Chapter 12
I don’t know how many minutes have passed but watching those kids playing is so comforting and makes me happy too. Those smiles plastered on their faces are so beautiful. I hope that they will always be like this, happy but I know it’s just temporary but at least, they tried being happy and enjoying the moment.
“Oh my! Tofu!” I heard someone shout so I immediately look at that mortal who called me but when I saw her running towards me, I was stunned. Did I make her worry? She looks like she was about to cry. I took a glance at her back and I saw the man that she was with when I left them.
Why is he still here? He should go home now. I let him have a time at my owner but why is he still here and keep on following her?
“I’ve been looking for you for almost 2 hours!” she exclaimed which made me confused. So it’s been 2 hours have passed? I thought it was just minutes so I didn’t mind.
She hugged me right away when she reached me and I can’t help but feel nervous. No one hugged me when I was still in my human form except for my mom because she’s so affectionate and caring mother but this? An unknown mortal hugged me. I don’t know if I will get angry or become shy.
Good thing that I’m just a dog right now because if I’m not, I’ll get blush. My whole face will turn red because of her! Damn, woman! Why do you always make me fall in love deeper with you? I know it’s not intentional but shit! I’m still a man who gets easily feels shy especially if I’m not familiar with this kind of gesture.
“I’m sorry for making you worry. I just wanted you to enjoy your time with him but I guess, I ruined it.” I wanted to say that to her but how will I if I’m like this?
“We’ll go now. Thank you, Marcus,” she said and pull my chain. I can’t feel a bad aura at him so I guess, he’s just a normal mortal.
I immediately followed her and while walking, the maid named Clara is nowhere to be found. Did that witch or demon is now gone? Because the man that attacks us before which is her father is here but the bad aura is now gone. So it means, the demon copied him. Thankfully, nothing happened to this man.
“Dad, you’re home.” The man look at his daughter and nodded his head. His aura is still the same, it’s so calm. So that demon is now gone? Then it’s just an illusion.
When he glances at me, I can still sense that he doesn’t like me. I don’t know why but if it’s just because of me why his daughter and he are fighting then I should excuse myself and lift the curse immediately so that I can continue my mission here aside from this curse.
Although I still haven’t found any clue after that witch or demon disappeared. When will they going to attack again or appear in my front so that I can ask something related to why I got this curse.
“We went to the park to get unwind and teach my dog how to do some tricks, Dad,” she said but his father just nodded his head as if he was not interested in what his daughter saying. He continues typing on something. It looks like a small TV but it has a keyboard. What is that? Is that a gadget or what?
This world is more advance than our world but I’ll explore more here to improve our world too. I’m envious of them so I’ll make my world is almost like this but more advance.
We went to her room upstairs and when she opened the door, I saw Coco who is now sleeping peacefully. Maybe he gets tired of playing a while ago but hopefully, he isn’t angry with me for getting more attention to Zariyah. Maybe he knows my situation?
“I’ll take a shower, Coco and Tofu. Just stay here okay?” she said before entering the bathroom. It’s now evening and I felt sorry for her because I know she’s tired. It should be her day off but because of me, she’s tired again.
I went out to the balcony to get some fresh air but to my surprise, I suddenly transform into my human form. My eyes widened and immediately close the door of the balcony before jumping off. Thankfully, I landed safely.
I hurriedly went under the tree and sat there. I wonder why I transform into my human form. Just like when someone attacked us, I immediately became like this. What kind of mystery is this?
I shook my head and look at the sky and when I saw the moon, my eyes widened. “Is it connected to the moon why I transformed into my human form?” I whispered, trying not to get caught.
I’m still not sure about this but if it’s still a full moon tomorrow and I transformed into my human form again then it’s connected to the moon. I thought that I’m just lucky that I can control my power but it was not.
How can I lift the curse? Should my body be like this before the curse goes away or in my dog form? I’m clueless. The witch should elaborate that before casting me a spell.
I let out a deep sigh and close my eyes. What now? Should I sleep here under the tree or I should climb? Never mind, I should take some rest. Hopefully, the next day would also be peaceful. I’m tired of encountering different problems in just a day.
It feels like my mind will explode at any minute if it continues. This is what I hate with my mind because its storage is limited not just like the other who can absorb everything. I shook my head and let myself fall into a deep sleep.
