Shen Wang's Plant Massacre

The sun's crimson red light rays dawned upon a dusty grey house, the was surrounded by a small garden which was then caged in by long ashen grey stone fences.

The garden looked lifeless, like a dry corpse which had been abandoned in a forest.

As the rays of crimson sunlight greeted the insides of the house through the window, a young man wearing pale blue clothes opened his eyes and yawned.

It was Shen, after thinking about the lecture that Elder Huang gave him and introspecting till late, he fell asleep.

Although cultivators needed less sleep than mortals, Shen's mind hadn't fully adapted yet. He felt natural about sleeping 6-7 hours every night, thus it wasn't exactly a physical need but more of a mental restriction.

His teeth felt dirty and needed to be brushed, however he didn't have the luxury of 'toothpaste' in this world, this irritated his mood a bit.

Furthermore his body felt a little stiff so he wanted to do some stretches and drink some cold water.

With a short plan in his mind, Shen jumped out of bed after a little less than half a second.

" There's still 17 hours left since Elder Huang told me to take a break for a day,"

Shen pondered what to do next as he started to slowly walk towards the main door.

From his memories, he knew that there was a garden surrounding this old coot's hut, however calling it a garden was an overstatement. This place was technically a plant graveyard.

Since he didn't have anything to do, he decided to check out the ghosted garden, just how bad could it be? He walked inside without a problem when darkness was cloaking the forest during the thunderstorm, it wasn't going to be a problem.

Thinking so, Shen opened the crusty wooden door of the old cottage and looked at the expanse as his eyes widened and his jaw dropped a little, looking at the scene he could only mutter a single word after a little less than half a second.

" Wow... "

He had to admit, this scenery had exceeded his expectations of disappointment!

The way this place looked even made a graveyard look like a 5 star Inn.

There were weeds growing everywhere, grass was overgrown, the bushes were overgrown and looked like a thousand pound man laying down on the mattress of his own fat.

However the most annoying part was that every single leaf was brown.

There was dust everywhere, no wonder he had been feeling so crusty and itching all night.

There was dirt all over the small pond located in a corner, the water had become so stagnant that it had taken a murky yellow color, and the lotus was literally dying in the middle.

This old geezer never cleaned or maintained his property and nor did the previous Shen.

Although these things didn't harm Shen in any way, it was just ....

It just felt so f**ing annoying!

How could you cultivate with a peaceful mind when you're living in such a dumpster, not even a dog would poop in this place.

There was just dust in the air, and this was a cultivator's residence?

Aren't cultivators supposed to live better lives than even mortal emperors.

And that's how Shen decided what he was going to do in the next 17 hours, and with new-found determination a roar erupted from Shen's throat.

" I'm going to clean this hellhole so that I can cultivate in peace!"

As soon as he said these words, as if the heavens were listening to him something came flying and hit his head with the force of a truck which was followed by another deafening roar coming from the house.

" THEN FUCKING DO IT SILENTLY YOU LOUD BRAT! LET ME ENJOY MY MORNING IN PEACE "

This angered Shen thus he tactfully retreated from the enclosure and started walking straight in a random direction.

Since this was early morning and the sun was only barely visible there were dew drops formed on the trees, as Shen kept walking a few of these cold droplets landed on his face giving him a sense of freshness.

After walking for about a kilometer, Shen found a small cave.

It wasn't exactly a cave, but a cavity in a tree's trunk, although it wasn't too big, it was enough to accommodate two people.

Shen went inside and started typing something in mid-air.

/gamemode creative

e

As soon as he pressed  e a small screen opened in front of his eyes with a list of materials, Shen kept scrolling and took out a few materials.

Flint and steel x1

String x1

Sticks x11

Diamond Axe x1

Diamond Hoe x1

Bucket x1

Equipped with these, Shen took one of the sticks and used the axe to chip away at it's breath.

After a while, the stick became thinner and thinner and it's flexibility rose, from one stick he made 8 in a time span of 10 minutes.

Although it was hard to divide something so thin, Shen was already a cultivator which have him better vision. Furthermore his mind could think infinitely fast, he assumed infinitely as he himself didn't know the limit of his mind's speed.

Thus even though there was a delay of a little less than half a second he was able to perfectly tell his body where to use the axe, and how much strength to put in it, although there were a few failures at first, he soon understood the best method go about it.

After repeating this process for 8 more times, he had around a hundred flexible sticks.

