“I thought you said you didn’t know what you want,” Jenny said, matching his tone.

“No, but I know who I want.”

“You already had me.”

“Yes. Repeatedly, and in several interesting positions. Even so, I find that there’s a part of me—a large of part of me—that wants more of you.”

Slowly, Jenny leaned forward and set her glass on the coffee table. “Which is why you never called.”

“I spent the last two weeks working twenty hour days,” Ashley returned. “Which is one reason why I never called. Another reason is that until last night, I believed you were still engaged, and what’s more, moving to Boston.”

“My being engaged never stopped you before. I seem to recall you telling me more than once that my relationship with Bryan wasn’t your problem.”

“I wasn’t interested in sharing you with your fiancé.”
