Chap 25: Interlude Atom Eve

[Eve P.O.V] [Invincible Universe]

It's been a couple of weeks since Omni-man turned evil and since Zane went back to his world.

HIS WORLD which is not this world but one entirely different, in an entirely different universe. I knew there were a lot of crazy things out there but even now I am still struggling with all that.

I mean it looks normal and acceptable when it's some kind of an alien attack like those ugly green ones, but when it's with someone you know it just... different.

It's been... lonely. It's okay, I am used to it but... I can't help but think about him sometimes and about his words.

It's just.. aghh, you think you won't be suprised anymore with all the crazy things that happen everyday but life decides to laugh at you and give you a slapp to wake you up to a new reality.

I wonder how War Woman can deal with it and just accept it. The Guardians are doing fine with her and Immortal addition. I think.

Mark... I see him at school, and I talked to him lately. I can't really understand how he feels and don't know how to really help him beside being there for him and listen. I mean who would have thought Omni-man, our hero for 20 years now suddenly turn his back against the whole world?

That's really scary, like out of a movie or comics or something.

Uff... my life is weird, I am happy doing what I am doing it's more satisfying than when I was in Team Teen but still, I wish I could take a vacation to not think about everything, to talk to someone, to see h-....

Should I visit War Woman and ask for advice? Zane did tell me she can contact him even when he's gone. Why didn't he give me something like that.. aghh.

Huff.. easy girl take a deep breath and relax, I should really stop thinking about him and his beautiful eyes and tasty li-....

*Smack* "I should probably talk with War Woman before I go crazy"

Well that's what I want but I can't help but feel nervous standing in front of the Guardians base, I mean what should I ask her?

Can I share Zane with you?

Is it ok if I steel him?

Can you give me his number?

Ughhh... what with those silly questions, Is this how all the boys who tried asking me out felt. Karma is a bitch huh.

"Eve, why are standing there do you need anything"

I turn my head and, look who it is! the woman I am nervous to meet. I swear life is messing with me.

"A-eh, hi War woman, maam ehm I-i..."

"Fufu, calm down dear come with me let's see what can I do for you"

She giggles and leads me inside somewhere, I can't help but feel embarrassed because of the stuttering so I just look down and hope she doesn't mention it again.

"Tell me dear what can I do for you, or are you looking for someone specific?"

Well I am but he's not here " Ehm, I am actually looking for you I was hoping if I can ask you something"

"Oh, he did say you will come eventually"

She says with a smirk and all I can do is open my eyes wide and "WHat, I-i mean what do you mean?"

"Fufu, relax dear honestly because of how strong he is I sometimes forget how equally smart he is too."

And she is right, we didn't really have a lot of conversation together but the few we had, he just catch your attention with his observation abilities and he knows what to say and even when he doesn't say anything he has this look and temperament like he understood everything as if he already knew.

He even asked me about my school and explained to me a couple of things!!

"I actually wanted to talk about him, he told me you two are in a relationship and he still has someone else back in his homeworld and..." I catch myself before I spill everything, I become really flustered whenever I remember what he said.

War Woman with her ever present smirk like she knows something I don't says " and let me guess you are wondering how am I fine with this, and you want ro know how to join in?"

"Yes, I mean no, not that just-.." she giggles at me and then it dawn me that she is teasing me all along.

"Fufuf... sorry dear it's just so fun teasing you I don't remember the last time I could do something like that, please continue I won't bother you anymore, promise"

*haah* I tried to let out the nervousnes and embarrassment and continue " It's just how can you really be okay with him sharing someone else, especially when he's living -well in another universe"

"Hmm.. I understand where you are coming from Eve, in this age and era it is unusual and frowned upon for someone to have more than one wife or have concubines and mistresses.

But you have to understand dear, first we are no normal women and he is not your normal man" I frowned a bit hearing the first part about concubines and mistresses but then continued to pay attention to what she's saying.