Shen grabbed all of them in one hand and inserted a stick in the middle, which he then fixated in one place with his left hand.

He then used his right hand to tie the string around it and boom.

He now had a fully functional broom.

But when he started thinking about it, he came to a conclusion that he would need another broom to clean that dust-hole called house.

Thus with another withdrawal from the inventory he spent another hour making another broom.

Now equipped with two brooms, a diamond axe, a diamond hoe, a bucket and a flint and steel Shen came back to Elder Huang's residence.

He had spent a little more than 2 hours doing all of this and now had about 15 hours left to himself before going back to Elder Huang.

Looking at the dry leaves, Shen had a malicious and malevolent smile on his face. As if sensing his intentions the dry leaves and grass seemed to shake  a little.

With his right hand Shen started hacking the dry trees, with his tempered limbs he started slaughtering the already dead trees.

As the big hegemons of the garden fell, the shrubs couldn't help but imagine the pain it would suffer under that demon axe wielder.

However Shen had different plans, with a tranquil gaze. He pulled out the flint and steel, and the poor shrubs fell into a fiery misery.

Concealed within the stone fences the screams of the dry shrubs were never heard, after an hour of suffering the poor dead shrubs couldn't take it any longer and were burned off from existence leaving only black ash as the reminder of their suffering.

Shen watched all of this with indifference in his eyes, he was like an ancient war god who had ascended from hell to mercilessly slaughter the dead plants.

The ashes scattered on the ground and as if mourning for their lost subordinates, the grass looked like it wanted to shred Shen to ashes but Shen paid it no heed as his hand grabbed his hoe.

With the hoe in his hand, Shen became unstoppable.

With an unyielding might he started hoeing the ground with his hoe and turned the earth upside down, burying the ashen remains of the trees and the shrubs under it.

It was as if it never existed, the grass was also buried under the earth.

5 hours had already passed since Shen began his slaughter.

Not a single plant survived, not a single proof remained of the plants who had once lived here.

First they died of malnutrition and dehydration,

Then they died under the hands of a fire demon with axes and hoes.

Shen was standing under the sun, the sun shone with brilliant white light which indicated that it was already noon.

He was not wearing anything, as he had taken everything off so that he wouldn't have to wash his robes himself.

His dragon looked at the earth and his face looked at the sky as he was in deep thought.

hmm~

The Noon Of Axes and Hoes...

What a befitting name, I slaughtered the old, burned the young and buried the infants.

Shen's tranquil and narcissistic gaze looked at the aftermath of what he had done. He had no regrets, he loved every moment of it.

He still remembered the orange-yellow flames, burning away the plants.

However.

He still had one opponent left, he couldn't cut it, he couldn't burn it nor could he dig it.

This one surpassed all of his previous opponents, but he still had a good plan on how he was going to defeat it.

Shen clenched his fists for a moment before grabbing a bucket.

Yes, he was going to weaken his opponent.

20 liters at a time, he would slowly weaken it before filling it up with his own water.

Shen looked at determination at the murky yellow pond and rushed towards it.

He filled a bucket with water before realizing something, he had no idea where to get more water or dump it.

He could only rely on a single trump card he had left, thus he decided to use it and started screaming.

" Elder please help me, how do I clean the pond!"

" Hmph, I gave you time to digest all the information I gave you and repent on your mistake and you're here wasting time!"

A loud voice thundered from the inside of the small cottage present at the middle, then a small box was thrown towards Shen from the inside.

" Just put this pill in the water."

" Thank You Elder Huang!"

" Just finish and meditate you little twerp otherwise I'll beat you up!"

Without replying or paying any heed to the last sentence, Shen directly opened the small box he had received.

On the inside was a small pill with a whitish tint on it, As soon as he put it in the water it started absorbing all the impurities present inside the pond.

In just a few minutes, the water turned so clean that he could literally see through the water. Even the lotus seemed to enjoy it in the middle.

After this, Shen took some hours to flatten the dug up soil with a large piece of rock he found nearby.

With this he was left with 6 hours from his 1 day break.

After enquiring from elder Huang and referencing his memories Shen departed to a nearby lake where he spent time bating and eating golden carrots from his creative inventory.

The last 6 hours were spent in a flash as he stood in front of Elder Huang's room with a serious expression. All the casual attitude from his face had vanished.

It was time to work of his cultivation, he had spent enough time fooling around.
