Elysia looked around the room, which appeared to be like a hall to her. The door closed behind her, and she stepped forward to reach the main bedroom. Her eyes grew bigger as she looked at the bed. Red rose petals were spread on the white bedsheet while a heart-shaped figure was made at the center using pink and red rose petals.
Elysia wondered if they had to share the same bed. She would request him to bring a separate bed for her. She went to the bed and sat down on the mattress. She laid her back on the mattress and looked at the ceiling.
"God will never spare them. They both have hurt me, and they acted so innocent until the very end," Elysia mumbled as tears rolled down to the side of her eyes. She did not realize for how long she stared at the ceiling when the door opened. She tilted his head and promptly sat up when Tristan entered the room.
Elysia clasped her hands together and she gradually stood up. She still did not meet his gaze. Tristan wiped the tears from her cheeks using his thumb. Their eyes met for a brief moment.
He sat on the chaise at the foot of the bed and asked her to sit down. Elysia sat again on the mattress when Tristan opened his mouth to speak. "What do you do, Elysia?" he asked.
"I majored in architecture and interior designing," Elysia answered.
"Do you know about me?" Tristan asked her.
Elysia shook her head. "Eithan never told me that he has a brother," she stated. "Though I get that the Hunter Family is affluent. We landed in this estate in a chopper that a normal person cannot possess. The mansion is no lesser than a castle." While speaking all such things, a smile appeared on her lips. Trustin's heart thumped against his chest just to see that smile.
"I think you stay away from the news. The Hunter Family is an old affluent family from Europe. My forefathers once were the top officials under the King's rule, so all this fortune and wealth is from my forefathers which continued to grow," he explained to her in the simplest words.
"What do you do?" Elysia asked. She started to get comfortable around him. She had thought that he would act like those creepy men, but he was not that kind.
"I am the CEO of the Hunter Corporation," Tristan replied. "The corporation is not limited to one business. We have the biggest hotel chain in the entire Europe— the Moonlight. Apart from that, Typhoon Investments is another business we possess. We have our hands in the Oil & Gas business too," he briefed her. "You must have heard about Mapletainment. That is also a subsidiary company that we opened four years back."
Elysia was astonished to hear about his businesses. Did he manage all of those businesses? But, how? She was curious to know more, but then they both heard a knock on the door.
Tristan stood up and asked the housemaid to set the dinner on the sofa table which was outside the main bedroom.
He returned and asked Elysia if she would like to have dinner first or to freshen up.
"I am hungry since," Elysia said. Tristan asked her to follow him and she walked after him while holding the gown up.
She sat in the middle of the sofa and filled a plate for her. Tristan looked at her plate and then at her. She had a petite figure. Would she be able to finish that much food? He pondered and watched her eating. Her entire lips were filled with the food grains and it appeared to Tristan that she had not eaten properly for days.
Soon, they finished their meals. Elysia rested her back on the couch and put her hands on her stomach. "I am full. The food was delicious," she looked contended and it made Tristan happy. He found out that she had not wiped her mouth and picked up a few tissues from the table.
He went to her and sat next to her. Elysia tilted her head and sat straight when he brought his hand to the back of her head and with his other hand, he started to clean her mouth. "Are you a kid?" He asked with amusement and he dabbed the napkin on her bottom lip. He put it on the table and used another tissue paper.
Elysia bit her bottom lip in nervousness.
"Don't do that," Tristan told her.
"What?" She was unaware of what Tristan meant by that statement. He gently wiped the side of her lips and then her upper lip.
When Elysia did not get the answer, she asked him, "What did I do?"
Tristan gazed at her and wondered if she pretended to be naive or if she was naive. He gulped as he again got that magical, intoxicating scent from her. His face moved on his own and he gradually lowered his eyes. His gaze lingered on her lips and then down to her shoulders.
He wanted to bury his face in the crook of her neck and inhale that scent from her. His body got hotter as that scent became prominent.
"Tristan'!" Her succulent, rosy, pink lips utter his name so softly that his inner wolf told him to kiss her and claim her. His hand rested on the side of her face, and he could feel her breath falling on his lips.
He came out of that spell when Elysia pushed him away gently. Her hands were on his shoulders while her eyes were on his. "Wh-what were you doing?" She asked in her innocent voice.
He stood up and walked away, leaving her speechless. Was he not supposed to answer her first? She pondered and heard the bang of the door. "Is he angry? But, why? I did not even do anything," she murmured to herself.
Inside the washroom, Tristan was out of his wedding clothes, standing in the shower room naked. He turned on the tap and cold water fell above his body. He groaned and he ran his fingers through his hair. His body wanted Elysia, and it was making him lose control.