" Secondly, I already lived for a long time Eve I saw kingdoms rise and fall, I saw people die from all kind of reasons be it wars to hunger and... old age. And he will too, it is lonely for people like us to stay and watch everything and everyone around us change and go on with their normal life."

Well, I didn't think about that before I am still in my teenage almost adult years and already feeling lonely so it's unimaginable how they feel but there's one issue with what she said

"But I'm not Immortal like you"

"Well about that..-" huh?! Am I an Immortal and I don't know?

"..- I don't really know about you or your powers Eve, from what I saw they are really impressive, but Zane said you have a lot of untapped potential that you yourself probably don't even realize"

Huh?! My brain is having issues keeping with her, am I that amazing and I don't know too?

"Ehm can you explain to me what you mean?"

"Sadly, I don't know dear like I told you it's Zane who said that and he didn't say much aside from it's better for you to discover it alone"

Okayyy, I didn't expect to hear that. Should I feel happy? Or what exactly should I feel hearing that?

"Don't think too much about it dear we all struggle with our powers sometimes and some don't live to reach their full potential just keep it in your mind but don't overthink it."

And just like that we kept talking, sometimes about random things on life, heroing or some women thing but we always return to Zane.

"He was actually reluctant to start a genuine relationship you know, so don't feel sad or discouraged because he refused you or gave you some excuse"

"Really?" Why will he be reluctant? He already have two women!! How many will he have if he was not?

"Fufu, well you met him. He is a women magnet, he is strong, smart and nice and very good in bed too I don't think I met a lot like him...."

She went on and on how amazing he and his body is and I was trying hard not to turn red from what she's saying or worse hot, I never knew War woman was like that. I mean seriously use some filter women.

"... he probably doen't want to hurt anyone's feelings but he's smart so he knows he can't do it forever too so he didn't object much after I spoke with him"

"And is that really ok with you? What if he has more won't he forget about you or not love you anymore or..."

"Well like I said he's strong so he can satisfy more than one woman at the same time" she gave me a lewd smile and winked then continued laughingly seeing me becoming embarrassed, again." And again he's smart and nice it's actually cute, beside we have time to figure it out"

Again with the time, it's like she knows something I don't know no she believes what Zane said and now I want to know too.

"Do you know if he will come back soon or if he will ever come?"

"Hmm.. now that you mentioned it, I spoke to him couple of days ago and he said he's in space searching for a planet to make it his home"

He wants to make a PLANET his home!" He wants a whole planet as his home?"

"I told you, smart. Smart people are never satisfied with small things. Tell you what how about asking him to let us visit are you busy?"

"Really? I mean no I am free but can we really visit his universe?" Well now I can't really hide my excitement, I didn't even go to space yet and here I can simply visit another universe!!

"Well let's ask him shall we" then she swiped on a bracelet and it transformed to some kinda device and she pressed something and the next second a hologram of Zane's face is speaking to War Woman.

"Sure I am still in construction phase but you two are welcome, I will open a portal wait a sec" that was the last thing I heard from him before a portal like those green alien used opened in front of us but this one was of cyan color.

I kept looking at the portal and started getting nervous for no reason till War woman nudged me with her elbow and said "well let's go and see shall we?" I noticed she had a smile on her face before she went in and I just followed behind.

One second we were in War woman's room and the next we were in some sci-fi movie.

Robots flying all around in all sizes from normal to tiny and working and building and here he is standing in front of a huge skyscraper, instructing them left and right then he turned to us and smiled.

"Hey you two it's nice to see you again so soon, sorry for the mess I just started building not long ago" he laughed a bit while walking to us and War Woman just hugged and kissed him making me embarrassed again and little bit jealous.

Wait did he just say he just started building not long ago? Even I can't do that with my power. But again he has all these robots working for him so it make sense maybe.

"How have you been Eve?" He turned to me and asked kindly with his smile, yes now I remember why I keep thinking about him.

"I'm doing fine how about you?" I answered a little bit timidly I didn't think I will meet him this soon I am so not prepared.

