13: Sage

In the room 204, Larry could be seen tied up with chains and sitting on a chair. On either side of the chair, was a table on which various tools were kept, on one of the table some tools which looked like they could be used for torture we're kept, while on the other table there were syringes filled with various fluids with different colours.

It had been five minutes since the fight has concluded, while Larry was sitting unconscious and naked on the chair. Ved had already taken them NS10 to recover to his Peak condition.

With the help of the solution, he had been able to not only recover his stamina but also recover from the cramps that he had been given by Larry skill.

Now that he had recovered and was it his Peak condition he knew that it was time to ask Larry 'nicely' about, how he got such powers in his hand because the way that the spasms were given to him felt very unnatural like some kind of unknown force was at work.

He also knew that this force was quite powerful, it was just that Larry had not been able to fully apply it on him or otherwise he might have not just felt cramped, but maybe had his muscles torn or even his bones broken.

Finally, after five minutes were over Ved got up from his seat took one of the syringes with the purple liquid from the table which had a very diluted NS10 in it.

It would help Larry not only to wake up, but also to recover some of his stamina and resist the for some time so that he could answer the question, but it was not enough so that he would be able to fight back.

As for other preventive measures he had already put Abby on high alert to record every moment of Larry as well the vicinity in 10 km radius.

After the injection Of the liquid was done Ved went to the table to pick up another syringe, in this he had concocted a truth serum.

This was a serum that was used in his previous world after a series of research, after numerous experiments it was found that it would even make a super soldier tell all his Secrets.

Even though Larry was quite strong, he had still not broken through the boundary of the super-soldier in his previous world.

So he knew that this drug would work on him, of the assurances of that was after the fight in the last 5 minutes that he was sitting, he had already taken a sample of Larry's blood and with the Abby's help, he had been able to verify whether the serum would work on him or not.

The results were that 85 per cent chances were the serum would work and the rest 15% were unknown because of the mysterious power shown by Larry.

After 10 to 20 seconds, Larry finally woke up, he was feeling quite giddy because of the Venom as well as the truth serum.

After taking some seconds to organize his thoughts, he started to check his own body seeing all of his belongings missing he finally looked at Ved with venomous eyes.

Before Ved could ask anything Larry shouted,

"Are you out of your mind, don't you know that Sage's are not allowed to battle in public?"

He was quite furious about the ambush, it seemed that some kind of rule that he was betting on had been broken and he was not quite happy with it.

But Ved didn't know what he was talking about, but what he understood from this sentence was that Larry was a 'Sage', because without him being one he wouldn't have spoken about the rules.

Without minding what Larry said any further, he asked some questions to verify whether the truth serum was working or not.

He asked, "Is your last name Larry shine?"

"Of course it is you motherfucker!!" Larry answered without any thought.

"Is your blood group AB-?" Ved asked

"Yes, so what you want to sell it in the black market?!" Larry questioned in a form of ill-mannered humour.

"When was the last time that you wet your bed?" Ved continued without giving any thoughts to his bad joke.

"When I was eight!!?."

As soon as he answered this question, Larry was shocked, even though the questions prior to this one that Ved had asked he had answered in his rage.

He didn't mind it very much as the answers to such questions can be found by anybody by doing some research so he didn't have to lie about it, but this question which he should have kept deep in his heart and lied about had been blurted out so easily without his control, this had startled him he knew that something was wrong.

As answering his doubts, on what had happened when he spoke his heart truth Ved said, "So the truth serum works perfectly, that's good. So let me ask you this question, Larry."

"What is the meaning behind the title of Sage?" Ved asked.

"You are not a Sage!!"

Larry was shocked after hearing this question because he now knew that this guy was not a Sage, but he couldn't comprehend what kind of a person the guy standing in front of him as if he could take him down without being a Sage.

But before any other question could come to his mind, it was like his mouth was not his own and his mind was out of his control he started to speak again.

"Sage's are the pursuers of knowledge and wisdom. They can be described as Godly beings that can control forces of the nature to do their bidding and with their research over the Mystic worlds, they can further extend their knowledge to be able to pursue eternal light of Truth." Larry replied, Ved could see the strong yearning in his eyes towards the Mystical world.
