Alice was sitting in front of the mirror.
She looked at the pale face without make-up.
Slowly she fingered her face, feeling so dull, without the skincare.
Since the incident that happened to her in London, she no longer pays attention to appearances.
Her body is also getting thinner, because of a messy diet.
Somehow Alice seemed to have no zest for life.
The trials that befell her one after another.
It started when the mother was sick, and took care of her wholeheartedly, then the mother left her forever.
She just found happiness in her household with Carlos, but a few years later, her happiness began to disappear, due to the arrival of a third person.
Alice must fight alone to heal her hurt. Until she can find happiness in her life again.
But just a little bit of that happiness, Sea erased it and replaced the happiness with a terror.
Terror and life experiences that she can never forget forever.
"Why is my luck always lost? I don't have the luck of my life?" murmured Alice in the mirror. She pushed her hair that covered her face.
"Alice, why don't you just die?" She was getting tired of all this.
Tok! Tok! Tok!
"Alice!" Bella knocks on the door.
"Yeah, just a minute!" said Alice.
Ceklek!
"What's wrong, Bella?"
"There's Felix outside,"
"Oww, well I'm going to meet him!" Alice rushed out of the room, about to meet Felix, but Bella stopped her.
"Wait!"
"What?"
"You want to meet Felix with an appearance like this?" Bella asked, frowning.
"So what?" Alice looked to herself, "is there something wrong with my appearance, this?"
"Of course!" Bella answered firmly.
"Hah?" Alice furrowed her brows in confusion.
Then Bella slowly explained to her sister that Alice's appearance had been so messy lately. And that made her feel uncomfortable. She was very pitiful for Alice who turned ugly.
Her young sister whom she knew before was a beautiful girl who was very polite, although she did not like to look too flashy, she always looked presentable. Unlike now, it wasn't the Alice she knew.
"Alice, that's not the way to meet a man. At least you should get your hair done, comb it first to make it look good!" said Bella.
Bella reached for the hairbrush in front of the mirror.
"Here, let me comb your hair!" Alice could only surrender when Bella touched her hair. The woman deftly tidied her sister's hair which was very tangled.
"Am I that messy, huh?"
"Um!" Bella nodded her head with her hands still busy on Alice's comb.
"But I'm not—" Bella cut Alice off.
"Alice, have you showered yet?"
"Already! Just now! What's wrong?"
"Here!" Bella grabbed Alice's hand and led her to sit in front of the dressing table.
Without another word, she started to apply makeup to Alice's face.
"Hey, Bella! What the hell?" Alice protested, feeling uncomfortable.
"That's it! You just shut up! I'll take care of your appearance!"
"Ah, but lately I don't care about my appearance!"
"It's precise because I know that, so why I want you to go back to being the Alice I know!"
"But I'm not going anywhere, Bella! I just want to meet Felix!" Alice protested. "I don't need to make-up too much, huh?"
"Well, that's the reason why you have to look beautiful in front of him!"
"Ah! You're crazy, aren't you? Felix is just my friend! Not a British royal!" said Alice.
"Ah, what a fool! I know he likes you, so you can't let him down!" Bella insisted.
Alice swiftly held Bella's hand which was holding a blush brush.
"Wait!" she said.
"What?!" Bella asked.
"Em ... how do you know if Felix likes me? I haven't told you yet?" said Alice.
"You haven't told me! It's just me who is too sensitive!" Bella's answered.
"But there's no need to overdo it, right?"
"Ah ... come on, Alice! How long are you going to be alone? I'm already a widow, what you think you're comfortable being a widow too!" said Bella.
"What's wrong with a widow? I'm fine even if I don't have a husband?" Alice responded.
"Trust me! You should have a husband soon!"
"Why don't you just have a husband first?" Alice protested.
"I don't want to! I already have two children! And you don't have!"
"Hey, Bella! Since you already have two kids, you should be the one to find a new dad for, Daniel and Diana!" Alice suggested.
"No! I still love Archer! And don't want to replace him!" Bella answered.
"You mean, you're still loyal to that Masher?" said Alice.
Bella looked shocked to hear Alice's words.
"What does it mean?" Bella asked Alice, "you said that 'Archer is a Masher?'"
"Eh, they-aren't you?" Alice immediately looked for a way to quell Bella's anger at her words.
'Good grief! I wrong said it! I don't want Bella to know that her late husband was an asshole!' said Alice silently.
"Why are you silent?"
"Bella! I said the wrong thing! The man I mean 'Masher' is Carlos!" said Alice.
"Hmm... is that so, huh?" Bella looked doubtful.
"Yeah, that's why I don't want to be in a serious relationship with another man! Because I'm still traumatized by Carlos!" Alice explained.
And now Bella was no longer suspicious of Alice's slipping words earlier.
Instead, he tell about Carlos.
"Alice, but I think your ex-husband has changed, you know," Bella said.
"Really? But I don't care anyway!" Alice answered, and Bella went on again.
"It was me who told Carlos to come to pick you up!" said Bella.
"Yeah, I know! He told me too! Besides, you asked me for permission before!" Alice answered.
"Yeah! I didn't want to give you your address at first, but the man pleaded with a guilty look on his face!" said Bella. "If you see it, you will feel pity, Carlos cried in front of me, Alice," Bella explained with a serious expression.
"Ah, once a crocodile is always a crocodile! That can't turn into a turtle! So I don't believe in Carlos' transformation!" Alice insisted.
"Ah, I see? Well... never mind... it's your choice. I can't force it!" Bella said, "but what about Felix?" Bella asked in Alice's teasing tone.
"He's not only good but handsome," she whispered in Alice's ear.
"Em… how about we talk about, Daniel, and, Diana, shall we?" said Alice changing the subject.
