Chapter 16

Lifting up her head so that her eyes could meet his, Rudy was showing what he would consider to be his more charming type face.

Rudy was a known gambler on the black market who made his fortune by betting on the success of several criminal organizations and even winning several big poker tournaments.

With golden blonde hair under his cowboy hat, he wore a completely white suit with shoes that resembled the coloring style of dominoes.

Dropping her head after showing a sinister little smirk to her to prove his dominance in this situation, Rudy gestured for his men to relax for a moment before he began talking.

"It was not easy, but I was able to pay one of our new tech guys to create that little collar around your neck. Trust me when I say, it is better that you are wearing that instead of me just taking your life away from you." Rudy explained before continuing on.

"My boss is something that not even Superman would be able to handle facing. Luckily for me, it came to me with an offer that I just couldn't refuse and in a single night, we were able to take over all of those smaller criminal organizations I had a piece of in many cities around the world."

"Sure, a small criminal organization would not mean much at all, but when you have over twenty of them working towards the same goal, one could call it a large organization at this point." laughing at how easy it was to create such a large criminal organization literally overnight, Rudy felt very proud of his abilities.

"Why not just become my bride and serve me at every waking moment, miss Canary?" turning back towards her, Rudy leaned down as if he was about to kiss the Black Canary.

However, before his face could get close enough, the Black Canary spat in his face, which caused all of Rudy's men to take out their guns to point them towards her in response.

"Easy everyone, no need to overreact now." Rudy told his men before gesturing for them to put away their firearms. The reason Rudy caught the Black Canary alive, was so that he could deliver her to his boss for reasons that not even his closest supporters would know why.

"Being so feisty can be a good thing, but without your sonic screams, you are just a sitting ant that is waiting for me to squash." Rudy told her before slapping her in the face once again in anger.

"How about you untie me and we can both see what I am capable of without my super powers?" Black Canary replied to the taunt with a very weak sounding voice. She was clearly very hurt all over her body and could barely speak in complete sentences at this point of the night.
