Chapter 16 - Limahong vs Raylyn

They went to the shore of Kabite to ride a local boat known as Pambot. It was a small thin boat that has a large wave power making them able sail even faster with some ancestral origin energy known as Anitu't Kapang. It took them 2 hours to get there so for the meantime, Raylyn and Araya kept doing small talks. "Hey! Raylyn can I ask you a silly question?" Then Raylyn nodded while he smiled with Araya as he answered her back. "Sure, what is it Araya?" Then Araya gotten closer to Raylyn for some reason, it seems that Araya feels safe around Raylyn due to his warmth and light. Maybe because she is a Baybaylan that has a strong affinity for light or maybe she just likes his company. And Raylyn doesn't seem flustered at all of her actions and he slides his right hand around her neck and pulled her close against his male body figure, as Araya felt safe towards him and placed her left hand towards her chest and gazed at her with a smile. "I wanna know where you actually come from. You told me you were from the west but you never told me specifically. Now that I know your language, I wanna know your answer." Then Raylyn thought for awhile and grabbed Araya softly within his arms. "I lived in Artrois city. It's a rural area from the western continent, I lived there for years but when I got there I didn't know why I was there for some reason but I had to survive. I lived there and well.. I became a paladin trainee due to the circumstances to get a job to live. I didn't become a paladin trainee for the reason for righteousness or devoted to the light but only for survival since I don't have parents." Then Araya leaned her head towards his chest and answered back. "Thank you for telling me." Then Raylyn patted Araya's head and snickered a little bit and answered back "You are welcome." Then they arrived at Appari and went to the shore. The people here are pretty badly injured and in the vicinity the Datu of Appari is also waiting. It seems the time for chit chat and pleasantries aren't necessary for now, since the the pirates are now arriving on the shore and it seems that there numbers increased for about three ships. Raylyn got ready on his fighting stance while Araya is beside Raylyn, ready to support him as the Leader of the Pirates came down and smirk. "我是里馬紅,我是來征服這片土地的.做好準備" (Translation: I am Limahong, I am here to conquer this land. Prepare yourself!) Limahong shouted his name while pointing his blade on the sky and then all his pirate crew began attacking the people on Appari. Raylyn got attacked by 5 pirates while Araya kept using his Ancestral Worship Magic Arts by summoning silver lightning. Most of them got fried and when Araya attempted to cast a heavy sea level tornado water spell to attack Limahong. It was blocked by a huge chunk of energy coming from Limahong. Araya felt a devasting energy coming from him but she used her Anitu energy to give her resistance towards Limahong's energy. "你有一个独特的气,小女孩" (Translation: You have a unique Qi, little girl!) As Limahong blitz towards Araya trying to cut off her head first since she's a nuisance. But Raylyn just in time blocked it and used his holy blast coated in his holy blade and blasted it towards Limahong. With a smile, Limahong deflected it just in time and parried his sword with Raylyn, diagonal strikes with multiple stabbing strikes with such immense speed. "你也很有趣!" (Translation: You are also interesting!) Limahong said as he shouted it while Raylyn kept parrying and blocking his strikes and grappled his hand, used his elbow to attack Limahong's neck and strikes his lower abdomen with his handle and kicked him with such immense amount of speed. Limahong took the damage since he didn't expect that the young man in front of him knows how to fight with Martial Arts. His fighting style seems to be quite the same yet different from the people here. Limahong then assumed that he must be a foreigner in this land. He laughed since coming here, everything just seems to get interesting and whether he lose or not. It is worth the trip since he already escaped the Ming Dynasty as an escaped criminal and he rather conquer this land to start anew or die trying. Raylyn then attacked Limahong with a strong devasting strike from him and Limahong used his Qi to get back up and recover, as he began striking back as the wind pressure between the two was created from the battlefield. Araya didn't have time to help Raylyn due to how chaotic the battlefield was, the battle became low tide so some of the ships didn't manage to get on the shore just in time. The Mandirigma's was able to fend off these pirates due to how efficient they are in close combat and attacked them with poison arrows, Araya used his Ancestral Worshipping Magic Arts to summon a large silver colored water and drowned most of the pirates in it and added silver lighting to finish them off quickly. Raylyn hasn't used his Kapang since he hasn't mastered it yet to its fullest potential that's why he is still hesitating to use it on battle. However, Limahong is getting stronger in each time they are battling. His eyes began to form red and a red smoke began oozing on his body. As Limahong sliced the air five times and blasted five red qi blast towards Raylyn, as he used his holy magic to increase his holy aura and summoned ten layers of holy shield. The shield was blasted away with no effort and Raylyn got blown away and took incredible damage and vomited blood from his mouth and got back up after healing himself with holy light. He exhausted his light energy from that last attack and luckily he is still alive. He stood up and breathe heavily as Araya saw him struggling, she wanted to help "Raylyn! Are you okay!?" Then Raylyn replied. "I am fine! This pirate is just a little stronger than I thought but....He isn't as strong as Munting Lupa." Then Raylyn decided to unleash his other energy known as Kapang as the yellow water aura began surrounding him and grabbed his other sword known as Golok as it gotten coated in a gold like color. "Guess I have no choice but to use this in battle." Then Limahong was amazed, this type of power is something he hasn't seen before it looks like Qi but it doesn't seem to be used like a life force from his body nor does it have any body parts of Qi. Limahong knows that this isn't Qi. Whatever it is, he doesn't know it and he needs to get prepared. "Prepare yourself. You goddamn pirate!" As Raylyn pointed his Golok blade towards him while Limahong is sweating a little bit with a smirk on his face. "讓我們看看你得到了什麼" (Translation: Let's see what you got.) And thus a new battle has emerged. Will Raylyn be able to control this new found power? We will see.
