Silverback

*BAM*

*BAM*

*BAM*

I blasted every monster that dared to stand in my way with ease, each strike pushing through its muscle and crushing its very being.

No matter how tough the monster was for people at my level, it couldn't stand in the way of my Force of Authority. The gravity alone is a force to be reckoned with. I am sure even level 3 monsters couldn't survive an engagement with me.

I was currently on the 10th floor of the dungeon, fully covered in mist. These floors are known to be extremely dangerous for level 1s due to the monsters residing in them.

The most noticeable monsters on these floors were Silverbacks, huge ape-like creatures with silver fur. They have exponential strength and are known to rip adventurers to pieces before killing them.

Another very dangerous monster is the Hard Armored, which spawns on the floor ahead of this one but is still known to be a very tough opponent for level 1 adventurers or an inexperienced level 2 that just leveled up.

I stopped moving further when I found myself surrounded by six orcs, heavy green creatures with pig-like appearances. They were tough opponents, but their lack of agility made them easy targets for people who specialized in dexterity and agility.

An adventurer could just use their speed to go around them and poke them until the monsters dropped from blood loss. But having six orcs teaming up on you is something that no sole level 2 adventurer could survive without a miracle.

The first orc, with a huge bat club in its right hand, swung at me from the back. I sensed the upcoming attack and dodged it by doing a backflip.

BOOM

I crushed that orc as a powerful force of gravity pushed down on its head. The orc instantly fell to the ground like it was as light as paper, and its head exploded like a melon. Blood covered the other orcs, who seemed to be angrier now.

The five remaining orcs charged at me at once. I jumped at the one directly in front of me. Another orc swung its heavy weapon at me but instead hit the head of its brethren. The orc died instantly as the heavy blunt weapon slammed through its skull, leaving only bones to fall before disappearing into black smoke.

The moment that orc died, I pushed the swinging orc away and then proceeded to crush it from the sides. The orc dropped its weapon from the pure pain I inflicted, and its body deformed and then exploded from the pressure.

The three orcs that were still alive grunted in fear and attacked me carelessly. All three of them died to my powerful crush.

Six monster cores dropped onto the ground, and the entire dungeon floor was covered in blood. The monster bodies may disappear, but their blood takes some time.

I picked up the six monster cores and put them inside my backpack, which was slowly getting full. I had to find some way to store these monster cores if I wanted to advance deeper into the dungeon.

But for that, I need to feed some monsters these monster cores and evolve them into more powerful monsters to fight. Fighting them could mean that I get higher excelia, but it comes with a higher risk, of course.

I don't know if anyone has ever tried this method of grinding, but it was foolish for pretty much everyone to try. And I was that damn fool who would try it.

Passing from the 10th to the 11th floor, I was met with even thicker mist that now covered even more of the floor. These floors started popping up with more dangerous monsters, which meant that no level 1s are recommended to explore it.

My goal right now is to find an infant dragon and feed it monster cores. After it evolves, I'll fight it to the death for high excelia gain.

That is if I don't die in the meantime.

ROAAAAR

A powerful roar came from the thick mist that surrounded me. I stopped for a moment and waited for my new opponent to arrive.

THUD THUD

Powerful and heavy steps shook the ground. For a moment, I couldn't notice anything odd approaching me until a large figure appeared in front of me.

It was a Silverback, a huge ape-like creature with glowing red eyes and powerful hands that could rip people to pieces with ease. This monster was categorized as level 2, not anything I could handle easily.

The monster stopped in front of me and breathed heavily with anger, anger for every living thing from the surface. Anger induced by its mother, the dungeon's sole anger for the Gods and surface dwellers.

PHEW

I pushed the monster away with my ability. It flew away, hitting the dungeon walls and making them crack upon impact.

The Silverback stood up with anger in its eyes. My impact seemed to make it weaker but angrier at the same time. It roared in anger and charged right towards me. It swung its heavy fist at my face, but I dodged it in time.

I rolled to the left side and retreated a few meters behind it. However, the monster didn't want to give me time to focus, and it charged once more at me.

This time it used its powerful legs to jump, and I nearly got myself hit. Luckily for me, I was able to dodge in time and jump onto a rock that gave me higher ground in this fight.

The monster roared in its primal desire to kill surface dwellers and charged right at me. But this time, I had enough of it and used my ability to push it away.

PHEW

I refused to give the Silverback time to get up as I pushed it away and proceeded to spam my crushing ability.

The monster was crushed into the ground and flew from each hit. I played with it until the monster poofed into black smoke, leaving only its monster core on the ground.

'I have to stop playing around and go deeper to have a proper challenge. These level 2 monsters aren't going to help me grind at all,' I thought and turned away. However, the dungeon seemed persistent in keeping me busy as it spawned a large group of monsters around me.

Silverbacks, Orcs, and Hard Armored surrounded me. There were around fifteen of them in total, and all of them roared in their desire to rip me apart.

The dungeon noticed my easy grind and decided to make it harder. I am sure of it since the monster spawn rate is abnormal when I'm the one in question. I am sure that no other adventurer at my level or one above would be able to survive this abnormal ambush from the dungeon.

I forced a smile on my face because the dungeon desperately attempted to strike me down. It didn't know, however, that my beloved Azathoth was backing me up.

"Come and get it, you bastards," I spoke out, and the monsters around me started charging at me all at once.
