Chapter 17: The Bookkeeper vs Bishop

"After Rook and Knight of the CHESS organization have been killed by both Zino and Zion Kishima of the Dream Preservers guildz it is now time for the next bout to begin." The Narrator said.

"It was time for Bishop of the CHESS organization versus The Bookkeeper of the Dream Preservers guild." The Narrator continued.

"Well you seem to be another warlock just like the one from earlier." Bishop stated.

"Indeed I am, I'm a sorcerer known as the Bookkeeper." The Bookkeeper stated.

"Never heard much of you." Bishop said as he spat on the ground and proceeds to mock him.

"Suit yourself then." The Bookkeeper said.

"I have faith in Bookkeeper, I know he will win this bout." Creo said to himself.

"But...it feels like CHESS has something else up in their sleeves." Creo muttered to himself as he looked at King and the other CHESS operatives.

"Ok here's the plan, once the bout is over, we strike and fight against the other CHESS members, I feel like they're up to something sinister." Creo whispered to the Arquitenen Leader

"Uhuh." The Arquitenen Leader nods as he was listening to what Creo has to say.

"Bishop and The Bookkeeper engage in battle with The Bookkeeper using his book of spells to unleash upon havoc towards Bishop." The Narrator stated.

"Kinda giving me trouble right now to be honest." Bishop stated.

"Well do you think people give fair fights these days." The Bookkeeper sighed.

"I guess you made your point." Bishop stated.

"Let's get started shall we?" The Bookkeeper asked.

"Sure thing, let the battle begin." Bishop replied as he prepared his fighting stance.

"The fight begins to commence as both fighters began to charge with one another with them attacking one another with such ferocity." The Narrator said.

"Please don't disappoint me and last longer." The Bookkeeper requested.

"Don't worry I'll savor every single moment of this battle, I'm not like those guys." Bishop replied as he charged at him diagonally.

"Not bad." The Bookkeeper said as he scoffed and spat on the ground.

"What's the matter, I thought we were going to fight, ya fool?" Bishop stated.

"Oh we are." The Bookkeeper said sinisterly.

"He proceeded to chant and summoned in a cursed spirit using his book." The Narrator said.

"Sorry had to spice things up, say hello to my friend over here." The Bookkeeper said sarcastically.

"Shit!" Bishop said as he was trying to run away.

"What's the matter, can't keep up?" The Bookkeeper said sarcastically.

"As the Bishop and the cursed spirit alongside the Bookeeper fight, the others could not help but plan their next strategy." The Narrator said.

"Bishop eventually bests the cursed spirit combat and charges at the Bookkeeper with full throttle." The Narrator said.

"Impressive feat, I'll give you that." The Bookkeeper said as he created a magical shield to block Bishop's attack.

"I'll put on quite the performance that my contemporaries failed to do." Bishop declared as he stopped and disappeared.

"You don't fail in trying to impress me." The Bookkeeper said sarcastically.

"As The Bookkeeper began to cast a mystical blade, Bishop attacks him diagonally to which the Bookkeeper was able to block." The Narrator said.

"You cheeky bastard." The Bookkeeper said as he blocked the attack.

"You're fighting someone with stealth, take things more seriously." Bishop stated.

"All out you say, well then!!!" The Bookkeeper said.

"The Bookkeeper casted a barrage of blades to simultaneously attack Bishop all at once." The Narrator said.

"Bishop began to experience the struggle as he himself cannot handle all of the blades at once." The Narrator said.

"What's the matter, had enough?" The Bookkeeper said as he punched Bishop in the face.

"I still have more stamina." Bishop said as he kicked The Bookkeeper's leg and knocks him down on the ground.

"Bishop proceeds to grab his blade and stabs the Bookkeeper." The Narrator said in shock.

"Argh!" The Bookkeeper said as he screamed in agony.

"Good one Bishop." Nightshade said, commenting on Bishop's work.

"I'm much more ruthless than my other contemporaries, Bookkeeper." Bishop said mockingly as he disappears.

"He reappears and steps on his wound." The Narrator said.

"The Bookkeeper could not help but scream in agony." The Narrator said.

"That bastard, he's treating Bookkeeper like nothing but trash!" Athena said furiously.

"Athena, don't you have faith in him, besides he's just playing weak cause I know one thing about him is that its all part of his plan." Creo said to Athena.

"Haha." The Bookkeeper said as he slowly rose up.

"What's so funny, bastard?" Bishop said furiously.

"You called me a fool earlier when you are the one who has become the fool." The Bookkeeper said menacingly.

"And suddenly, the Bishop felt strings attached around his body, as he felt helpless and unable to move." The Narrator said.

"What the hell is this?" Bishop asked angrily.

"My trump card, you see as you stabbed me, you didn't notice my hands slowly casting string and while you were caught off-guard, I attached it on your body with just a swish of my fingers." The Bookkeeper said as he cleaned his clothes before spitting on the ground.

"You sick bastard." Bishop said as he was going to run towards him.

"Fool, you're unable to move in this state, you are in what I call the Binding Puppet Technique meaning as long as I am the one who's controlling the strings, means that you do exactly what I have to say." The Bookkeeper replied.

"Grrrr." Bishop grunted.

"As the Bookkeeper began to run so did Bishop with him using a mystical blade and Bishop using his blade as they both clashed and as they clashed into one another, the unexpected began to happen." The Narrator exclaimed.

"Both of them stabbed one another and moved in opposite directions, with both falling down on the ground at the same time." The Narrator said in shock.

"Come on Bookkeeper, I know you got this." Creo said as he had hope that Bookkeeper would get up.

"After a few minutes, the Bookkeeper miraculously managed to get up from the ground with Bishop lying down, presumed dead." The Narrator said.

"Rest in Peace, Bishop. You were quite an honorable CHESS operative." Nightshade said in respect.

"Nightshade, you know what to do." King said.

"Roger that!" Nightshade said as he proceeded to control the Bookkeeper.

"You traitorous bastard!" Creo said angrily.

"You think you're one step ahead, King of Elderith." King said mockingly.

"Oh no, you are ten steps behind us!" King said.

"Attack my Pawns! Hold them off!" King said commandingly

"And so, it all led to chaos with the Pawns and the Arquitenen Archers battling to the death on the bridge, with King admiring the chaos that is going on." The Narrator said.

"It's been nice knowing you, King of Elderith but I've got a flight to catch, bon voyage!" King said menacingly as he, Queen and Nightshade flee and take off in their steampunk warship.

"Damn it, they're getting away!" Creo said angrily.

"Zino, cast a portal to Elderith, and heal the Bookkeeper afterwards. I've got a bad feeling about this!" Creo said.

"Roger that, Creo!" Zino said as he proceeded to cast a portal.

"The rest, come with me. It's going to be an all-out war!" Creo said.

"And so, with CHESS escaping from Creo's clutches, everything is going to lead up into a chaotic war that Creo must prepare as tragedy is about to strike." The Narrator concluded.
