Ray'ven could only stare at his retreating figure with wide eyes, her mouth slightly agape. She was certain that her cheeks were as red as the Crimson moon. He was, he was falling in love with her. Her? Her heart fluttered in her chest and she wanted to say something, anything, but the words wouldn't form.
She would not deny that she felt a connection to him, even before the one after her death. He made her feel important and special. Like someone more than her father's daughter. She could still remember how her heart used to accelerate whenever he was near. How being close to him made her feel. How she always wanted to be by him.
Ray'ven stilled herself, following behind him. She grabbed hold of his hand. "Y-you can't j-just say things like that and change the subject." She said. Her face was still burning in embarrassment.
