"How long have you been a sorcerer?" Diana inquired. She had traded her regular attire for one of Cain's shirts and was seated at the dining table.

Cain brought a steaming plate of food to the table before responding. "A week or less," he replied.

Diana inspected her plate thoughtfully. "You seem quite proficient in your spells; who is teaching you?" Her tone carried an air of authority, as she raised a valid concern.

Cain chuckled. "Oh, don't worry about it. I'm not teaching myself magic. Sometimes, random knowledge about spells just pops into my head."

Diana appeared skeptical. "Random knowledge about spells just appears in your mind?" she asked with curiosity.

Cain chuckled again. "You don't believe me, do you?"

Diana's expression softened. "It's not that I don't believe you, Cain. I mean, is just that pies dont fall from the skies, i mean if you dont want to tell that is fine too."

Cain got up briefly and went to the bedroom. He returned with the Lasso of Truth wrapped around his hand. "Random knowledge about spells appears in my mind," he said, but nothing happened. He released the lasso. "See," he said. "That was unnecessary, i trust you cain, plus look at me" she said as she pointed to her attire, hinting at her lack of armour and weapons, "Trusting your partner is the basic principle in any relationship."

Diana gave him a warm smile as cain said teasingly,"Ah, so we are in a relationship?"

Diana faint being offended as she said, "What, you think I'd let just anybody sleep a with me?" she replied with a teasing smile.

cain leaned in closer and whispered into her ear, "I know."

Diana changed the tone, becoming more serious. "You know, I'm putting together a team, a Justice League that deals with the supernatural side of things."

Cain appeared intrigued. "Oh, that seems smart."

Diana listed some of the members: "Currently, it's me, Detective Chimp, Man-Bat, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, and Constantine. I was hoping you could join us. There's a lot of experience to be gained from being part of a team, and you could learn a lot."

Cain's face lit up as he realized one of his favorite magicians, Zatanna, was part of the team. "Wait, Zatanna?" he asked in surprised as she said, "You're a fan of hers?" she asked with a smile.

Diana chuckled. "Am I supposed to be jealous?" she teased.

Cain laughed. "Come on, you've known me for years. I am, after all, i am monogamous."

Diana finished his sentence and then seemed to have a realization. "Wait, is that why you didn't make any move?" she asked, studying him closely.

Cain nodded. "Yeah, you could say that. I was testing you."

Diana smiled, feeling reassured. "And since I'm here, that means I qualify."

Cain gave her shoulder a playful punch. "Bingo."

Diana went into deep thought for a moment, but Cain's voice snapped her back to the present. "Hey," he said, "no pressure. If this doesn't work out, we both are going to move on"

Diana nodded. "I understand. Then we better take things slow," she said, looking up at him. "Arent we? I mean, you're busy with the Justice League and your own problems, and now with this new Justice League. When are you going to have time for me?" cain said as he faint sadness.

Diana reassured him with confidence. "Then I will make time. I will make this work."

Cain smiled. "We will."

He concluded with a suggestion, "But for now, while you're still in the clutches of Cain, the mighty dragon slayer," he teased with a suggestive look, "why don't you head to bed? I'll be there in seconds."

-scene change-

Cain couldn't help but complain about the aches in his body. "God, do I hate my bones or something?" he grumbled. Diana chuckled, a light-hearted sound that filled the room. "Well, you did say to break you, and what was that other thing you mentioned?" she inquired as she started putting on her armor. "Thunder thigh?" he suggested as she shook her head.

Cain pondered, and then it clicked. "Oh, death by snoo-snoo," he chuckled, earning a genuine laugh from Diana. "Yeah, that one. I don't understand it. Why would you want to get crushed in between my thighs?" Diana asked, a touch of confusion in her voice as she secured her armor.

Cain wore a playful grin. "You wouldn't understand," he teased as he approached the Amazonian warrior. "Am I lucky or what?" he remarked, wrapping her in his embrace.

Diana laughed lightly. "Yes, you are," she agreed. "And so am I."

- Scene Change -

Inside his hideout, Cain stood holding a familiar gauntlet, surrounded by a collection of well-known books. "I've been putting it off for a while now, but I can't anymore," Cain said to his clone as he regarded the device on his hand. "A device that allows me to create clones of myself without any time limit, although it does come with the risk of clones with free will. Thankfully, they don't have my memories of the spell tree," he explained as he pressed a button on the gauntlet, materializing an exact duplicate of himself, gauntlet and all.

The clone, newly formed and slightly disoriented, inquired, "Finally, I am awake, so what are we doing?"

Cain took a moment to glance back at the books scattered on the floor. The clone, following his gaze, was briefly taken aback. "Oh, come on, we're thieves; why are we reading?" the clone expressed his skepticism.

Cain improvised quickly. "Well, I wanted to know what language these books are in so that we can steal from a sorcerer," he replied.

The clone considered this for a moment and finally shrugged. "Hmm, well, as long as we can steal, I guess that's fine. If it were me, I would use clones too, just saying," he mused before approaching one of the books.

Suddenly, Cain's phone rang, and he quickly answered, recognizing the caller ID. "Wizard, where the hell have you been? I've been trying to contact you for months," Tomi's voice exclaimed as he exaggerated. Cain let out an exasperated sigh. "Just skip the formalities and tell me the contract details," he demanded as he placed the phone between his shoulder and ear and turned his attention to the computer.

"Okay, got it. The pay is humongous—30 billion," Tori announced. Cain's face twisted into a frown. "Let me guess, I'm supposed to steal Batman's Batmobile for this amount of money," he quipped sarcastically.

Tori laughed, "No, no, of course not. That mission is 70 million. Anyways, this mission is, well, complicated."

Cain stayed silent, his fingers drumming on the desk in contemplation, a rhythmic sound echoing over the phone. "Just give me the details," he finally responded.

Tori hesitated for a moment before continuing, "Okay, it's that simple, sure. You need to steal something. But it's the difficulty of getting into the place that's worth 30 million. It's getting back with the item and making it out in one piece that's the challenge."
