Shattered Dreams
The healer dismounted Adrian's horse once they stopped by Casmir and Isabella, she assessed her wounds meticulously, pulling some herbs out of the basket she carried and mashed them into a paste placing it over the now open wound.
"Eat this princess.'' The healer held out a broad leafed herb. "It will numb the pain, and you will lose consciousness again, but I believe that is better than experiencing the pain of traveling back in that cart."
Isabella nodded her head in understanding, taking the leaf and eating it as the healer suggested. The bitter flavor of the leaf stung her tongue until everything slowly became lighter and without any pain. Isabella reached for Casmir's cheek before closing her eyes, losing consciousness yet again.
