They moved closer during the long elevator ride, until there wasn’t even an inch between their bodies, but he still didn’t kiss her. He didn’t want to start until he knew he didn’t have to stop.

The doors whispered open, and they were one step closer, one measure nearer to the realization of all the fantasies that had occupied his thoughts. Ashley led her down the hall, her fingers laced with his, but when he pulled his keys from his pocket to unlock his door, Jenny moved behind him, pressing into his back as her free arm slid around his waist.

“Know what I’m looking forward to?” she murmured. Her breath was hot through his T-shirt, her cheek almost more so, and his abdomen tensed from the feather strokes of her fingers. “Getting you all to myself. I keep wondering if you’re going to taste as good as I think you will.”