"That's good to hear, as you can see come let me give you a tour to my house" and then he turned and started walking toward the tall skyscraper, once infront of it the door opened from itself and then he talked to the air? " Amy they are my guest, allow them to enter"

"Yes sir" and a woman voice answered out of nowhere even War woman started looking around and when we turned to look at him he smirked.

"Amy is my Ai assistant, she takes care of my home and keep an eye on everything and assist me with everything I need, Amy they are my important guests so treat them nice and grant them Citizenship access while at it and entry access to my home they are trustworthy"

"Access granted, Hii I am Amy like master Zee said I am his assistant and responsible for everything that make his life easier and more fun" the Ai, Amy said in a cheerful voice different from the professional cold one we heard at first.

"Master Zee huh" War woman said with an amused smile.

"Well I don't want to talk to an emotionless voice all the time it gets boring" explained Zane while leading us to an elevator without doors we just stood there and the earth started moving up.

When we stopped we found ourselves in a room with no walls just windows, we could see everything outside and just now we realized how high we were.

"Let me show you what I am doing" he said and then all the windows aside the one we are standing in front started showing some videos from different angles and places.

The windows just turned to a fricking tv. Just how advanced is this place, I never saw such technology.

"As you can see we are in the middle of the city, the island is only for very important people because it have my home and other buildings responsible for the safety of the city along with other things like management and so on but they are still under construction, I was focusing on the island first and then going on from here."

"Wait did you say Island?" I couldn't help but blurt out, what does he mean an island in the middle of a city?

"Yeah this is an island, a floating island to be more precise floating over the center of the city" he the zoomed out on one of the videos and showed how the 'island' is litterally floating and the city is underneath it.

Is he transforming the whole planet or something?

"How big is your city love? Ww asks him before I could.

"About a continent size for now, well the end result anyway I didn't even start with quarter of it yet"

"Are you planning to invite people here?" I asked because this is simply too big I still wouldn't believe we are standing on some unknown planet if I am not seeing the bots building with my own eyes.

"Well if anyone would like to live here with my rules then I wouldn't mind but that for wayy later, I still have to finish with the building and energy consumption and figure out a plan for food and water and planting and so much more"

Amazing is simply all on my mind, how much did he plan further? He's building a freaking continent on a freaking planet that's his alone and thinking about food and stuff all alone!!

He is like nah I don't want to rule the world I am building my own. Which is freaking awesome to be honest.

We kept at it while Zane is showing us the 'house' as he is calling it, that's a freaking space ship not a house.

I am starting to see his playful side more now, all I saw of him before is the strong yet kind, intimidating yet understanding person and now I am seeing the smart and fun Zane.

Like can you get any more perfect than that, he's already handsome and from what Ww said his body is also...

Ahem... now we are resting and some small robots brought us some snacks and drinks while we talk.

"Well my love it seems I am not the only one who missed you, look at this poor little girl don't you have any mercy by charming her?"

*Poooof* whatever I was drinking, well I am not anymore after hearing that.

"Come on Holly don't tease her too much look her face is almost the same color as her hair"

Et tu, Brutus?

After an unknown time of them teasing me I can finally ask what I want.

"Zane Ww said you know more about my power, that I have more potential what did you mean by that?"

Zane seems to pause for a little, his eyes focus on mine for a sec and then says "just like you said Eve you have a lot of potential to grow and you will be able to use your power more masterfully you just need time and creativity and you will figure everything out"

I frown a bit at that, I mean I already know this and he's obviously trying to sound nonchalant about it but why?

"What are you not telling me?"

"Why don't you tell her love maybe that will help her better in the future?" Added Ww from her side.

Zane: "Yes but you better than anyone know that powers are not just gifts and miracles, they come with burdens too. It's better for her to enjoy the gift first and discover the burden slowly later."

"But isn't better if I know beforehand so I can prepare myself." I press more.

