will miss you," she said and hugged me tightly.

"Sorry, mom that I need to do this" she left our embrace and squat to reach my level.

"You don't have to apologize if you're reaching your dreams. We let you live in this world not be our retirement plan but to experience how to live happily. You've grown enough and you can now make decisions for yourself. We're just here to guide you if it's right or wrong. Always remember that, okay? I and your dad loves you so much." She said that makes my tears fall off my eyes.

Later on, I heard a horn outside and it's the sign that the service is here. "I think I need to go now, Mom. I love you always!" I said and hugged her tightly again.

After that, I left the hug and get out of the house without looking at her anymore. I might get emotional once I saw her expression.

The staff opened the van's door for me and I get inside of it. I am the only one inside that makes me cry harder because will be separated from my mother…
