Breakfast

The next morning, Daniel and Jaden, who had been in the kitchen for some time, chuckled together, like a warm family that Jaden had wanted all along without telling his mother at all.

If in the past for him the presence of his mother in his life was more than enough, now Jaden wants to be a little selfish, where he hopes to have a complete family.

Can he dream like that? Will anyone ever blame him? That's what popped into his head right now.

"Daddy."

"Hum, what's wrong baby?" Daniel whispered as he looked at his son.

Jaden quickly shook his head and hugged Daniel tightly.

'What's with him? Is there something wrong with him?' Daniel monologues in his heart when he sees Jaden's attitude who suddenly calls out to him, but after that, he looks at himself closely before ending up hugging him tightly.

"You can tell me whatever you are feeling right now, I won't understand your thoughts if you don't tell me."

The sentence that Daniel tried to say in order to persuade his son to tell him what he really wanted him.

Oh, come on Daniel isn't the very sensitive human Jaden expected.

"Daddy, are you just coming for a bit and are going to leave us back?"

A question that finally escaped Jaden's tiny mouth.

This time Daniel was speechless. He couldn't easily give Jaden an answer, basically, he had various considerations for the decision.

He had to keep a cool head to answer the question from Jaden.

"Does Jaden want to live with Daddy?" asked Daniel back asking his son.

Jaden looked at Daniel closely as he considered the right answer for Daniel.

Before long, Jaden gave Daniel a soft nod.

"Jaden wants to live with Daddy, as long as Mommy comes too."

A smile Daniel gave to Jaden.

"Does Jaden want to help Daddy get Mommy to come live with us?"

Jaden blinked a few times and nodded his head playfully.

For some reason, he felt so much excited to hear Daniel's words asking for his help.

"What should Jaden do Daddy?"

Again, Daniel smiled at Jaden who looked very enthusiastic.

Before Daniel had time to instruct Jaden on what to do, the two of them first saw Jenni who came to them.

"We'll continue our conversation later," Daniel whispered in a half-whisper in Jaden's ear.

The little boy of course nodded his head in agreement with Daniel's words.

"Looks like you two seem to be getting along very well, or maybe you guys have made your stronghold now?" Jenni mumbled as she tried to hold back her laughter.

Not to mention when she saw Jaden's nervousness and felt bad for Jenni's words.

"W-we just ma—"

"We only made breakfast for us this morning, and since Jaden and I were the first to wake up, that's why we didn't wake you up, and besides, you seem tired because you must have been busy with your gallery a while ago, right?" Daniel whispered, straightening Jaden's words who looked nervous.

Jenni couldn't help but smile and nod her head.

She was glad that the two of them weren't awkward at all between the son and the father, who had only seen each other a few times.

Is it possible because of the blood that flows in Jaden, that her favorite son can immediately get to know Daniel?

That's what Jenni immediately thought.

"So, are you guys done cooking?" asked Jenni in the end who immediately took a stool at the dining table.

"Of course, we have finished cooking it, baby can you set the cutlery on the table?"

Jaden gave Daniel a quick nod.

The boy really became obedient to Daniel. Jenni alone who was still in her position could only be astonished to see this.

'Extraordinary! Why are they really compact? I won't be knocked out, will I?' Jenni's monologue is in mind when Jaden becomes submissive to Daniel.

"Don't worry, since Jaden is our son, nothing will be removed from Jaden's heart, Jen" whispered Daniel who suddenly was beside Jenni while patting Jenni's shoulder with an empty hand.

'Gosh, what a shame!' Jenni screamed excitedly in her heart because she felt caught red-handed by Daniel.

"Since when can you read my mind?" Jenny half grumbled.

Just a shrug Daniel gave Jenni.

The atmosphere in the dining room seemed very solemn and calm enjoying their breakfast.

The three of them clearly look happy like a complete family.

Ting Tong

"Woah, looks like this morning you have guests too?" Daniel whispered, quite surprised when he heard the bell ring.

Jaden took a deep breath.

"Don't worry Daddy, the bell is none other than Mommy's two best friends who are always there for Mommy," said Jaden, who seemed to immediately know who the guest was referring to.

Daniel furrowed his brows in confusion. It took Daniel a while to digest it.

Oh, come on, doesn't Daniel remember Jenni's two best friends?

"Let me open the door, mom," Jaden said quickly.

"That's okay?" Jenni asked Jaden.

Very casually the boy gave Jenni a hand gesture that made an 'o' shape.

It didn't take long for the little boy to sprint towards his apartment door.

"Jaden, where's your Mommy? There's important news!" excited Axelle who had just arrived in a hurry.

"Hey! Can you not run?" shouted Edward who did not justify his friend's attitude.

"Jen... Jen!"

"Mommy is in the dining room, uncle" Jaden said as he twirled his eyes lazily walking behind Axelle.

Axelle, who was about to scream opened his mouth suddenly silent when he found Daniel who was eating together at the dining table in Jenni's apartment.

" Daniel?" Axelle stuttered for a moment.

"Morning Axelle, Morning Edward, would you like to have breakfast together?"

It's different with Axelle who stutters, now Edward can only take a deep breath and exhale slowly before nodding his head.

After all, Edward thought there was nothing wrong with having breakfast together, and besides, he hadn't filled the emptiness of his stomach this morning.

"I almost forgot that you are Jenni's college friends, I should have made sure from the start whether you knew Jenni's whereabouts or not."

The sentence that Daniel uttered, of course, was like a subtle satire for Axelle and Edward at the same time.

"Daddy knows uncle Edward and uncle Axelle well?"

"Of course, baby, there's no way Daddy doesn't know them."

Now it was Jaden's turn to be busy folding his arms across his chest, staring scornfully at Edward and Axelle.