"Some burden can't be prepared for Eve" Zane said with somehow a helpless smile.

And even Ww nods with understanding. I thought about it a bit but... I still want to know more about my power and how it will help me in the future even if I have to shoulder a burden on me.

"I still think I want to know"

*haah* Zane sigh a bit then looks at me again and smile a bit and say " To be honest Eve, you are probably one of the strongest people I know, and I pretty much know a decent number of powerful people"

Woow that suprised even Ww, if Zane himself tells you you're one of the strongest then it's something. The guy literally stood against a whole invasion alone and solved it, fought against Mark's dad to a tie and forced him to leave (is what they know happened) so if he speaks about strength you better believe it.

"First of all, Holly you can never tell anyone about this especially Cecile alright?"

"Ofcourse love, I wouldn't even before you said it I am actually feeling offended that you'll doubt me" Ww... pouted hearing Zane and is acting like a spoiled kid now.

This day is turning weirder the more I know her.

"Hahay, well sorry to make you sad I'll make it up to you ok?"

"Good" and just like that she kissed him and now she's back, does she think she's a high-school girl or something?

"What do you know about your power Eve?"

"Well I know I can see and change molecules"

"And how do you use your power?"

"Ehm.. I make constructs and energy blast and I sometimes transmute or re-build broken things"

"Eve Molecules are made of atoms, which allow a broad range of matter manipulation over virtually any substance.

And molecules exist everywhere even in cells that exist in a living body and since you can see molecules you know about these cells.

You are not changing molecules Eve you are altering reality."

"!"

"Powerful isn't it?"

I just nod absent-mindedly and I notice Ww is also shocked as I am. I never really thought about it that way. I know I can change matter and substance but I never delved into it too much because it's taxing but this, this is different.

"You can change the earth to mud than turn it back to steel or diamond, you can literally make the air we breath toxic and poison us, you can change the temperature by changing atoms you can alter gravity around us there's a lot I can say and all of that is just external"

"Just External!" murmured Ww in awe, now she understood why Zane told her to keep it a secret. Holly lived a long time and knows how dark a human heart can get if Cecile or any government for that matter knew about the true extent of Eves power!! Wars can be started just to get their hand on her for a chance to duplicate her power or make her theirs.

"I don't know how far you are with your power yet but essentially you can manipulate a living or non living body and change it as you like just by seeing them"

Shocked is all I can think of right now, I can do that? How? I don't have the stamina or concentration to build complicated things that I don't know of how can I manipulate cells in living bodies?

"Relax that is very hard for the current you and will probably take years to be able to consciously start doing it"

*Huff* I don't know if that came from me or Ww to be honest, damn my powers ar scary.

"Wait what do you mean consciously?" Something in this word hit me wrong somehow.

"Our powers come from ourselves and work with our intent, our wills and our emotions.

Emotions are a strong stimulus, just like a mother can suddenly lift a car just to save her children in danger our powers will work more to save us, when feeling overwhelming happiness, overwhelming sadness or inevitable death our powers will do what it can to assist us"

"Wait love you don't mean!"

"Yes, if Eve is ever put in extreme danger like let say she will die, her power will unconsciously work to save her be it from deathly injury or..."

"Old age" that came out of my mouth, I was listening and trying to understand what he's saying and the pieces finally came together if I can really do what he is saying no I know I can do what he said I did it once before when I was young when I discovered everything.

"There is something limiting you, you are limiting yourself"

Yeah the limiter, they are there but I broke them once I can do it again.

"But you are not ready to break them yet, you still need time"

I look at him, almost crying remembering old memories and he smiled gently and gave me a shoulder squeeze.

"Enjoy your gift for now Eve, the burden comes later. Maybe some training will lesser them too, and if you ever need help you know where to find it" he repeated the same words he gave me before with a wink. I even see Ww giving me a wink and nudging me with her head.

So I act, and launch myself at him and hug his waist and bury my tears on his chest.

Maybe it's not that bad like I thought it is?

