Chapter 165: Rock of Eternity

[Anthony's POV]

"Thank you for agreeing to help."

Diana addressed me the next day as we were aboard a big plane I had created some time ago.

"Diana, you should know by now that I'm always willing to help you."

I replied, wrapping my arm around her.

She was dressed in a sleek suit with a belt around her waist, and this attire suited her well.

"I never doubted it."

She said, her gaze falling on my lips.

"Ahem, ahem."

A disgruntled red-haired friend of Diana's cleared her throat, the same one who once tried to take me down with an arrow.

Artemis was sitting here with a group of Amazons who decided to enter the "world of men."

After Diana became the Goddess of War, she spent more time on Themyscira to tell them they were now free and no longer needed to remain isolated on their island.

I had given her a few computers with internet access and other equipment to show what was happening in the larger world.

Diana had asked me to help her sisters enter the larger world with all the comforts they needed to adapt to the new realities.

Initially, Hippolyta was not happy with this, but over time, she softened and eventually supported this turn of events.

"What?"

Diana turned to her, not quite understanding her reaction.

"…Nothing."

Artemis glanced at me with displeasure.

"Could you at least refrain from displaying your close relationship here?"

"Why not? My bond with Tony is much deeper than mere closeness… It's love, as confirmed by the goddess of love herself."

Diana still didn't grasp Artemis's reaction.

"And yes, you can already change into simpler clothes."

"You mean the kind you wear? I'm more comfortable in my armor…"

Artemis commented, looking at Diana.

"Well, you could do what I do and wear the suit over your armor."

Diana suggested while unbuttoning her suit, revealing her familiar armor underneath.

"I might just do that…"

Artemis gave me one last disdainful look before heading to another section where most of the Amazons were gathered around a holographic screen showing our flight path.

"She doesn't mean any harm… Artemis and I had a close relationship in the past."

Diana explained.

I couldn't hold back, and leaned in and kissed her while pressing her strong body against mine.

"I'm not angry with her."

I reassured.

"But they need to lower their pride and disdain for the opposite sex, or they'll face difficulties."

"The others are behaving relatively well. After everything I told them, even my mother became curious. Artemis… she's always been like this. As a child, I competed in an Amazonian Tournament and fought Artemis, who wanted to prove that children didn't belong in such events…"

"Redheads."

I nodded while kissing her again, pressing her against the wall of the plane, and beginning to undress.

Soon, the door to the compartment closed, and I entered her forcefully after removing my pants.

Diana's body had always been exceptional, and it had only improved since becoming the Goddess of War, with her vaginal muscles working to extract every bit of me.

As I continued to thrust into her eager core, I kissed her neck while running my hand down her back and slapped her exquisite buttocks.

We got things done and had fun together.

Diana finally became more dominant and used her lasso for our games.

After a brief tour of the Amazons, I settled them into a building owned by LuthorCorp, where there was still plenty of space.

They already knew much about the world from Diana, and no significant issues were expected.

There would be work for them at LuthorCorp's enterprises, where they could assist and protect if necessary.

However, their roles would ultimately depend on their own choices, whether they wanted to be guards, scientists, or anything else.

"Master, the drone detected a surge of powerful magical energy in Philadelphia, in Fawcett City. It appears that the entity "Shazam" has gained his powers."

Cortana informed me while I was in space, monitoring the functioning of the city of Kryptonians that they named New Hope.

"Yes... it seems his time has come."

I said this when sensing a slight surge in the powers of past Olympians.

One of the main transitional pathways to the Rock of Eternity lies in Philadelphia, more precisely in Fawcett City.

This place concentrates the power of several gods and serves as a meeting place for the Council of Eternity.

This Council included Solomon, Achilles, Zeus, and many other super-powerful beings who sentenced Judas Iscariot to his punishment.

A lot of the council members quit in some way, but Black Adam killed some of them, and the last one remaining there was the Wizard. 

Mamaragan remained the final guardian of the Rock of Eternity, and the Seven Deadly Sins were sealed there.

He has now passed on the powers of "Shazam" to someone else.

Shazam embodies the powers of the champion of the Rock of Ages, last bestowed upon Black Adam who betrayed the Council of Eternity and turned against his creators.

The Champion Shazam possesses the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury.

I know what this means when knowing about comics. I used teleportation from Fawcett City to the Rock of Eternity to ensure that Shazam had shown up.

Immediately, I saw the old wizard, who no longer had the former power he once held when he stood equal to the gods.

"Anthony Luthor... I did not expect that in my final moments, a new god of Olympus would come to me."

He uttered, barely breathing, yet recognizing me.

"I'm curious whom you have bestowed the powers of Shazam upon. For millennia, you did not pass on this power."

I said, looking around.

I could also feel the Seven Deadly Sins that were sealed away. 

They felt like powerful demons even in this state, carrying all the world's sins and physically unable to be completely eradicated. 

At least as long as there is life in the universe.

"The time has come... My moment has arrived, and I have found the successor. The powers of Shazam have fallen into the right hands..."

