TRAINING OF TRAINEES

JAESUNG

After months of being a trainee, our lives became different. The difficulties we faced every day are not that tolerable. Even if we're still a trainee, we shouldn't get exposed to the public. We are also prohibited to use our social media accounts. The amount of time we need to give in terms of training in dance, vocal lessons and also studying a basic foreign language.

"Jaesung! I am sick of this company building. When we can get out of this building?" Jae Yon looked with an unsatisfied reaction on his face.

"I don't know either. I also want to hang out publicly." I answered,

"What is our schedule for today?" He asked. I look at the ceiling of the practice room thinking about our schedule.

"As far as I know, we have dance practice later on and right after that, English lessons"

"What if we should get going first while waiting for that time to come?" I looked at him with a wide gaze.

"Are you serious about that? The staff might catch us?" I asked hesitantly.

"We will be caught if we let them."

"The trainer will look for us…" I am having a different feeling about his plan. This will bring us in danger.

"Our practice will start later on. We will wander for just a short time so why you are worrying?" Jeez. I don't have any reason to decline his offer. It's up to us if we get caught. Maybe we should face our consequences if ever? Besides, this is the first in months that we will be able to wander around the city.

"Fine. Let's go. We must be quick though." He puts his arms on my neck and we began walking.

"We should pass through the fire exit so no one can see us. You know the terms we signed last month, right?" and he nodded at me.

While we are walking, a staff is passing by in our direction and we immediately hid on the wall.

"What the heck. We're almost in danger" I whispered.

"Sssh! Don't worry. She won't be able to catch us." Jae Yon answered and he smile at me which makes my heart flutter. The genuine smile that could melt every girl's heart.

The staff was already gone and we began walking to the fire exit's door. Jae Yon opened the door and he holds my hand tightly while we are heading down the stairs.

After a while, we have finally reached the ground level of the fire exit. We get out of it and a bright sun welcomed us.

"Ahh! I missed the warmth of the sun that touches our skin" I looked at him and his eyes were closed sensing the sun.

"Where do you want to go?" He asked me.

"Of course, to the place where no one could catch us"

"You know what, I don't know why the trainees are prohibited to go out. We don't have any image yet so what's with them?"

"Because for the plan purposes. The company doesn't want us to get exposed to the public because they might bother us"

"You have point though" He replied.

"I know a place that is near yet doesn't have many people around." He suggested as if there's a bulb above his head.

"Where?"

"Then come on with me" he holds my hand again while we are running to the destination of the place he's been talking about.

"This place is so good!" I reacted once I see the place. The place has a river and there are benches you can sit. You can watch the sunset here as well.

"Yeah. I really love this. The scenery and the ambiance." He murmured.

"How do you know this place?"

"Well, I used to be here when I need to breathe. If I need to recharge or maybe to relax." I don't know that he's going here. He's an introverted person and full of secrets and mysteries. We know each other since our childhood days and even before, it's hard to read what's on his mind.

"What do you want? I will treat you" I came back to reality when he asked me. I bring back my gaze to the place and there are lots of stalls that offer different foods.

"I like Tteokbokki" I answered while smiling. He bought two cups of tteokbokki for us and 2 sticks of odeng or fish cake. We sit on a bench near the river and we began eating.

"I missed our bond like this." I began the conversation. He looked at me smilingly and touches the side of my lips which makes my heart beats aggressively.

"There's a dirt though" and he smirked.

"Yeah, I missed this. Hopefully, we can stuff like things more often" he replied.

While we are watching the sunset, a cold breeze of air began that makes my body shakes. Jae Yon stand up and removed his jacket and wear it to me.

"Next time, you should wear thick clothes like that. Have you already forgotten that you're living in South Korea? One of the coldest countries here in the world?" He asked jokingly which makes me laugh.

"I forgot to wear my jacket since you pulled my hand" and I rolled my eyes against him.

"Jae Yon…"

"Hmm?" He replied while still eating his food.

"You know what, I am scared that my efforts will be wasted. You know what happened between my dad and me. The disgrace I gave to my family is too much and I don't want them to be disappointed in me anymore. I want them to be proud and appreciate my hard work." I told him in a sad and low voice. I can see pity in his eyes the reason I looked in the other direction or else I will burst to cry.

"You know what, if other people don't value your efforts and hard work, there is a person who believes in you and it's me. I am proud of what you have accomplished. You can rely on me that I will be forever on your side." Words that came from him melted my heart and my tears began to fall.

He touches my face and wipes my tears. "We will debut no matter what. All we need is patience. You will make your family proud." And he hugged me tightly. While I am crying on his shoulder, he's patting my back.

Later on, after I released all those thoughts in my head, we have finally decided to go back to the company when two stranger boys approached.

"Are you guys' trainees of LC Entertainment?" The guy asked. I looked at them and it seems like we were the same ages.

"W-what are you talking about? We're not" I answered in a stutter.

"I don't believe you. It seems like you are trainees" I looked at Jae Yon and I know he can sense that I am scared now. The trouble we're avoiding finally came.

"Talk to my ass" Jae Yon holds my hand again and we began to run away from the strangers.

"Jaesung, run quickly!" Jae Yon told me and I tried making my run fast because the strangers are following us. What the heck. What did they want from us?

After a couple of minutes, we lost them and finally came back to the building of our company. We saw media in front of the building so we decided to enter the fire exit again. Luckily, the fire exit is still open.

We have finally reached the training room where our trainer is already there.

"Where have you been, Jae Yon and Jaesung?" He asked us. I am having difficulty speaking because we're still chasing our breaths due to the run we did earlier.

"Nothing," Jae Yon answered sparingly.

"Then why are you guys sweaty and catching breath?"

"We just played downstairs. Sorry for being late." Jae Yon replied and we sit down in our seats.

We're almost in trouble. I hope they did not catch our faces or else, we're in danger…
