Ch 10: Visiting the Talents Hall and Learning Powerful Skills

After reaching the talent hall, Li Feng immediately went to see what kinds of books were available. These books were not very valuable and there were a lot of their copies present in the sect. But still if a student wanted to take them home, they needed to buy them with contribution points. But everyone was at least allowed to read these books for free as long as the books did not leave the talent hall.

The talent hall was divided in several sections and each section had the fundamental books from a certain field of extra art. Alchemy was the most famous field among the disciples but Li Feng was actually most interested in array formations.

Whenever he read cultivation novels in his previous life, he had always found the concept of arrays to be very interesting, so that was the very first section that he checked out.

Li Feng was a fast reader but still the fundamental book on array formation was just way too large. It was impossible for anyone to finish it in a day or two. Li Feng also wanted to study books of other extra arts.

But coming to the talents hall everyday was not something Li Feng wanted to do as staying away from his house was always a bit dangerous in this sect. So it would be best if he could study these books inside his house. But to get these books he needed contribution points and the only way to earn contribution points in the sect for the time being was by doing missions.

For the current time Li Feng wanted to avoid missions as that might attract unwanted attention. It was a little bit uncommon for a new disciple like him to do missions instead of trying to sense the energy of heaven and earth.

But now it looked like he needed to check the mission hall out very soon. From An Zhao Li Feng had learnt that in the mission hall, there were actually suitable missions for even a disciple like him who had not managed to sense the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.

Even though those missions did not pay very well, the cost of these books were not very high and those missions were somewhat safe. So Li Feng thought that it was fine to at least check the missions out. He immediately made up his mind to go to the mission hall the next time he came out.

Li Feng stayed in the talents hall for an hour more and then returned back to his house. On his way he actually saw the scene of a few low stage Qi gathering realm disciples were bullying another disciple of the same rank but with a lower cultivation level.

It was not just a simple verbal bullying but that disciple was getting his blood drained by the others. For a cultivator practicing the Malevolent Blood Arts, blood was equivalent to cultivation. So him permanently losing that blood was equivalent to regression in his cultivation level.

This made Li Feng even more certain that he should not come out very often. And at the same time he also needed to master the control of power for his current realm as soon as possible so that he could increase his cultivation levels again. As Li Feng did not release any aura of cultivation, those disciples did not bother with him and he was able to return to his house without any problem.

There were many combat skills listed here and learning all of them would take a long time. So for the time being Li Feng chose three skills among many and focused on mastering them.

Those three skills were called Crimson Teleportation, Blood Armament and Point Piercing. Crimson Teleportation was a very hard technique to master specially for his current level but it was the best life saving method for his current cultivation realm.

Even though this technique was hard, it was not an impossible technique to learn. So Li Feng was definitely going to try his best in learning this. If he could master this technique even slightly, it would become a very powerful trump card that could save his life in critical situations.

As for blood armament, it was a very versatile skill. He could use this skill to create various weapons made of blood or could even create an armour to cover and protect himself. Not only was this skill extremely versatile, it was also very powerful. The power of the weapons and armours created using this skill depended on the quality of the user's cultivation, so for Li Feng with his extremely powerful technique and spiritual root, this skill would demonstrate its highest value.

But the main reason why he chose this skill was because previously in the practice hall, Li Feng had actually seen a skill that were very similar to the blood armament skill. So even in future Li Feng would be able to freely use this skill inside the sect without much worry. So it was an easy choice for him.

As for his last skill called Point Piercing, it was an extremely powerful killing skill. Not only did this skill have very high killing power, it was also a well hidden skill. So if Li Feng could master it then he would be able to kill someone without anyone else realising that it was actually him who killed that person.

In that regard, this skill was very essential for Li Feng. He was sure that his time in this demonic sect would not be very peaceful and he would need to kill others in the future. So having a trump card that could kill silently was very useful and that was the reason why Li Feng had also chosen this skill.

With his plans ready, Li Feng concentrated on making himself more powerful. He continued learning his skills and practicing his control of spiritual energy. When he was satisfied with his control he started cultivating to increase his level.

Just like that, one week passed and only then Li Feng stopped his seclusion. His cultivation level had reached the 7th level and he had become a high stage cultivator. In this week he had also managed to learn the point piercing and blood armament skill but he would still need a little more time to learn the crimson teleportation skill.

Li Feng was going to continue his training after some time as now he wanted to go to the mission hall to check out what kind of missions were available for him.