"Womanizer" I heard Ww says and felt her giving him a shoulder punch.

I giggled a bit hearing Zane complaining and saying 'what did I do'

Well maybe stole my heart and gave me a family I can be happy with?

"Let me tell you about the time I met your father" A woman with short hair wearing training clothes that show her sculpted fit body say to her son.

"Aghh mom you already told me dozen of times before" a boy about 13-15 years old with dark brown hair and one blue one green eye complained.

"Good you should listen to dozen more that's how powerful your father is"

"Aghh fine"

"Back then when the old Viltrum was still a thing we lost contact with two of our Viltrumites, an elite and his son who were supposed to be conquering planet Earth your father seems to like to spend his time on, I still don't understand what he sees in that backward lowly place"

'Of course you won't you barbaric woman'

"Boy did you just think of something rude just now"

"O-ofcourse not mother"

"Hmph I will punish you later"

'Is that the women intuition dad told me about? Scary!'

"Anyway were was I? Ah yes I was sent to see what happened and to my surprise that place has already been conquered and almost finished rebuilding but not by our people.

Ofcourse I had to know what happened so I started gathering information"

"You mean destroying and threatening"

"The same"

*eye roll*

"I don't do that anymore anyway, your father says it's waste of resources and too barbaric whatever that mean. Took all the fun of it."

'Fun you sadistic women!'

"So I heard a new conqueror killed our people, saved everyone and took over and since no one powerful was there to object averyone simply accepted and they seemed satisfied and did not rebel or resist which I found weird and interesting"

"Yeah how weird no need to be barbaric and just being smart about it" the boy sarcastically said.

*paah* *Boom*

"Boy are you saying I am an idiot and unlady like"

"Wh-"

"I will double your training from now on"

"Triple" after that he just shut his mouth up as he really didn't want his mother to turn all military on him. Maybe he should run and find his father maybe he can take him away to another universe for a while or something.

*scoffing*"Huh.. don't think you can run away I will show you why I was called one of the strongest back then and was able to win your father's love when only few could. "

'Shit' thought the boy finally getting out of the hole she buried him in with her punch.

"Back to what I was saying I flew directly to his castle and told him to join us or die. That is the only time I will admit I was foolish and overestimating myself.

Do you know what happened after that?"

"Yes mom you told me he beat your ass"

*smack* "Language boy, he just gave me this amused smile of his that still make my body hot till this day"

The boy still can't believe how his father tamed this beast turning training demoness he calls his mother till this day.

"He defeated me without even trying he was playing with me the whole time, I never felt this rage and humiliation like that and pushed myself like never before but it was still not enough at the end he didn't even want to kill me and told me to leave and stop making trouble like I am some child you know what I did?"

"Turned craz-..?" Before he even finshed his sentence he felt his words stuck in his throat any extra letter and he will really experience hell like never before "*cough cough* I mean like the brave and powerful warrior you are you challenged him to death again"

"That's right, I even threatened to destroy everything he built and love, he just scoffed at me and the next thing I knew I was on his lap being spanked.

Oh never felt this... this hot and aroused before how he manhandled and humiliated me like that, I just wished if he took me right then and there and raped me-"

'How can she be a sadist when training but turn a masochist in front of father?!' The boy has only the atmost respect for his father every time he hears this stroy even thought he hears it begrudgingly.

"While I was enjoying his punishment for me I was still not satisfied so I confronted him to either have me as his women or I will forever fight him and destroy everything till then. The next thing I will never forget, I still get wet everytime I remember"

Ahem like I was saying the next thing I know he has his hand around my neck choking me so hard I felt my head was going to fall then like the devil he whispered in my ear and said 'tell you what, I like strong women like you so I'll give you a chance go back to your empire and tell them all to come, once I deal with them all and your leader I will accept you if you stayed alive after that' I thought he was crazy back then I already knew he was stronger then couple of us together but the grand regent and the whole Empire that was suicide but I knew if I said anything I will be dead and even before I tried to open my mouth he threw me into space"

