PREPARATION FOR DEBUT

"LC Entertainment, Seoul's biggest K-pop Entertainment is debuting a new boy group this month. According to the rumors, the new group will consist of 7 members. The name and concept of the group haven't been announced yet. Let's wait for the announcement of LC Entertainment." As I heard the news, I am getting more nervous. Imagine being the topic of news around the world. A lot of people are looking forward to our group and I am afraid to disappoint them.

"It feels like we're in the hot spot where people and fans are waiting for us to debut." Hae In said.

"Yeah. I don't know what will be their reaction to us" Mark responded to him.

We're currently here in the meeting where we will meet the Executive Producer of LC Entertainment. We will meet our manager who will handle us. The agenda for today is giving us our stage names, discussion of our concepts, and giving us the position in our group.

They will also tackle when will be the recording of our first album start. After that, pictorial for the teasers and we're all set.

After a few minutes, the manager gets inside the conference room with other staff. Before they were seated, they had handshakes with each member of the group.

"Congratulations everyone! You're about to debut now. By the way, I am Mr. Jay and I'll be your manager." He introduced himself.

"Since I know all of you, you may take your seats now." And we followed what he said.

"I used to handle several groups from LC Entertainment. I don't know why does the company always transferring me to another group after several years but that's okay though. I can't say that I will be your manager forever since the company is still the one who decides but for now, let's enjoy this moment. Learn from me and I will also learn from each of you. So, let's start this meeting now. First of all, let's discuss the stage names we've prepared for everyone. For Mr. Min Hyuck, the name we have to think about is Mark. Are you half-blooded right?"

"Yes. I was born and raised in Canada" Min Hyuck replied.

"Great. Next one, Len Ji. We chose Lex for you. Is that would be okay with you?"

"Lex. What a great stage name. Short but almost similar to my real name." Len Ji reacted.

"For Hae In, you're now Harvey Lee."

"Harvey? What a nice name for a nice person like me" he answered which makes us all laugh.

"For Jaeyon, we want you to be Jayden. Almost similar to your Korean name though." I got shocked when I heard what our manager said.

"Jayden? Nice!" and I applaud.

"For Jaesung, you will use the name James" I looked at Jaesung while smiling.

"It seems like I am a basketball player though! I love the name! It sounds powerful."

"For Jin Le, it's you will be Cameron. I love this name and it suits your personality too." The manager said to Jin Le.

"Cameron sounds sophisticated," he exclaimed.

"Lastly, Jae Hwan. Jameson is the name we picked for you. Do you all have violent reactions about your English names?"

And we shake our heads as a sign that we don't have any violent reactions to our names.

"Great. So you will always use those names in or off-camera for you to get used to it. Why did we give you English names? Do you have ideas?" And no one answers from the group.

"Your promotional activities will mainly focus on the Western side of the world which are the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, and many more. LC Entertainment wants to bring K-Wave to those countries and you're the first group from this company to do that." And we were shocked when we heard what our manager said.

"Is this real???" Mark asked our manager.

"Yes. I feel the same as you when the board discusses this with me. I got nervous as well because we all know that western countries don't like K-pop concepts. What they want is liberated artists, explicit songs, and music videos."

"And also the competition between the western artists versus others" Hae In interfered.

"That's true. Some western people don't like supporting other artists if and only if it's the same with their race and nationality but we will change their mindset like how we will change the world" the manager explained.

"For your concepts, it will focus on AI and Virtual Technology, Science Fiction and Multiverse. As far as I know, on your 3rd or 4th album, you will have a virtual version of yourself that will be coming out from the technology and they will spread darkness in the multiverse where people in the real world can be affected. Our writers have already written the timeline and as time goes by, we will wait for your every year's concept. For your upcoming album, the concept is all about advanced technology. You will be showing futuristic gadgets that can be possibly used in the future. The producers have paid a lot of scientists to show us their inventions. This is a high-budget music video and I am excited for all of you!" We get goosebumps about that information. Can't wait for this to happen.

"In regards to the group name, SVII 7 means S7. VII is a roman numeral of 7. SVII means SYNX 7 or in other terms SYNCHRONIZED 7. You were hardcore trained to make your dancing and singing skills synchronized. Also, another meaning for that is simultaneously going up. No one should be left behind. Aside from that, there are chances that the company will add subunits to the group name under SYNX. Remember that you guys are the first subunit that will be introduced in this unit."

"So basically, will there be another group that LC Entertainment will debut?" Jae Hwan questioned the manager.

"Not so sure about that since I don't have access to those things. But I heard the rumors beforehand that the company will produce a 15-member group and it might be the SYNX group." The manager responded to his question.

"I heard that rumor before. If it's not a fixed group then it will be a rotational group" Jaesung butt into the conversation.

"What do you mean by rotational group?" I asked him.

"Basically a group that is mixed and matches yearly. For example, Min Hyuck, Hae In, Jen Le, and Jae Hwan in this year's comeback. For the next year, it will be Jaesung, Jaeyon, and Len Ji. In the next year, it might be Min Hyuck, Jaesung and Jae Hwan, and so on." Jaesung explained to me.

"You're right. LC Entertainment is now experimenting with the groups. Also to lessen the expenses in debuting a group, they will do that instead since all of the members have fans. They will not have difficulty in introducing them in public."

"So here we go in the group positions. Since next week will be the recording of your songs in your first album and the pictorial, I will give you now your positions" our eyes widened as we heard what the manager said.

"Next week???" Jen Le asked.

"Yes. Don't worry. Your first album will consist of 2 songs only as an introductory. But you will record a total of 5 songs. And in regards to your photoshoot, there will be two concept photos for photo books"

"So for the rapper position, it will be…" I am getting nervous that they might consider me for a rapping position.

"Main Rapper will be Mark and Jayden. The lead rapper will be James and Jameson." Min Hyuck, Me, Jaesung, and Jae Hwan stood up and congratulated each other for being the rappers of the group.

"For Vocals, the Main vocalist is Harvey. Lead vocalists will be Cameron and Lex."

"In terms of dancers, the Main dancers will be Jameson and James. Lead dancers will be Jayden and Mark."

"So I think I have discussed already the important matter to all of you. We will proceed now with the recording next week. The demo songs will be sent to your emails and also the demo dance practice. This is a stepping stone for all of you to shine. Good luck everyone! I'm leaving as we have a meeting now." And the manager left us in happiness and excitement. This is it. It is now happening.

Hi everyone! I decided to make English names of the members. Here are they:

Min Hyuck - Mark

Len Ji - Lex

Hae In - Harvey

Jaeyon - Jayden

Jaesung - James

Jen Le - Cameron

Jae Hwan - Jameson

What do you think guys? Should I use their english names instead?
