Faolán was feeling suffocated with pain after listening to the audio recording of Alanna talking to someone about how unimportant he was to her. He felt rejected and, for a werewolf, that was extremely painful. Zander entered the room at that exact moment.
"Faolán!" Zander stuck his head out of the Alpha's room and screamed for help. Hannibal arrived there in a short time and gave a tranquilizer to Faolán, who refused to speak, only maintaining a blank stare after the medication took effect. The pain he felt was not just physical, but emotional.
