Chung Ai is walking on the street with his backpack on, unaware of what he
is carrying. Nitte told Chung Ai that she needed him to carry stuff for her
because she didn't have enough pockets on her shorts to carry everything she
needed.
Chung Ai gladly agreed to let Nitte put whatever she needed in his backpack.
He believed she was just putting makeup and other female stuff in there.
Nothing special. Girls always have a lot of things, so Chung Ai didn't think
too much about it.
Actually, Chung Ai thought it was a sign that maybe Nitte was seeing him as
a boyfriend. Even though, they haven't really done anything. There hasn't even
been holding hands between them. No pecks on the cheeks either. Nitte did give
him a hug one time. Does a hug count as the first base?
Chung Ai has never really dated anyone or been with anyone. But boyfriends
carry stuff for girlfriends, right? Because, he has seen that in shopping malls
quite a few times, where a guy would carry a big purse for a girl when the girl
tries on clothes or tries on shoes.
Nitte also told Chung Ai:
"Just be on standby, don't walk too far from Treasure Island Hotel.
I'll call you."
"Sure."
But Chung Ai doesn't know that Nitte placed a compact bomb in his backpack
when they went to eat dinner. Earlier when they were in a buffet, Nitte had
quickly put the bomb in his backpack and activated it in an intricate way. The
clock would start ticking only if Chung Ai answers his mobile phone.
This means, if Nitte calls his phone and he answers it, that will start the
timer off.
They enjoyed the buffet, and Chung Ai was surprised to see Nitte eating a
lot more than himself.
"Can you get me some crab legs?" Nitte asked Chung Ai, "Oh, I
would need that tool for crab legs."
"You mean a crab leg cracker?" Chung Ai chuckled, and he thought
Nitte was cute for not knowing the name for the tool.
"Yes. That. Crab leg cracker."
Nitte asked for the seafood cracker for a reason. But that would depend on
what Jack and Bob could do later.

The metal seafood cracker is actually in her back pocket right now. When
Leif Eiriksson's giant hand blocks where she is going now, Nitte is a little
bit nervous that Leif could feel that metal tool in her very tight jean shorts.
"Ms. Nitte Hallow Horn! Don't leave just yet." Bob says to Nitte.
"Well, hello Bob. I was just asking where you are. I see you brought a
friend," Nitte nods to both Bob and Leif.
"Ms. Nitte Hallow Horn, why don't we go somewhere quiet and have a bit
of talk?" Bob says.
"I don't think you have time to chat, Bob. I just told Jack--"
"Bob! Nitte placed a bomb in Chung Ai's backpack. We need to find Chung
Ai!"
Before Nitte could finish her sentence, Jack also sees Bob and Leif in the
crowd, and rushes to tell them about Nitte's bomb.
Bob's face remains calm, "Well, Let me call Chung Ai and find out where
he is then."
"Uh uh uh," Nitte grins and wags her finger, "I will not call
Chung Ai if I were you!"
"Why not?"
"Because it will-- boom! Not right away, but it will."
They are shocked.
"I have designed the bomb activating program in a very fun way.
Exciting, too. If Chung Ai answers his phone, the bomb timer will start to
count down. And then you'll have 10 minutes left to defuse it. I think it's a
generous amount of time. This is just a practice. I don't know how much time
you'll have when you get to the real bomb."
"What the heck are you talking about? What real bomb?" Leif
Eiriksson apparently doesn't know anything about the bomb. But now, Leif is
warped into the situation, whether he likes it or not.
"Chung Ai!" Jack immediately starts to shout in the crowd, hoping Chung
Ai is somewhere nearby. But there are so many tourists. Even though Jack is
tall enough to stick out of the crowd, this is not efficient.
"Chung Ai!" Leif Eiriksson then also starts calling out the name.
Leif is much taller and his voice is much deeper. But still, there is no
response.
"This is not going to work. Even if Chung Ai hears us, he won't know
who is calling him and where it is coming from because of the crowd." Bob
says.
"F**k it!" Jack starts to run towards the pirate ship in the
Treasure Island Hotel's outdoor theater.
"What are you doing?" Leif yells.
There is a fence that divides the theater area from the viewing area. Does
Jack not see that? If he doesn't stop, he is going to run into it!
"Jack! Fence!" Nitte screams out loud, trying to warn him.
As Nitte finishes her screaming, Jack places both of his hands on the fence,
and then he takes one big leap, hurdling himself over the fence!
"Wow!!" The tourists notice Jack's action.
"Look at that!!"
"What's happening? Why is he jumping over?"
Jack has successfully landed on the other side of the fence, but not too
gracefully. He tumbled forward a little bit as he tries to regain his balance.
He straightens himself up, ignoring the obvious chatters behind him in the
crowd. Suddenly, Jack's phone is ringing in his pocket.
Panting hard, Jack reaches his hand down and picks the phone up. He can
answer the phone, right?
"Hello?"
It's Bob calling him.
"Jack, good thinking. Are you trying to find a mic connected to the
amplifiers?" Bob asks.
"Oh. I wasn't. I was just going to stand somewhere tall and shout. But
a microphone might work better." Jack scratches his head.
"Good. So, I think the main actor has a mic that always stays on. The
main pirate guy, do you see? The one with an eye patch?"
Jack looks around and peers. There is a guy with a red headband and an
eyepatch.
"Yeah, I see."
"Go borrow his mic. Don't hang up the phone yet. Just pick up the phone
again when you get to the mic." Bob says.
Jack then hoists himself up to a box and then jumps onto the ship. The
actors are all shocked, but try to continue their show.
But Nitte overhears Bob's instruction. She knows they are working to get Chung
Ai's attention.
Well, what's the fun of that? Nitte thought.
Nitte then takes her cell phone out and dials a call to Chung Ai.
Leif sees this and quickly reaches a hand out to try to grab her phone.
Nitte quickly jumps away from Leif. The phone starts ringing.
"God damn it!" Bob also tries to grab her phone.
But fortunately for Nitte, Chung Ai has been anxiously waiting for her phone
call that he picks the phone up right away at the first ring.
"Hello?" Chung Ai answers the phone.
"Shit!" Bob curses.
Bob then holds his phone up, "Jack! Chung Ai answers his phone. The
clock starts now. We have only 10 minutes."
Nitte laughs and then she speaks to the phone, "Dear Chung Ai. Why
don't you go inside somewhere to wait for me. Go to Caesar's Palace or the
Venetian. Or any place popular."
Nitte is now trying to direct Chung Ai away. Chung Ai might not hear Jack
using mic broadcasting a message if Chung Ai goes indoors.