Anissa was already lost in thoughts remembering that day when the empire came with all it soldiers against him alone. It was a massacre. It was a masterpiece. It was so hot and awe aspiring she came without knowing. She noticed her son trying to run away behind her back but got hold on him and forced him to sit again while her hand perssing his head hard if it's anyone else it would have exploded. 'Ah the perfect specimen' she thought 'my and his son'

If anyone who knew her saw her right now they wouldn't believe it's the same sadistic and training maniac Anissa they are seeing, this look of love and devotion on her face is even weird for her son to see sometimes.

"The next was history Viltrum was nothing after that, the only ones left were those who I was able to convince to surrender or those who respected strength most and chose to surrender willingly, even Thragg our strongest couldn't last minutes against him

Hah, don't get me started on those who called themselves the coalition of planets.

After they heard that the empire got destroyed and the rest of them are on planet earth they prepared everything they had and came to scare your father to hand us over"

Anissa's grin couldn't help but widen at the memory. A single man stood against the whole world, and won.

"He just told them to fuck off and when they insisted he told them this is my planet and everyone here all my people and no one mess with what is his, even back then in my hayday I never saw someone cower in fear so fast as they did, he defeated and killed their strongest with a flick of his fingers all he had to do is move his hand and those ships they were proud of simply turned his, they had to beg at the end just to let them live you know what happened after that."

"He took over and ruled everything?" Even though it was a question, the boy knew it was what happened.

"He dominated them, absolutely brought them to submission and they couldn't do anything but bend. I can swear I saw stars shining in the eyes of some of my comrades back then, some even began to cry and pray to him"

"Ah so that where this religion of father came from"

"Yeah he tried to make them stop but they turned fanatical so he just ignored it after."

To this day his father's religion is the most dominant religion that is in this universe, maybe the only one beside his is the ancient or mythical ones that are almost non existent.

"That how great and mighty your father is after all he is the emperor of this universe and bunch of others and you my son are his heir and I will make sure you will be as powerful as him and show those bitches that my genes are better than them"

"But mom they are my brothers and sisters"

"So what you still have to show your superiority, these bitches dare to throw themselves at him and beg him to even be his bed warmers, aghh remembering them make me angry let's get back to training I need to let off some steam"

"M-mom p...please no training today I am already strong.. no mom pleaase" ofcourse all his pleas went on deaf ears behind the sadistic grin of his mother Anissa.

'Why father why' cried the poor son of Anissa and Zane.

But what neither Anissa or her son know is, this wasn't the first Anissa Zane met. All the ones he knew before were either killed by him or someone else, there is probably only one who is married to Mark and have a kid with him.

Zane just got bored of killing Viltrumites and Anissa was mostly the first to come and some of them really deservef to die but this one was kinda funny in his view and less violent and after couple of times of playing with her and humiliating her he thought he'll give her a chance.

To his surprise she turned to be a hard masochist and bdsm was her fetish especially getting spanked and choked he wandered why but decided not to ask and just enjoy, there were several cases like her in his harem so he just ignored it. Funny enough these cases all are the supposed to be warriors.

A foreshadowing? A possible future? Or just an idea? Who knows?

I don't want to write much about the Invincible universe and I doubt we will go back to it in the near future, that's why I didn't care much about any differences Zane's existence there could have had and just wanted to show you that even though there isn't a mention of it anymore it doesn't mean it's done.

As you saw Zane still keep in contact with Ww, he's not an asshole after all he won't just forget her and be done with it.

And I haven't forgotten about Eve too, since she was chosen I will have to include her and give a glimpse on how their relationship advanced or will in the future so to not be seen as like I decided she will be in and that's it.

Next chapter we will be finishing with the planet and having a glimpse about Zane future plans or adventures, maybe in 2 chapters and the first arc will be done with S1 and we will have some multiversal travel (Dc only) and some timeskip till we come to back to S2.
