A vast office.
Xin Zaozao stood up from her office chair.
Even so, she was still shorter than Mu Cidian, but she felt that, at least, she hadn't lost much in terms of presence.
She said, "Whether or not I need to be wary of you, you know it well. So what if you're a man? So what if we share a bed? At least I won't die in obscurity like my father."
"Xin Zaozao." Mu Cidian was fuming.
"See you at the board meeting," Xin Zaozao dismissed him.
"Don't make a fool of yourself!" he retorted and slammed out of the office.
Xin Zaozao watched his retreating figure.
She watched him shut the door, causing an unusual sound.
Xin Zaozao forcefully sat down on her office chair.
Embarrassment?
Could there be anything more embarrassing than overhearing his conversation with his mother?
That kind of feeling... the feeling of being stabbed in the heart, the taste of humiliation from one's self-righteousness being slapped down.
She could appear to be very indifferent.
