Prologue

It was a warm sunny Sunday afternoon. I was sitting at home watching TV, while drinking some beer. While watching TV, I was just thinking about life and everything that I have done in the 44 yrs I have been on this Earth. It was Boring.

I was born in a normal middle class family, I went to an above average school, I studied, played soccer, made friends, got a girlfriend, got a normal job, and got married. I earned enough to save for any kid I might have, supported my family, bought a house and worked my ass off in a 9-5 Job. It was Boring.

I always felt out of place in a world where everyone was running after money or power. I felt I had no aims, no unique thoughts, no close friends, nothing to give a real thought about. It was Boring.

I guess the only past time I had was reading - which I did as much as possible, on any subject I could. Why am I telling you this? Well, so that you would know where I came from, and understand that it is the journey that matters, not the start, not the end. As on my 44th birthday, it all changed.

I got up after watching TV, and went to get my laptop from my room, in the 3 bedroom flat I owned. I had decided that I would order a new game for my birthday, and went online to check it out. No one was home at the time as I had taken a leave for my birthday, but my wife still had to go to work.

While looking through the online portal for games, I suddenly felt a slight tightness near my heart. I did not think much about it as it had happened before too, and I knew it would go away soon, oh how wrong I was. The tightness turned into pain, and the pain started to grow towards my neck, arms and back. I knew this was not a good sign and quickly got my phone out from the pocket and dialed for the hospital. While pressing the last number, my phone slipped out of my hand while I lost control of my body, while blacking out intermittently. As I fell on the floor, knowing this would most likely be the end for me, all I could think was "It was Boring".
