chapter 41 : Enemy

Queen Evelyn Ember se Konrad. The only Queen in Ophelia Empire which gain so much favor from the emperor because of her beauty. She was the only sister of duke Konrad which had so much influence after the Grand duke Harrison. She is an official concubine of the emperor but become a queen after the late empress Stella depart 9 years ago and she give birth to a princess and the fourth prince.

If the current empress, empress Seraphina is on first prince side despite her own son, then she is on the crown prince Airel side, it's mean the Konrad House was on his side too. it became a big problem for Rigel to get his title back because Airel had an influence allies in his side despite his cruel personality as a crown prince. Well, Rigel still had the Soleil, the most noblest influential house within the empire as on his side because of his engagement with Crystelle. It's a fierce battle for the throne because of the princes influential within the empire is on par with each other.

Crystelle stare at her in anxiety.

Queen Evelyn calmly sipping her tea while ignore Crystelle stared.

' You look trouble, lady Soleil. Please have a tea while we talk. '

Crystelle flustered and quickly sip her tea.

' You had an amazing strength just like your brother. No wonder my niece was lose to you with just a knock. It seem the story about your family generations was a great hero of the wars was a true after all. '

Crystelle frown and look straight at her. ' Ohoh, she's challenging me, huh? '

' Well, of course it's true, your highness the Queen. It's written yet in the Ophelia history from our ancients times. it's our family proof as a loyal subject for the royalty and Ophelia empire for the generations. '

Queen Evelyn laugh while cover her mouth.

' Oh my, Lady Soleil. Please don't get mad, I'm just teasing you. I knew that much too even though we are enemies. Our Konrad yet still far away from your position in this empire because of your families stunning abilities in every generation. ' smile Queen Evelyn.

Crystelle smirk at her. ' She's planning something.. let's fight back. '

' Very well, I hope so that sir Allen will get to surpass me one day. As his aunt, you know it's a shame to lose to his enemy as the next heir for Konrad, right? ' smile Crystelle back at her.

Queen Evelyn raise her eyebrow.

' I hope so too, but it's good for his education if he lose to you, Lady Soleil. So I didn't have to worry about it at all. ' smile the queen.

Crystelle force a smile despite her annoyed feeling toward the queen words. ' She's hard.'

' Well, I think so too, my queen. ' agreed Crystelle while sip her tea politely. ' I need to change my strategy. '

Queen Evelyn smirk at Crystelle.

' Well, we actually will not become an enemy if you've yet not break the engagement between you and the crown prince, Lady Soleil. We might be in a good term if you had not choose that abandoned prince than choose to marry and become the crown princess like we had planned before. '

Crystelle grunted and grit her lips. ' so, that's was your attention to talk with me? '

' Very well, my queen. but it's my own life. I'm free to choose who I want and what will I become. From my view, my current fiancée was the best candidate to be my partner for my own future. That's why, I choose him despite being the future fiance for the crown prince like you had planned for me with the emperor without me knowing it. I simply avoid a devastating end for my future though.' smile Crystelle.

Queen Evelyn frown and glare intensely at her.

' Well, with that answer, It's look like you've made your mind, Lady Soleil. you're the one to make us become like this. Our Konrad will not sit still and look at your fiance success to the throne just like that. we will look forward for the day our family will get your families position, Lady Soleil. '

Crystelle smirk at her words. ' it's mean she declared a war between our houses. such a brave family. '

' Yes, I will look forward for it too, my queen. '

Crystelle slowly get up and permit herself to leave the room.

' You will get a punishment for your sin to broke our family agreement, Lady Soleil. '

Crystelle stop her walk and turn her face to look at the queen.

Queen Evelyn just make and innocent face while sweet smile at her.

Crystelle smile back at her. ' Such a damn curse you dared spoke. '

' Very well, please pardon my insolence words toward you for our whole conversation, my queen. ' bow Crystelle.

Queen Evelyn chuckle and nodded at her.

' You really are so bold like the emperor said, Lady Soleil. '

Crystelle just smile and slowly bow at her.

She continue to walk and get out from the room.

