He is obsessed

Leah finished straightening her hair and dropped the hair straightener onto the dresser. She turned to glance at Lucius through the mirror, but her expression soured when she saw that he was sleeping peacefully on the couch. She stood up and marched towards him, her anger bubbling up inside her.

Leah picked up a pillow from the armchair and used it to hit Lucius on his chest.

"Wake up!" she ordered him, her voice laced with frustration. She couldn't believe that he was sleeping so soundly after what she had just said.

"Is this man seriously sleeping, after what I just said," she thought to herself, her annoyance with Lucius growing with each passing moment.

Lucius let out a long sigh before slowly blinking his eyes open, his long lashes fluttering. He gazed at Leah's angry face with a lazy expression, seemingly unfazed by the angry glares she was sending his way. He then sat upright, his attention now fully on Leah.

Leah's eyes blazed with fury as she held the pillow tightly in her hand. "Did you hear what I said?" she demanded, her voice sharp and pointed.

Lucius ran his fingers through his hair, pushing the strands that had fallen onto his forehead back. He fixed his gaze on Leah, as he did so.

Lucius spoke in a sluggish tone, his voice conveying a sense of calmness. "You said something about LA, and us forgetting about something in particular," he said, his eyes focused on Leah.

Leah's eyes widened in disbelief, her anger multiplying to the degree of a volcano. She felt like she was about to erupt, but she held herself back. She knew that getting angry wouldn't benefit her, in fact, it would only excite the man sitting in front of her.

"Is that all you really heard?" she asked, her voice sharp as she glared at Lucius. She couldn't believe that he had only caught a small part of what she said. It was as if he didn't care about what she had said.

"Yes," Lucius answered her with a serious tone, conveying that he really meant what he said.

Leah shut her eyes in frustration. She didn't have time for all this. All she wanted was to get back home and forget about the fact that she had been kidnapped, manipulated, and even marked by a crazy pure-blood vampire who saw her as some kind of entertainment for his amusement.

Leah opened her eyes, revealing a mixture of emotions in her forest green eyes. It wasn't just anger anymore. There was also fear, sadness, and betrayal. She couldn't believe that someone she had started to trust had turned out to be her worst nightmare. She felt like a fool for letting her guard down and allowing herself to be taken in by his charming facade.

A sigh escaped Lucius's lips as he stood up from the couch. Leah had to crane her neck to look up at his face due to their close proximity and height difference.

"I know you heard what I said," Leah said firmly. She wasn't making a request; she was giving him an order.

"You're not leaving this place," Lucius responded, his voice sounding cold, yet still measured, betraying his displeasure with her demand while also exhibiting his patience with her.

"You don't have any right to keep me here," Leah retorted, shaking her head and repeating, "You don't have any right to keep me here."

Lucius stared at her intently, his gaze piercing deep into her eyes as if searching for something, as if he was expecting to see a particular reaction in those green eyes glaring back at him.

"Fine. I'll tell someone to take you back," he said to Leah's surprise.

She narrowed her eyes, trying to gauge his expression for any hint of insincerity, but found none. Leah wasn't expecting Lucius to let her go so easily. She had anticipated a fight, but it seemed like he was being surprisingly reasonable - or so she thought.

Heading towards the wardrobe, she began to gather a few of her things. To her surprise, she noticed that Lucius even brought more of her belongings from her apartment to the manor than she had expected.

"But," Lucius said, causing Leah to stop what she was doing. "I will take your little witch friend in your place," he continued, his voice sounding like he was making a promise rather than a statement.

Leah's eyes widened in fear, and she spun around to face him.

"You... You can't do that, you won't," Leah said, disbelief in her voice.

"I can and I will. The only thing is that I won't be needing her alive," Lucius said, the side of his lips curving into a wicked smirk as he slowly strode closer to Leah.

"You know..." he said, tilting her chin up with his finger. "It has been a really long time since I last burnt a witch." Leah gasped in horror, her lips trembling slightly.

"How... How can you even think about doing something that barbaric to an innocent person. Ami didn't do anything to you." Leah said in a low voice.

"Oh she didn't. But who said I was trying to punish her," Lucius said, as he slowly rubbed his thumb on Leah's chin.

If it had been anything else, Leah would have mustered the courage to challenge him. But how could she, when he was discussing the unthinkable act of killing her best friend? As she gazed into those unwavering ocean blue eyes, she knew that she had to do something... Any thing at all.

"What is it you want?" Leah managed to ask, her voice barely audible.

She didn't know how he knew about Ami but right now that didn't even matter. What truly mattered was finding a way to reason with this man, no, he was past reasoning, she had to comply with whatever he wanted.

Lucius leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear, causing Leah's heart to skip a beat not in fear but something else. She felt a shiver run down her spine as his lips grazed her skin, sending a wave of electric shock through her body.

"I want you," he whispered, his voice gentle yet possessive.

Leah's heart shuddered at the sound of his request. She had anticipated that he might say those words, but she didn't expect his words to sound so commanding, as if he was claiming her as his own and there was no question about it.

"You... You can't have me," She replied, her voice quivered as she responded, her words sounding more like a self-reassurance than a statement.

Lucius pulled away from her, his fingers trailing down to play with her hair. His intense gaze remained fixed on her.

"Then I will do what I said before. I'm sure your friend would be a good screamer as she burns," Lucius said, his voice cold and calculated.

With those words, he turned and began to leave the room,

"Wait!" Leah called out to stop him from leaving.

The corners of his lips curved into a quick smirk which disappeared almost immediately, before he turned to face her.

Leah bit her lips in frustration, before staring at him. "I'll stay." She said weakly.

Challenging Lucius was no longer an option. She was very sure he would kill Ami without even batting an eyes and still keep her here.

Lucius intelligent eyes studied her face for a brief moment before he nodded and walked towards the door, leaving the room and Leah to her thoughts.

Leah made her way to the bed, her legs feeling weak as she slumped down onto it, in a sitting position.

Those words, 'I want you,' continued to echo in her mind over and over again. It felt as if Lucius's voice had been imprinted in her head, refusing to fade away, like she was meant to remember those words forever.

The memory of what she had witnessed yesterday replayed in her mind like a haunting nightmare. Though her vision had been blurred and distorted, she could still recall how Lucius had brutally torn through that male vampire's throat without hesitation.

Everything was becoming clearer to her now: Lucius's actions, his words, even his behavior with her.

'He is obsessed with me,' Leah concluded to herself.

...

Lucius walked into the expansive library, his footsteps echoing in the quiet space. He strolled through the aisles of bookshelves. His eyes scanned through the spines of each book, searching for something in particular.

Lucius wasn't usually the type to visit the library, as he wasn't much of a reader. However, he had something very important to verify, something that had been nagging at his mind for several days now.
