This Love

"Are you going to say what we did was a mistake?" Amara asked as she leaned against his door, watching him.

After what had happened between them, she had noticed how he kept avoiding her. The worst part was, she couldn't stop thinking of him, nor did she want to let go of the memory of his hands running over her body.

Salam sighed, his head in his palm. She was right here, in his room despite his refusal, and he still couldn't look at her, especially when she was all he could think of.

It frightened him - the fact that he couldn't stop thinking of her, the fact that he wanted to see her all the time. It frightened him so badly. He had never felt like this before, wanting someone as if they were his whole world. He feared that if he let her into his world, he wouldn't always be there for her, to love her, hold her, make a family with her - something he doubted he could do.
