Chapter 6

“You should know how to poop here,” she said and pointed to the box that was full of sand. My forehead creased while looking at the box and when I glance at her, she was smiling widely.

I tilt my head at her trying to inform her that I don’t know what was that for but to my surprise, she immediately gets what I’m trying to say. She clench her hand into a fist and place it on her lips before she cleared her throat.

“So this is what we call litter box.” She pointed her forefinger in the box which made my head nod. “Inside of this box, this is what we call litter sand,” she added.

“You’ll use the litter sand to bury your poop or your pee, okay?” She glances at me with a bright smile on her face.

“Do it,” she commanded that making my mouth part. I’ll do it in front of her? What? I’m an Alpha Prince but the way she treated me is like a real dog.

I gritted my teeth and growled. Her eyes widened in shock until fear is now visible on her face. So what if she’s afraid of me? That’s good so that she can’t command me like I’m a real dog! For Pete’s sake, I’m cursed but fuck! It triggers me every time she commands me.

“Hey, calm down,” she said but I chose to ignore her. I can feel my eyes burning because I’m so mad. How can she do that? Does she think she can calm me down with just a simple word? She commanded a Prince to fucking poop in that bullshit litter box!

“I’m just trying to teach you.” But I just rolled my eyes at her. I heard her sigh and stood up. She began to walk and took something which made my forehead crease. Is that a treat?

“If you poop here, I’ll give you-” I stood up and walk towards the litter box before she finish her sentence. Never mind how I treated her a while ago. The important thing is that she’ll give me a treat.

I entered the litter box and positioned myself. When I’m done, I buried it right away and when I look at her, her mouth parted.

It’s been weeks since I’m confined here at this hospital with this woman. She didn’t leave my side and I can’t help but think if she’s working because if she is, she’s been absent for almost two weeks! How would she be able to pay the bills here if she’s not working? Except if she already has savings or she’s rich.

“Doc, is my dog okay now?” I heard her ask.

“Yes. You can now take him home but please come back here every week for the following check-ups. Also, don’t forget to give him his medicines and vitamins,” he reminded.

A long silence prevailed before the door opened. It immediately caught my attention when she entered. She smiled at me and walk towards my bed, “We’re now going home, Lucas.”

She opened the door in the backseat before she entered. “Where did you get that dog, Ma’am?” someone asked.

Who’s that old man?

“He’s my dog. I saw him weeks ago being beat by the dogs in the street and immediately went to the vet,” she said that made the man smiled.

“This is the first time that you adopt a dog. You hate dogs but I was shocked when I saw you carrying him.” So that’s the reason why he asked this woman.

“Well, people change and I think, having a dog is fun. Besides, Coco is bored there.” My forehead creased when she said that. Who’s that Coco again? Why does she have so many men in her life? Wait, what I’m saying? I don’t care if she has so many men. She can do whatever she wanted to but hopefully, she can help me with this curse. I just need to get her attention and trust.

I heard a loud noise that made me growled but she placed her hand on my head to calm me down before she took something from her bag.

“Hello, Dad.” I look at her and make my ear attentive. I want to know what are they talking about since I’m so curious.

“I adopted a dog and we’re now going home,” she said.

“What comes to your mind and adopting a dog? Is your cat isn’t enough?” I heard a manly voice on that thing and I can feel his voice being irritated for an unknown reason.

“Let me adopt this dog, Dad. I just wanted to take care of this dog,” she said.

“But how can you take care of that dog if you can’t take care of yourself and your cat?” he asked that making this woman beside me sigh.

“Just… let me, Dad. I don’t want to abandon him,” she murmured but there was no response.

She took a deep breath and sigh, “She ended the call.” She put her thing in her bag and rest her head on the window. But my forehead creased when I saw a different magical orb that was floating on her side.

There’s gold, white, blue, brown and so on. How is this possible? How come a mortal suddenly has this kind of magical orb? It makes my mind ache but I wanted to know. What is that thing?

Mages in the Golden Realm only have this kind of magical orb on their sides that surround them but this is weird. A mortal has that kind of magical orb but as far as I remember, they don’t have them because I didn’t even see a single mortal have those when I was traveling trying to find this woman.

What kind of secret does she have? What the heck is she doing? What kind of mortal she is? Perhaps she’s the long-lost princess of the Golden Realm? But how come? Everyone doesn’t know where she is because the moment she was born, she disappeared like a bubble. Even her parents don’t know where she was so this woman may be the Princess.
