Chapter 19
He stares out the window, not even bothering to reply. I kind of like the fact he feels so at ease around me he does this, being comfortable with the silence between us, but sometimes it grates on my nerves. Now's one of those times, where he's ignoring me and I can't handle it.
"You had fun, though," he suddenly says, and turns a face on me I can't quite read. "Partying the whole weekend and whatnot, going out clubbing, dressed to the nines."
What is this? Does he sound jealous? Fuck, he does sound jealous, but I'm reading way too much into it. "A friend had her birthday."
"Who, the girl all over you on those photos?"
Why is he even bothered by that? I can't help smirking, it warms me up inside that he's annoyed at those photos. There's nothing to them, though, Dani's a girl and I don't do girls.
"She's just a friend."
"Oh, I've seen the way they stare at you, those friends."