' What? so, it's my fault? because of me, we become an enemy? hey! our families yet had becomes enemies for generations okay?! such a damn mouth that queen had! ' mumble Crystelle in anger while walk away to the library.

' Ah! I'm frustrated! ' shout Crystelle in whispers while lay her head on the table in the library.

Crystopher raise his eyebrow. ' Let me guess, the queen said something to you? '

Crystelle nodded her head in anger.

' Yes! that's old pretty lady is such a damn person! ' mad Crystelle.

Crystopher chuckle. ' You really can't get mad truly if it about a stunning person you're angry at, Elle.'

Crystelle slowly nodded agreed again.

' It's such a pain to have a weakness for a charming person.. ' mumble Crystelle.

Crystopher chuckle again and pinch Crystelle cheek sweetly.

' Such a great job to defend yourself from that old pretty lady queen words, Elle. '

Crystelle pout. ' I thought at that time, I was going to died before I get to see my fiance again. '

Crystopher grunted and shut his book to talk with Crystelle more.

' How Prince Rigel doing at the border, sister? ' ask him concern in a serious tone.

Crystelle raise her head from the table and lean to the chair in bored.

' He's the same, still busy with the wars. He even didn't reply my letter the last whole month.' complain Crystelle.

Crystopher frown. ' For that long? he must be so busy to ignore you like that, sister. Don't get bother by it and just let him done his work at there quickly so you can get to see him in an early time than it supposed to be, sister. Just trust him. ' pursued Crystopher.

Crystelle make an annoyed face with his words.

' Don't take his side! you're my brother, Cryst! it's his fault this time! ' angry Crystelle.

Crystopher chuckle.

' Yes, yes, my lovely sister. you're the one at right now.'

Crystelle frown with his words.

' You're not meant what you've just said! ' anger Crystelle more.

Crystopher sigh and give up with her actions.

' It's suck to have a long distance relationship. ' mumble him alone while open his book again and ignore Crystelle.

Crystelle pout and place her head on the table again.

' I hate the long distance relationship so much...' complain Crystelle in mumble.

Crystopher heard her words and grin while look at his book. ' Elle is so cute..'

Meanwhile Crystelle lost in her deep thoughts.

' If the queen was my family enemy, doesn't that make my own friends, my enemy too? let's count, there Allen, her niece. wait! even Sylvia will be my enemy too! I'm screw. Okay, Okay. count again, there Allen, Sylvia. wait! Larrisa and Atter too is my enemy because they are her queen child! I'm screw again! ' Crystelle suddenly slap her face slowly.

Crystopher stunned with her sudden action and quickly hold her hand.

' Sister! what are you doing?! ' shock him.

Crystelle blank and stunned with Crystopher sudden grip.

' What? what's wrong, Cryst? '

Crystopher sigh and let her hand go.

' You're slapping your own face, sister. don't make me worried. '

Crystelle chuckle and slowly cares for his hand.

' I'm just thinking about something. You don't have to worry, Cryst. Okay? ' Crystelle tilt her head to act cute before Crystopher.

Crystopher chuckle while nodded his head. He slowly read his book again.

' Okay! let's count again! ' thought Crystelle while nodded her head.

' There Allen, Sylvia, princess Larissa, prince Atter, wait! since lady Farra is going to be Atter fiance, that's mean she's my enemy too! screw again!? ' Crystelle slap her forehead in disbelief.

' Oops! sorry.. ' Crystelle realize that Crystopher was glare at her because of her actions before.

' Okay.. let's count again.. there Allen, Sylvia, princess Larissa, prince Atter, Lady Farra. Wait! it's not all of this is my friends? except from my family, there will be just Rigel only, I'm really screwed this time!! '. Crystelle sigh hardly.

Crystopher glare at her again.

Crystelle flinch and cover her face from Crystopher with a book she grab unintentionally from the shelve at her back.

' Hehe.. ' cover her.

Crystopher sigh and continue his read again.

' I'm really screw. All of my friends is my enemy when we get in the high society later?! such a cruel world to twist my fate like this! ' anger Crystelle in her head.

' What I'm gonna do..? '

Crystelle lost in her deep thoughts and thus, the final term approaching for the first year and there a big final exam to be a 2 year students in the Evelyn academy.
