#Chapter290
WARNING
Brody was in front of us before I could respond or even move. I attempted to pull him back, but he wouldn’t move. I appreciate the thought of him trying to protect us, but right now we stand more chance if I distract them and Brody and Callie get a head start.
/"Callie, honey, come here./" One of the women spoke, holding her hand out.
I watched as Callie’s eyes went wide, and she gripped hold of Brody’s legs. My eyes darted between the woman, Brody and Callie. I could see the resemblance between them all. This is definitely their mother, Lenora.
A growl spewed from my mouth before I could stop it. I don’t fully know the history between Lenora and my parents, but I know enough to know she tried ruining them both. She’s the reason Brody was injured, and I’d bet my life that she is one of the ones who wanted me captured.
