I Need a Medic Bag!

"You two ready?" I asked as I stood up from my couch after both Mikan and Florence returned to my house after receiving my message and leaving the general hospital from their volunteer services which allows them to come and go as they please.

"I have everything we need." Mikan said with a nod while Florence affixed her gloves before giving a nod.

"I am fully prepared to give emergency surgery at a moments notice." Florence said as she patted her medical bags on her sides to which I nodded.

"Good, this will be a similar situation to the last time, the patients body has severe abdominal injuries with lacerations leaving deep wounds that if not treated in time will lead to her death due to blood loss, our goal is to save her at all cost, understood?" I said to which they nodded, though before I pulled out my phone, Serenity appeared before us.

"Master, I would like to come with you on this quest of yours." She asked as she was linked with me and thus new about this quest already.

"Hmm, I guess it should be fine, after all time will stop here while we complete the quest, and even after it's done it shouldn't be much of an issue to spend time pre-WW1 Japan after all." Besides it's the weekend and one of Japans National Holidays is on Monday so we had a three day weekend.

"From what I recall during my time, this was the era in which Japan switched from being an isolationist empire and slowly began to enter the era of westernization due to the interference of the Americans in the mid 19th century and by the time of the early 20th century they started to incorporate their technology and culture such as clothing in the form of suits compared to the traditional wear of Japanese Yukata's." Florence said remembering a bit of world history that she knew about during her time being alive in the early 20th century.

"Correct, though I don't think we will land that far away from the location of where they are, Florence, do you think you can carry Mikan to our patient?" I ask to which Florence nods.

"Although I look like this and can speak normally with no issues I still am a berserker class servant and as such it's easy for me to carry my master on my back." She says before proceeding to crouch down as Mikan goes over to her and allows her to carry her on her back along with the weight of Mikans dimensional 5m^3 Medic Bag that I bought for her that has all the necessary equipment to be its own mobile surgery room on the go, though obliviously its light weight or else you would be hard pressed to carry it.

"Alright everyone's all set?" To which they nod back, "Then let's go!" I say before pressing the teleport button before heading back to the past and into the world of Demon Slayer.

(3rd Person POV)

"Onee-chan! Hang on okay!! I'll call for help okay?!?!" Shinobu Koucho, Future Insect Hashira said to her dying sister who was slowly losing more and more blood with every second.

"Shinobu…. It's fine…. I'm not going to make it….. I can feel my body growing colder by the second….." Kanae Kocho, the Current Flower Hashira, said to Shinobu as she realized that it was too late for her now.

"No! No please! Don't leave me like this…." Shinobu begged and pleaded for her sister to not give up but she couldn't stop the bleeding as more and more blood was seeping into her clothes as tears began to fall incessantly from her eyes.

"Shinobu…. I'm sorry…. I'm going to be going on ahead to see our parents soon…. Shinobu…. Please…. Try and live a normal life…. For my sake….." she said as she was gasping for breath as she could feel the claws of death begin to steal more and more of her life force.

'I just wished I had more time to be with my sister.' Was the one thought that passed through Kanae's mind as she hated the thought of leaving her only living relative alone after her death.

*Rustle Rustle Rustle*

Suddenly they heard a rustling in the underbrush nearby to which Shinobu grabbed her blade only for Kanae to barely reach up and stop her making her turn back in surprise.

"It's not…. Him…." Is all she could say before they saw three people exit from the underbrush with one carrying the other on the back.

They were wearing odd clothes though one appeared to be a foreigner but what stuck out to the sisters was the symbol of the Red Cross, something that by this point in history had become synonymous with first aid and medicine.

"Good, we made it, Mikan, Florence, prepare emergency treatment! Serenity! Watch for any of those demonic bastards." The man said to the two women and a hidden third women who began to jump across the tree tops who appeared to be a Shinobi of some sorts.

"Don't worry, we are here to keep your sister alive, it might be a leap of faith to put your faith in us but if don't do anything now she won't live to see the sunrise." The man who appeared to be in only his mid-teens while wearing a loose fitting white/grey yukata top and black Hakama pants with tabi socks and sandals on, said to Shinobu who was still being cautious.

"Thank….. you…. Kami-sama…. Granted my wish…." She said to which Shinobu worriedly held her sisters hand that was beginning to grow cold as she let the man kneel down beside her.

"Ah, you could say that." He said as he held out his hand as a green spiral energy began to flow from out of his body and into Kanae's body, stabilizing her wounds and halting the bleeding.

"Let us handle the rest, all this as done is stopped her from bleeding, but her wounds still need to be properly sealed and treated before we can bring her to a real place to rest and recover." I tell Shinobu as her sister closes her eyes, though before she began to freak out she noticed she was still breathing but her breath was shallow as she had fallen into a slumber.

"Mikan, is the operating table ready?" The man asks as he turns over to the woman in the pink outfit who nods as they finished erecting a massive barrier tent to keep out sunlight to let them have a better time at operating on someone as a result.

"All set, Now please gently put her on the operating table and we can get started." She said to which the man easily lifted up the weakened Kanae Kocho before bringing her over the Operating table as his green energy focus more on the minor injuries and stabilizing any and all the major injuries throughout her body as a result.

"Don't worry, we are the best when it comes to saving someone's life in situations like this, but we will need you to stay out of our way while we begin to operate to save her life alright?" The man said to Shinobu as she stared into his eyes while seeing the serious look on his face.

She slowly nodded before stepping back and away to lean up against a nearby tree to sit down as she watched the morning sun begin to rise as the threat of demon attacks during the day had subsided for now.

"How does it look?" She heard the man ask to which the woman dressed in red responded, "Her Descending Aorta had been cut open along with many slashes across the abdominal area along with her large and small intestines being cut up in multiple areas, this girl is strong, any other human that suffered wounds like these would have died in thirty seconds of them all being opened, she must had been able to forcibly slow her heart beat in order for her to survive this long." The woman says in a rather direct and to the point way but with a clear bit of surprise and amazement in her voice.

"How long we looking here?" He asked the question again to which Shinobu thought he was asking as whatever he was doing with the green light from his hands might not last that long.

"The wounds themselves aren't large it's more about the amount that need to be sealed up as I see 22 separate wounds on her organs with one of them being a major issue of a cut on her descending Aorta that helps supply the blood to the lower half of her body, but so long as nothing disturbs us, I would say 3 to 4 hours will be needed for surgery." She said before putting on a face mask to which the woman in pink did the same before putting one onto the man's face.

"Alright, let's get to work." He said and with that the battle to save Kanae Kocho's life had finally begun.
