Chapter 141: I Don't Like This Nation

"H'el!!!"

Kara's slender, delicate body broke the sound barrier, creating ripples in the air as her excited face rushed straight towards H'el's chest.

*Boom!*

At speeds rivaling a fighter jet, she crashed into H'el's chest. Her delicate hands tightly held onto him as her cheek pressed against the cold black fabric of his suit. The sharp edges of the diamond frame left slight impressions on Kara's delicate skin, as if it were about to cut through.

H'el smiled and gently patted Kara's back, providing her with the usual sense of security that made her burst into tears, her nose wrinkling, "I missed you so much. Why is Krypton like this? I'm so relieved you're okay."

In this moment, Kara poured out all her infinite thoughts and longing onto H'el's chest.

After all, she was just a nineteen-year-old girl. At this innocent age, her homeworld had been destroyed, her father had placed her on a spaceship, and she had come to Earth, two million light-years away, alone. She only had her blood relative, her cousin, who didn't seem to feel any kinship with her. Loneliness and confusion surrounded her every moment.

She had been strong enough to survive on Earth, but the loneliness and the thoughts that spanned millions of light-years, the remnants of her confusion, crushed her heart every night.

Now, seeing H'el, she couldn't help but cry in his arms, releasing all her pain and longing.

H'el could only gently comfort her, patting her delicate back.

Kara's clothes had torn in multiple places due to the intense flight, exposing her fair skin. Sparks and flames had started on Kara's knitted sweater and leggings, but H'el gently extinguished them, not wanting to disturb Kara's emotional outpouring.

For a long time, Kara spoke about her longing for Krypton, her thoughts about H'el, her longing for her family, and her joy at seeing him. She quietly enjoyed the security of H'el's familiar chest.

Only then did Kara suddenly realize that her tears had soaked H'el's chest. Two blushes rose on her shy cheeks as she berated herself for her unfiltered emotions. They weren't lovers; would he mind her outburst?

H'el, with a gentle and comforting touch, and a warm tone in his voice, made Kara's entire face turn as red as an apple.

"So, the mischievous girl who used to steal my flying car also blushes, huh?" H'el teased.

The feeling of seeing an old friend again made H'el, with all his grand ambitions, feel a sense of nostalgia. In the blink of an eye, several decades had passed since the time he and Kara used to race on the highways.

This is why he want to rebuild New Krypton, to cherish the past and to have a future.

Kara rested her forehead against H'el's chest, blushing and clenching her delicate fists. She lightly pounded H'el's sides, creating sonic booms, playfully expressing her anger and shyness as any teenage girl would.

As Kara playfully struck H'el, she couldn't help but burst into laughter.

As her emotional release neared its end, Kara, with a blush on her cheeks, tidied her golden locks and moved away from H'el's chest.

"Ah!"

She caught sight of the gruesome state of Superman, resembling a skeleton, and she was instantly horrified, letting out a startled cry.

Kara couldn't hide anything from H'el, just as she couldn't before. She began to worry about what H'el was planning, and whether her cousin might die or cause something terrible to happen.

She was always kind-hearted.

H'el didn't see obtaining the Life Codex from Superman's body as something nefarious. He calmly explained to Kara the circumstances and what he was about to do.

He had no intention of harming Superman's life; instead, he would maintain it and periodically extract genetic information from the Life Codex.

Kara was one of the few friends who could play alongside H'el, a choice friend.

"H'el, you're carrying too much," Kara said, biting her lip tightly. She felt as though she could see H'el standing tall in the vastness of the starry sky, enduring countless hardships to restore Krypton, millions of light-years away.

She glanced at Superman, as if she had made a silent decision.

In the Arctic sky, a General-class cruiser appeared, carrying numerous biological instruments. They began to set up within the Fortress of Solitude.

This area in the Arctic would become the primary research center for Superman and the Flash.

H'el wouldn't place Superman and the Flash inside the Cosmic Mothership; as that could potentially link the Zero Planet in future battles.

Once he had taken care of Superman and the Flash, ensuring they had no means of escape and preventing anyone from rescuing them, H'el touched Kara's shoulder and instantly teleported them to the Zero Mothership on the far side of the Moon.

He sent Kara to the living quarters of the mothership, where her mother was.

"Mom."

"Kara."

The two women held each other tightly, bursting into tears of joy together.

Kara never thought she would see her mother again.

Alura never imagined she would be able to hold her precious daughter again.

H'el watched from a distance, his expression filled with warmth and contentment. Alura's tearful eyes overflowed with gratitude.

Mother and daughter, reunited across two million light-years, clearly had endless words to say to each other.

H'el didn't linger for long; he turned and left.

He had already given Kara a brief moment of time. His life wouldn't pause for others for too long. Beauty could be appreciated briefly, but he was the creator of beauty, and he still had grand plans to fulfill.

As he strode towards the command center, floating auxiliary terminals emerged from the corner, following him closely. In front of him, they projected a screen and began to report.

"Your Majesty, we haven't detected any large-scale gathering actions that surpass the rank of lieutenant officers. The only notable development is that the United States has decided to activate an underground facility in Sector Seven, believing it to be the ultimate weapon capable of surpassing Superman's powers and initiating a full-scale attack." Zero reported.

H'el's brow furrowed slightly as he gazed at the map of the world with the strongest nations on Earth, deep in thought.

Perhaps his act of annihilating twenty thousand soldiers in that country within thirty seconds wasn't enough to trigger the Earth's deeper forces to react.

Earth needed a more profound stimulus for those hidden powers to emerge. Only then could he determine his position.

Upon entering the command center, Karu was already waiting, having prepared for H'el's return. After a half-kneeling salute, he reported.

H'el walked briskly to the steel seat in the command center, swirled his black cape as he sat down, and gazed dominantly at the map of the Earth, focusing on the nation in question.

"All these troubles seem to originate from this country, and I don't like this country," H'el said calmly.

"Kalu, I command you to lead five hundred thousand Kryptonian soldiers. Eliminate this nation within ten minutes. The Grand Marshal-class battleship 'Valiant' will provide logistical support for you."
