“I guess I must be desperate or something.”

Yvonne looked at him thoughtfully, and then shrugged. “Let her go.”

“Let her go? That was my plan anyway, so why did you bring it up?”

“Let her go if you’re not going to take a few risks for her, Ash. She’s either worth it, or she’s not. And if she’s not, stop panting after her like some kid who just discovered his dick.”

“I’m not panting after her…”

Yvonne smiled at him gently. “Look, we have a good time together. I won’t lie to you; I don’t want to lose that. But you’ve never looked at me the way you looked at her when you thought nobody was watching. So if you want her, you have to fight for her. Otherwise, stop leading her on.”

“What if she doesn’t want me to fight for her?”

“What if she’s waiting for you to do just that?”
