BIRTHDAY 1

The next two days was a Little what should we call it...well a workaholic day for Katherine and Mike.

They were literally bathing in work and didn't have much time for anything at all. After the exhausting day at work, Katherine drove Mike home were Jin and Jun were.

It was Friday which meant that, it was the end of work that week do she and Mike weren't gonna see until next Monday.

Finally reaching their destination, Mike got down from the car and so did Katherine as he then said to her, "It was a nice week Katherine, you proved yourself to me and I can't wait to work with you again next week."

He said and hearing that, Katherine smiled as she said, "Same with me sir, I'll take my Leave now with the boys. And see you soon."

Saying that, she went on ahead to get the boys and waved Annabel and Mike goodbye before making her way to the Car.

With them in, they drove off.

They got home some few hours later and upon getting home, Katherine made her way straight to the shower and the boys showered also.

Seated in her living room with her boy's, Katherine got a call and upon seeing the caller. Katharine smiled And she picked the call.

"Hay Ruby!" She said and hearing that, Ruby replied, "Hay Katherine, how you doing...and the birthday boys, I hope they aren't bugging you too much."

"No they aren't but they are sad that you won't be able to make it to their birthday...they wanted to celebrate it with you, sadly you aren't around." Katherine said and hearing that, Ruby sighed.

"I promise to make it up to them when I get back, I'll be back next week Tuesday, ok. So you guys should have fun, with or without me." She said with a smile.

"Well that won't be hard." Katharine said as a laugh escaped her lips and Ruby laughed along with her.

"Anyway, I'll talk to you later...I think it's time to get to bed if I wanna wake up early for the boys tomorrow." Katherine said and hearing that, Ruby said, "Ok then Katherine, talk to you later."

And with that, Katherine hanged up as she then said, "Ok boys, time for bed."

Meanwhile, inside his room, Mike could be seen typing somethings on his laptop but he was then interrupted by the cute voice of his daughter.

"Papa! Are you busy?" Annabella asked as she entered his room quietly.

And upon seeing her, Mike smiled sweetly as he said, "Yes baby but I'm not busy for you. Come and tell me what you need."

He said and hearing that, Annabella quickly went to Mike's side and he Carried her and placed her gently on his lap, "Well papa, I wanna ask if Mama can make it for my birthday tomorrow?"

She said softly and hearing that, Mike said, "Birthday?"

"Yes Papa! Don't tell me you forgot that my birthday is tomorrow." Annabella said with watery eyes.

Hearing that, Mike quickly said, "I did baby, I'm sorry... I've been busy with work lately that I forgot that tomorrow is your birthday. Say, why don't we go out tomorrow, just the two of us."

Mike said and hearing that, Annabella smiled slightly as she said, "Will mommy join us?"

"I don't know mushroom, but I'm sure she would want to have fun with us but if she is has some important work, she might not make it." Mike said to his daughter knowing very well that Rena was not gonna make it to her birthday and would just make up a stupid excuse why she couldn't make it.

"Ok pap! I should go to bed now.* Annabella said as she got down from her dad's lap and waved him goodnight before leaving his room.

With Annabella gone, Mike just sighed. He has been Soo busy that he had even forgotten about his daughter's birthday, 'What type of father I'm I?"

He thought as he relaxed on his chair, he has to make it up to Annabella..she deserved more than she got.

She was just a young child who just wanted the Love and care of her parents, he was trying all his best to give her the love that she deserved but he wasn't enough.

He needed a mother for her, not Rena but a real mother. Like Katherine!