 He croaked.

"He's fourteen."

I said, raising an eyebrow.

"Age is of no consequence, only the soul and will. What do you want?"

He frowned.

"Nothing. I just wanted to make sure the powers didn't go to a lunatic."

I spoke the truth.

"I understand your concerns... Now the Rock of Eternity is in your hands, and it's time for me to rest... Good luck, Almighty God of Olympus."

He nodded slightly and passed away, turning to dust before my eyes.

"I will establish additional defenses then... just in case."

I said, looking at the sealed sins.

The Rock of Eternity already has magical defenses against intrusion, but there are various ways to bypass them, and I used one such method by teleporting here as the god of Olympus.

Since I wanted to avoid unnecessary trouble, I began creating seals around the Rock of Eternity.

Then I glanced at Shazam... whom Cortana had been monitoring since his time in the shelter.

Nevertheless, LuthorCorp also invested millions in various shelters.

Lena is a kind soul, and it's good publicity.

Billy Batson's shelter also benefited from this money.

Billy himself is a rather stubborn child, but I must say he is genuinely kind-hearted.

He would get into fights defending strangers from bullies.

He was recently adopted by the Vasquez family, who themselves grew up in shelters and understood such children.

Rosa and Victor Vasquez not only took him in, but they already had five other adopted children.

They are truly good people who want to help Billy... who initially doesn't understand but eventually grows to love them and the family.

He has now received the power of Shazam, literally the power of the gods.

He's having fun and testing his new powers right now, and he even managed to tell his school friend about them... Well, he's a kid, what more can you expect from him.

DxD World

"Team Glasya-Labolas will face off against Peer Sairaorg Bael today!"

The commentator announced the latest rating games showcasing the young generation of devils.

The Rating Games were taking place in the exact location between dimensions.

"Is this your cousin's team?"

Lena asked Rias, looking at a tall and muscular man with violet eyes exuding a particular ferocity.

He had girls, guys, and even a stone man standing behind him.

"Yes, Sairaorg Bael... his father expelled him from home because he lacked the Destruction Power but as a Bael he was supposed to inherit it. Because of this, they mocked him, which eventually led his mother to fall into a coma."

Rias recounted with clear animosity towards Sairaorg's father.

"Maybe we should teach that bastard a lesson?"

Shinoa suggested.

"That's not the best idea. He's the head of the Bael clan."

Rias shook her head.

"Sairaorg has become the strongest devil of his generation even without the Bael clan trait. He's a very kind and compassionate guy. You'll definitely like him."

"Hmm."

Erin said.

Hermione simply pursed her lips to remain silent.

"I know what it's like to have a father who places too many expectations on you when seeing you not as a person and daughter but primarily as an object for sale."

Winter remarked.

The rating game between the two peers vividly demonstrated the differences in their powers.

They showed that Sairaorg's peer was head and shoulders above, along with the young man who fought against opponents with a smirk.

"Well then, our turn."

Shinoa bounced in place.

After Sairaorg's team won, it was Rias's peer's turn, and temporarily joined by additional members with Satan's approval.

Their opponents were a team from the faction of Old Satans who considered themselves the pinnacle of the underworld.

"Peer Rias Gremory against Team Amon, who have decided to participate and prove that the faction of Old Satans is still here!"

After these words, Rias' team moved onto the arena, which now looked like an open field with several mountains and hills under a blue sky.

Rias's team included Koneko, Akeno, Kiba, Gasper, Shinoa, Winter, Lena, Hermione, and Erina.

They were up against a group of fourteen people, half of whom were official high-class devils.

"Politics again..."

Rias grumbled when realizing that the Old Satans likely didn't just decide to field the younger generation into battle without reason.

The battle began, and she nodded to Kiba and Koneko, who immediately dashed forward with snowy-white seals appearing beneath them that accelerated their speed tenfold.

Afterward, Akeno took off with her wings open and laughing as lightning bolts streaked between her hands.

"They're coming..."

Rias noticed several demons attacking Koneko and Kiba.

"Well then... Division-Division-Division!"

Shinoa jumped forward with a scythe and hurled an energetic crescent slash ahead, which hit a mountain behind the devil...

It exploded, causing everyone to feel a small earthquake with one of the mountains simply disappearing leaving behind a blazing crater.

Lena's eyes turned red, and the devil, who was scared of not being seen, fell backward, getting cut in half by a laser that also made a deep hole behind the body...

"Amon's knight is out of the game!"

They heard words indicating that one of Team Amon's demons "died" and returned.

"And now..."

Lena exclaimed eagerly as she flew up and landed next to the group of devils, causing them to scatter in different directions.

They were immediately eliminated from the game, leaving behind a huge crater of a hundred meters.

A second later, another explosion resounded, and another mountain disappeared while being shattered into atoms by the power of Rias' Destruction.

When meteorites started falling from the sky, devils began freezing and simultaneously bursting into violet flames.

They realized they would have been better off staying home.
