"You shouldn't mope on a wedding day." Aurelia's smile was watery. "Up, put on the dress."
Strelitzia slid off the bed to stand before both women, pulling the wedding dress over her head, obscuring herself in white until she finally managed to fit it in place. The bodice was a simple piece with stitching patterned in vines and ivy that made a slow crawl down to the many skirts of the dress. Each layer of the Lacey material was edged in a new pattern that when kept still made Strelitzia look like a porcelain bud emerging amongst its many pearlescent petals. Her arms and shoulders were left bare beyond the straps that rested mid arm. Truly a dress meant for a queen and she could only imagine how beautiful Aurelia would have been in it.
"How do I look?" She asked. "Oddly enough it fits perfectly." Auburn tresses left a wild mess.
Her birth mother and Cleo looked upon her as though she were the most precious sight to see.
"Beautiful." Her mother cooed.
