She looked around quietly, having finished her work, and gently lowered herself onto the sofa.
"Nice place," she thought again.
Getting inside hadn't been difficult.
She had told the Hall Man that she had lost the key to apartment 56.
"I didn't know Mr. Kesley lived with someone," the old man had said.
"Of course not, I'm just visiting." She had replied, flashing a sexy smile.
"Oh. How come you lost the key? Anyway, here's the spare. Return it when you're through." The old man had generously offered.
"Thanks." She had said, smiling more sweetly as she took the offered key.
She had used the elevator, then opened Kesley's apartment.
After taking a cursory look inside, she had duplicated the key, then returned it.
She was all smiles for the Hall Man.
That was why, when she came back this night, she walked by, very familiar.
The night was very young, and the detective wouldn't come home anytime soon: she had a long wait ahead.
