Dao Breaching Divinity

Tian Wudi, the self-proclaimed prophet with a golden glowing hand that exudes divine presence, was preparing for the biggest sermon of his life in London. He was all set to spread his message and the love of God to the world when a bolt of lightning struck him on a clear and sunny day. Talk about a shocking turn of events! As he opened his eyes, he realized that he had been transmigrated to another world. But what was even more shocking than the lightning strike was the revelation that his golden hand was nothing more than a mere dao bone, and he was no god after all! To add insult to injury, the "divine presence" he had felt was just Qi - a simple energy force that he and others had mistakenly taken for something more profound. Feeling like a complete fool, Tian Wudi decided to leave his old life and beliefs behind and embark on a journey of self-discovery in this new world. As he explored this strange and exciting land, he couldn't help but laugh at his own naivety. Who knew that getting struck by lightning could be such a humbling experience?

Chapter 13: Bye!

Wudi crashed into a tree and coughed up a mouthful of blood. He waved at the two groups and said, "Bye!" before beginning to run. Bosheng was retreating to Jiang Feng's side when he nearly tripped at what Wudi did. Jiang Feng was also shocked and screamed, "Get him!" Teacher Liang subconsciously grabbed her thigh and was also shocked. When Wudi waved his hand, he had waved the Medallion in his hand. It seemed he grabbed it when pushing teacher Liang out of the way.

Bosheng looked at Teacher Liang with greed in his eyes but was conflicted. He wanted to capture her but knew they needed the Medallion. The only one in their group that could stop Teacher Liang was Jiang Feng, so he couldn't chase after Wudi. Cursing under his breath, Bosheng chased after Wudi. After hesitating for a second, the cultivator who took the pill also followed after the duo.

Teacher Liang knew that Wudi purposely took the Medallion to split their group and give them a fighting chance. She needed to fight Jiang Feng and hold him off for as long as possible. Everything was up to Wudi at this point. If Wudi died too quickly, then Bosheng and the other Thousand Poison sect disciples would rejoin the fight, and they'd all be dead. Jiang Feng was worried, so he told two others to chase after them. He had the same thoughts as Teacher Liang and knew that if Wudi died, they'd quickly come back and finish the rest up. The two nodded and chased after the three.

The fight immediately broke out afterwards. Wudi ran with all his might, incorporating his Light Reversing Mortal Intent into his movement and was moving faster than ever before. Even so, he felt the two behind him getting much closer and knew things couldn't continue like this for long. Wudi ran into a stream of water running upside the mountain. He jumped across and smashed a palm into the ground as he landed to leave a clear track in the ground and took to heavy steps forward as if he couldn't regulate himself.

Wudi then turned around and hid behind a tree, circulating his martial intent to stay hidden. Bocheng appeared at the other side of the stream and said, "The brat went across the stream; it looks like he's injured from my attack," as he pointed at the deep imprints in the ground. The other disciple from the poison sect looked at the imprints and said, "We've got the brat now," and they both jumped to cross the water. It was right then that Wudi jumped out, and his fist turned resplendent. Wudi was right in front of where Bocheng was about to land, and Bocheng slightly covered his eyes but smiled sinisterly as he sent qi into his feet to stomp down on Wudi.

As Bocheng landed hard on the ground, he realized that he had hit nothing. He looked over and saw the other disciple floating in the water with a hole in his chest. However, Wudi was shockingly nowhere to be seen. Bocheng looked into the water but couldn't see anything. He was pissed and exclaimed, "Where the fuck did you go?"

Bocheng then thought about the situation and said, "I clearly saw him approach us and he sent a punch at Dengyu. How could he just disappear after… Wait, his intent wouldn't be at that level already, would it?" Dengyu was the disciple who was now floating in the water. Despite having a much higher cultivation realm than Wudi, Bocheng looked around warily and felt that he would definitely know if Wudi had run away, which meant that he was nearby.

It was at this time that Teacher Liang was having a slight meltdown. Jiang Feng was laughing and saying, "It won't be long before he's dead. Once the others are back, you're dead." Teacher Liang was in a deadlock with Jiang Cheng, and the disciples behind them were also holding up well. Everyone was biding their time for reinforcements.

One side hoped that Wudi could stall those who chased him long enough for reinforcements to come, and the other side was waiting for Wudi to die and their men to come back. Teacher Liang composed herself and asked with squinted eyes, "Was Bocheng replaced, or.." Teacher Liang wasn't super close to Bocheng, but she had interacted with him quite a bit. They had spent nearly ten years together in the academy, and they had gone on many classes and missions together.

Laughing loudly, Jiang Cheng said, "Fatty Bo talks almost every day about how he is going to make you his woman. Now that this mission has fallen into our hands, he was the first to volunteer when he heard you were involved." Jiang Cheng couldn't stop laughing at the disgusted and betrayed look that Teacher Liang was showing.

Back on Bocheng's side, he stared at the area around him, wondering if Wudi had really gotten away. Bocheng was angry, but then suddenly laughed and said, "Wudi, if you can hear me, I'll tell you right now that I'm going to go back and use Liang however I like, so either show now and get this over with or you can come back after nursing your wounds and watch the show." Bocheng laughed hard enough to make his body shake, and the fat on his chin rippled.

It seemed like the perfect time to attack him, but Bocheng was extremely aware of the situation around him, waiting for Wudi to make a move. It was then that two figures came out of the tree line on the other side of the river. Looking over, Bocheng frowned at their speed, and the duo quickly noticed Dengyu's body in the water. Before they could jump across, Bocheng said, "Forget it, I'll come to you."

The two furrowed their brows, and one said, "We have to catch him. We can't lose the medallion." Bocheng looked at them angrily and said, "If I say we go back, we go back! If we capture the rest, then he'll have no choice but to show himself. He thinks he's smart by luring some of us away. We'll go back and have some fun first. He'll eventually show." The other two looked at each other with conflicting expressions but eventually nodded their heads. Bocheng gestured towards them and said, "Wait there, I'll get Dengyu's body."

Dengyu's body had slowly drifted over right near the bank of the river and was starting to head downstream. Bocheng was almost close enough to grab the body from the shore. Bocheng took the toes of his left foot and kicked them into the dirt of the riverbank and stepped on the edge of the riverbank with his right foot and reached across the water using his left foot as a support in the dirt.

His hand was just about to grab Dengyu's body when suddenly a hand reached through the hole in Dengyu's chest and grabbed Bocheng's arm. Bocheng was shocked, and he was pulled forward as he thought "Fuck!" Bocheng reached for his weapon with his free hand, but suddenly Dengyu's head blew up, and a fist continued from Dengyu's head going towards Bocheng's head as well.

The two Thousand Poison Sect disciples looked over in shock to see Bocheng pulled from the river bank as dirt went flying from where his foot was anchored, and a fist blew up Dengyu's and Bocheng's heads. Shocked at the turn of events, they forgot to react when Wudi jumped out of the water and began running.

Chapter two of the day is here, and while I aim to squeeze out one more, I can't promise anything. A big thank you to all the lovely readers out there. I hope you're enjoying the book as much as I'm enjoying writing it. Don't forget to drop me a line and let me know how it's going!
