Madison stared at her mom's blank facial expression, her mom stared at the both of them like she was looking at some kind of ghost. Still, she didn't say anything, this was when Madison began to stammer;
“M..m...m...mum, what are you doing here?." She tried to compose herself after seeing her mom's blank face, for sure she was in trouble, actually mainly on George since he was the one doing the teasing. If only he could do archery perfectly she thought they wouldn't be in any trouble or with whatever her mom was thinking seeing that blank face of her mom's.
Dora arrived at the field at the royal field wanting to do archery only to be welcomed by the romance, if she thought she was not shocked then it was all a lie, she heard that they both were...but hadn't seen the PDA-like people had been saying they do but seeing this gave her, gave her all the shock she could get.
She heard of Madison dating the new guy in the kingdom and from what she's seeing they weren't wrong at all. She was coming from the side view and the sight of which she was seeing was quite interesting, she could see the side view of the person hugging her daughter from behind. She wasn't able to see the man but remembering his height and his hair length from when he came she was sure it was him.
The maids in the area began to leave as per instruction as she watch the couple doing some fun archery but seen she was seeing from the side view she thought it was PDA. Well, she stood there watching till Madison turned side also the man.
Seeing the person, he had a different appearance than he had before, though he looked quite nice and better than she'd seen him.
She was speechless that all she could express was a blank facial expression but that didn't mean she wasn't thinking naughty.
‘So this is the man Madison was talking about.’ she mused inwardly looking at both of them. She walked towards them as Madison stood like a statue, and that was when Madison began to stammer.
“M...m..m...mum?. What are you doing...here?.”
She walked still with a blank face, when she reached them at a certain distance she began to speak:
“So how long has this been going on, your courtship,” she said curtly
“Courtship?!!.” now Madison spoke in a surprised tone, she thought George was going to be warned by her mother to stay away from her but instead she got the least question she thought her mom was going to say and now she'll ask till she says ‘You two should get married.’ and she prepares a marriage arrangement for them no doubt.
“Mu…"
“Three months…" before Madison could talk George interrupted that she looked at George with widened eyes, they weren't dating even if people did say. Were they? Though the answer was surprising to Madison the answer brought a smile to Dora's face.
‘Oh no….’ Madison mused inwardly, she felt like slapping George right in the face, what was he thinking? Her mom was mischievous and now he answered. Her mother as always wanted this, and now she was going to be more mischievous.
She and George were only friends but now she figured out George takes their relationship as a courtship which made her excited. But still, she had questions about why George calculated they are staying together, but still, she met George only six months ago and now he's saying they've been dating for three months, what was he?....
‘Three months...but it's just six…’ she mused inwardly looking at the two of them.
“Wait...mom...stop.” she turned to George with gazing eyes with questions in them
“You are saying three months but I only saw you for six months, so explain how possible we've been in your courtship days for three months,” with her question, instead of an answer she was given a giggle from him.
“Okay, since It got nothing to do with your ‘courtship’, okay then I'm going to ask, do you...two love each other.”
“Yes…" the both of them stared at each other at their answer, this was the first time George had said he loves her but still this was indirect.
She blushed to know George loves her.
‘But one of us is going to give the other pain.’ even when George stared at Madison with a smile, he was aching knowing this was all a game, and whether he loves it or not there was nothing to do.
And how possibly was he going to tell Madison and spare the naive girl from heartache? He lowered his face a little that had Dora's notice as she walked towards George placing her hand on his cheek and caressing.
“It seems my daughter chose a man out of a million.”
“Mom, I know what you want to do, you are going to set a marriage proposal with me and George but no you're not unless George…” she was about to confront her mom on this when George held her by the arm, she looked at George with shock eyes.
“Madison…” she looked at him only to see him smiling at her.
“Oh my, what's going on?.” she glared at the two of them only to see each one of them seeing at one other, they did set up a marriage proposal without her notice.
She was excited that the two of them were going to married and George also agreed to this but also she was angry they didn't inform her about this so she kept a sour face to show how unhappy, she was about them not telling her. They both didn't consider her emotions even if she was happy about this. She looked at the both of them with shooting eyes before she stumped out of the place to her room leaving the two.
Once Madison left the area, George looked at Dora giving her a thank-you smile.
“Thank you so much..”
“Please I would like you to put mother at the end.”
“Okay, thank you, mother.”
“No need, I know you'll be there best for my daughter. I'm sure Madison would be happy if I told her earlier, but don't worry she'll be okay within some minutes.”
“I know mother…”
“Trust me, she's happy about this she's just annoyed we didn't tell her earlier.”
“That's how she is,” she said looking at the part where Madison left. She had a smile on her face.
She hoped with this relationship between her and George she was going to grow and develop more than she had before.
George was in his room when he heard a knock on the door, he went to open it to see who was there. He opened the door as he greeted the person he saw at the door.
