Chapter 18 - The Investigation from Batangas

Limahong was defeated and his demonic red qi was eliminated by Raylyn's Holy Kapang. It didn't take his life but Limahong will never be able to use red demon Qi ever again. The pirates were eliminated and some surrendered when they saw their captain lost. You never told me you practiced Kapang." Raylyn gazed at Araya and then sighed as he felt it was a long day. "Datu Ibon trained me, but I never knew that combining both Kapang and the Holy Spirit energy would have such dangerous side effects. I should have known since my power comes from the blessings of Light as a Paladin. Drawing too much of it and haven't mastered both could really endanger my life. I am sorry if I worried you Araya." Araya then grabbed Raylyn's head and played with the top of his hair touching each white strands within her fingertips. "Your power as you said, is that power from the western continent? I have never seen such pure holy aura in my life. Even the Apolaki blessing of Humaling isn't as bright as yours and his was the sun." Raylyn just remembered that when he fought Limahong. He couldn't fight him with just holy power, and when he drew out his Kapang. It was in a stalemate, the way Limahong fought was something even different from South East powers. "Do you know what that pirate did? His power, it's strangely vastly different from yours to mine." Araya tried to answer his question from the best of his abilities. "That guy must have practiced what they call Qi. Due to trading with the East Continent from the Ming Dynasty, we know that his power must have come from there. But for what purpose or what kind of power it was, it's something I am not familiar since I'm not a Mandirigma." Then Raylyn remembered the feeling of that power. It was terrifying yet he didn't know what else to do with now. For now, he has a mission to investigate which one of the Datu would be potentially invade or fight Kedatuan of Kabite. Since the information of Lakan Sunog's death was spread among them and Munting Lupa is still waiting for him. A rematch for the both of them, Raylyn wouldn't be able to forget about it. He went to Appari to take to the Datu but it seems that Limahong was much of a threat that they had to hold a trail on what to do with him. It was a very long day and for about 2 hours. Araya got the information. "Yes, I was sent here by Datu Ibon. I wanna investigate the pirates that was coming on the island but I also had a different purpose on why I am here. I need to know who are the people who will possibly invade the Kedatuan of Kabite and which Datu or Lakan. And for what reason? I don't wanna tell you since I wanna make sure if I could trust you." Araya translated it to Datu Appari and Datu Appari thanked him for what he did so he will help him to everything he needs. Raylyn then told him where he could find some information about possibility of some places where they would invade Kabite and for what reason and purpose."Sa tingin ko, kailangan niyo pumunta sa Batangas, may isang Datu doon na nakipagkasundo dati sa mga taong upahan (Mercenary) baka may kinalaman sila, ngunit hindi ako tiyak na may malalaman ka kung hindi ka pupunta doon." (Translation: I think, you need you go to Batangas, there is one Datu there who had a deal with some mercenaries and maybe they had something to do with it. I am not too sure if you would be able to know something if you went over there.) "Right. It's not a sure choice nor a sure information. However, I don't have a choice right now. Maybe he could tell me something about Batangas before I go." Then Araya nodded as the Datu Appari then bid him well goodbye. "Magpahinga muna kayo. Ito ang aking utang na loob sa pagtulong mo sa aking mga tao at mahal ko sa buhay." (Translation: You two should take a rest for now. This is my debt of gratitude for helping my people and my love ones.) Then the Datu left and Araya asked Raylyn about something. "Do you want me to ask Humaling and Humabon to come along? I'm sure they would be happy to accompany you since they also have something to settle with." Then Raylyn answered with a smile. "Good idea, let's ask them after I report everything to Datu Ibon." Now a new clue has been found. Next stop would be Batangas, how will he fare against the new challenges.
