Nadine inhaled deeply, well aware of her son's watchful gaze.
"Kenneth Beaumont, your father, was from a line of very powerful wizards, a family of mountain wizards that were well known and feared. Most of the Beaumonts were not really good people and as a result, they had lots of enemies. To protect me and our family, he left his life of magic behind..." Nadine trailed off, a small smile playing on her lips as she recalled some distant memories. Her husband had made a huge sacrifice, one that had ensured their survival.
"You have his blood and you might be able to do magic." She concluded and Alexander felt a ray of hope spring alive in his chest. He could be able to break the curse and save Damon.
"Thank you for telling me, mother." Alexander beamed, his aura instantly bright as he hurried to get out of bed.
"Where are you going in such a hurry?" She asked curiously.
